Opis:
The stonewort Chara connivens was rediscovered in the Vistula Lagoon in 2011, almost 35 years after its last record. In 2012, the species was recorded for the first time in the Szczecin Lagoon. Chara connivens occurred at shallow (0.5–1.2 m) sandy-muddy and muddy bottoms of small embayments. In the Vistula Lagoon, the stonewort was represented by single small specimens, while in the Szczecin Lagoon, it formed dense and extensive patches.

The article presents the spread of the liverwort Tetralophozia setiformis in the Polish Tatra Mts (Western Carpathians). In the years 1814-1957 only four localities of this plant have been found in High Tatra Mts. Since the 90-ties, an increase in recording of T. setiformis has been noticed, including the first locality in Western Tatra Mts. Currently, there are 17 localities of T. setiformis in the Polish Tatra Mts. In many of them, the plant occurs abundantly; it also remains in the places of its first records. The species has a narrow ecological scale. It is attached to rock blocks, mostly of north exposition. It creates small, single-species turfs plaited in mossy pillows of alpine grasslands of Oreochloo distichae-Juncetum trifidi racomitrietosum lanuginosi hung among rocks.

Seven species of Myxomycetes are reported from Poland for the first time. These are Arcyria virescens, Cribraria costata, C. elegans, C. languescens, C. mirabilis, C. pertenuis and Trichia flavicoma. They have very few localities in Europe and Cribraria pertenuis is known only from two sites worldwide. The species are described and illustrated with microphotographs, including first published micrographs of C. pertenuis. Localities are given and the taxonomy and ecology of each species are discussed.

This paper presents information about the catching in Poland of a very rare species of spider Karita paludosa (Duffey 1971). On the basis of the collected specimen a description and pictures illustrating the diagnostic characters of the female spiders K. paludosa have been made as well as a map of the distribution of this species in Europe.
Karita paludosa (Duffey) jest bardzo rzadkim, higrofilnym gatunkiem pająka wymienianym dotychczas wśród nielicznych znalezisk z Wysp Brytyjskich, krajów Beneluksu, Szwecji oraz Rosji. W artykule przedstawiono informacje na temat odkrycia w Polsce stanowiska Karita paludosa (Duffey) w okolicach Supraśla. Na podstawie zebranego okazu wykonano ryciny ilustrujące cechy diagnostyczne samic tego bardzo rzadkiego i słabo znanego pająka oraz sporządzono mapę rozmieszczenia tego gatunku w Europie.

Information about second finding of Laricifomes officinalis (Batsch) Kotl. & Pouzar (Fomitopsidaceae) in the Gorce Mountains in the External Western Carpathians is given, and its legitimate and illegitimate selected synonyms are cited. This species in Poland is very rare and threatened.
We wrześniu 1955 roku A. Skirgiełło zorganizowała wycieczkę mikologiczną w Karpaty, do Krościenka nad Dunajcem. Uczestnicy: A. Skirgiełło, B. Gumińska, A. Nespiak i M. Lisiewska (Skirgiełło 1959, 2006) zbierali grzyby w trzech regionach fizyczno-geograficznych: w Beskidzie Sądeckim, Gorcach i Pieninach. Dla okazu L. officinalis znajdującego się w Zielniku Zakładu Systematyki i Geografii Roślin Instytutu Botaniki Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego jako stanowisko podane jest „Krościenko” ale Skirgiełlo (1959) informuje, że przeważającą liczbę Polyporaceae zebrano na zboczu „wzniesienia nad Zakrętkami”. Wymienione „wzniesienie” to góra Marszałek w Gorcach, leżąca ponad Krościenkiem nad Dunajcem. Uczestnicy wycieczki zbierali grzyby także na szczycie tej góry. W 1970 r. autor zebrał L. officinalis pod szczytem Marszałka, być może na tym samym stanowisku, na którym gatunek ten znalazła A. Skirgiełlo w 1955 r. W. Wojewoda zebrał okazy tego gatunku 40 lat temu. Nie wiadomo czy stanowisko to się zachowało. Konieczne jest poszukiwanie na Marszałku tego bardzo rzadkiego i zagrożonego w Polsce grzyba. Gatunek ten w ostatnich latach wymieniany był w publikacjach pod nazwą Fomitopsis officinalis (Vill.) Bondartsev & Sing. Obecnie obowiązuje uprawniona nazwa Laricifomes officinalis (Batsch) Kotl. & Pouzar (MycoBank 2009).

Two new localities of Orobanche mayeri (Suess. & Ronniger) Bertsch & F. Bertsch, one of the rarest representatives of the family Orobanchaceae in Europe, are reported from southern Poland. The species was recorded in the Pieniny Mts (Central Western Carpathians) in July 2009. The hosts, abundance and habitat preferences at the new localities are described and a supplemented map of the distribution in Europe and Poland is given.

Ramaria fagicola is a rare European species. It was previously known only from three localities in western Europe. The species is reported here from Poland, where it was first observed on decomposing wood of Pinus sylvestris in the Wierzchlas reserve in Bory Tucholskie Forest (N Poland). It is the first record of the fungus on conifer wood as habitats associated with deciduous wood, mostly Fagus, reported in literature.

Opis:
A total of 114 elk faecal samples from the Polesie National Park and adjacent forest districts were examined in 2013 and 2014. Three samples were positive. The positive samples were from the village of Wereszczyn, the Sobibor forest district, and the Polesie National Park and Forest district, Parczew. Morphometric examination revealed that the oocysts belong to the species Eimeria alces. This is the second identification of the parasite in elk in Poland and the fifth worldwide.

The paper contains preliminary results of mycological research conducted in the Białaczów forest reserve, situated at the Wzgórza Opoczyńskie Upland. There are only data on macromycetes at this area. The occurrence of 167 species of macrofungi has been documented on the background of variety of tree stand and habitats. In July 2011 a heavy wind storm destroyed the tree stand and devastated the reserve. Now the area is in course of natural renovation. The data presented in the paper could be used as comparative fungal material concerning qualitative and quantitative changes.
Prezentowane dane są wynikiem badań prowadzonych w latach 2006-2007 w rezerwacie Białaczów (Polska Środkowa). Celem badań było poznanie składu gatunkowego grzybów makroskopowych i przedstawienie ich na tle drzewostanu i siedliska. Łącznie zidentyfikowano 167 taksonów grzybów makroskopowych (13 gatunków Ascomycota i 154 Basidiomycota). W rezerwacie, dominują grzyby saprotroficzne – 118 gatunków, grzybów mikoryzowych zebrano 44 gatunki, a pasożytniczych 5 gatunków. Pod względem ekologicznym przeważają grzyby tworzące owocniki na ziemi (74) oraz na drewnie (62), natomiast grzyby naściółkowe reprezentowane są przez 31 gatunków. W rezerwacie odnotowano także jedenaście gatunków z czerwonej listy grzybów wielkoowocnikowych zagrożonych w Polsce: Phleogena faginea (E), Hypsizygus ulmarius, Mycena purpureofusca, Inonotus tomentosus(V), Clavariadelphus fistulosus, C. junceus, Gyroporus cyanescens, Lactarius chrysorrheus, Pachyphloeus melanoxanthus (R), Russula amoenoleus, Hygrophorus hypothejusvar. hypothejus(I). Przedstawione wyniki z jednej strony stanowią dokumentację mykologiczną, a z drugiej materiał wyjściowy do badań porównawczych w procesie zmian w następstwie zniszczenia rezerwatu przez wichurę w 2011 roku.

Morinia pestalozzioides, Seimatosporium hypericinum, Septoria artemisiae, S. artemisiaemaritimae, S. achilleicolaand S. symphyti, fungi not recorded in Poland before, are described and illustrated. The species were found during studies on the occurrence of parasitic fungi conducted in selected sites in the Słowiński National Park and in the Western Pomerania between 2001 and 2004.
W latach 2001-2004 w wybranych stanowiskach Słowińskiego Parku Narodowego i Pomorza Zachodniego prowadzono badania nad występowaniem grzybów pasożytniczych. W trakcie badań znaleziono Morinia pestalozzioides, Seimatosporium hypericinum, Septoria artemisiae, S. artemisiae-maritimae, S. achilleicolai S. symphyti, gatunki nowe dla Polski. W artykule opisano i zilustrowano znalezione gatunki grzybów.

Morphological features of oospores of Chara baueri A. Braun, one of the rarest charophyte species worldwide, were studied based on 100 oospores collected from a small and temporarily dried mid-field pond near Cedynia, Western Poland. This is the first Polish and fifth presently known locality of this species. For comparison 67 oospores from a German population (similar pond localized near Batzlow, Germany) were also measured. So far, data on morphology of C. baueri oospores as well as the species ecology are limited. The only more detailed study of oospores for this species was earlier performed on 15 oospores from Kazakhstan. Largest polar axis (LPA, length), largest equatorial diameter (LED, width), isopolarity index (ISI = LPA/LED × 100), number of ridges, width of fossa, distance from apical pole to LED (AND) and anisipolarity index (ANI = AND/LPA × 100) were measured. The comparative analysis revealed that the oospores from Poland are generally bigger and more prolate than the German ones. The differences for most of studied parameters were statistically significant. The finding is discussed in the context of habitat differentiation of both studied sites. Moreover, the results obtained of oospore measurements for both populations differs from most of the data known so far from the literature.

Chamaecytisus albus (Hacq.) Rothm. is an extremely rare species, which is inserted in many European red lists and red books. Its continuous range covers the south-eastern part of Europe. That species grows in intensely insolated and calcareous habitats of xerothermic grasslands. Only one station of White Broom had been known in the valley of the Bug river, near Hrubieszów, but in 2007 a new one was discovered near Jędrzejów. That station is located the farthest in the north and the west in Europe and it is completely detached from the continuous range.
