Opis:: The topic of the paper concerns partnerships of local communities of Poland and Germany in terms of the EU referring to specific examples. Briefly, a number of determinants that contributes to the intensification of bilateral cooperation has been identified. Moreover, the role of local partnerships in the EU terms was explained. Research questions that have been posed are: firstly, how the concept of the local community should be understood taking into consideration the context of relations between Poland and Germany and their EU membership? Secondly, what are the levels of international cooperation of the local partners? Thirdly, what are the key determinants affecting the intensifi cation of cooperation between Polish and German communities at the local level? In order to answer these questions case studies of selected partnerships concluded by the Polish and German local communities were provided.

Opis:: Within 2001-2002 a total of 621 eel Anguilla anguilla (L., 1758) (488 from the Vistula Lagoon and 133 from the Puck Bay) were examined. Fifteen parasite taxa were recovered: Pseudodactylogyrus anguillae (Yin et Sproston, 1948), Brachyphallus crenatus (Rudolphi, 1802), Deropristis inflata (Molin, 1859), Diplostomum spp., Bothriocephalus claviceps (Goeze, 1782), Proteocephalus macrocephalus (Creplin, 1825), Anguillicola crassus (Kuwahara, Niimi et Itagaki, 1974), Camallanus lacustris (Zoega, 1776), Cystidicola farionis Fischer, 1798, Hysterothylacium aduncum (Rudolphi, 1802), Raphidascaris acus (Bloch, 1779), Acanthocephalus anguillae (Müller, 1780), A. lucii (Müller, 1776), Echinorhynchus gadi Müller, 1776, and Pomphorhynchus laevis (Müller, 1776), representing Monogenea, Digenea, Cestoda, Nematoda, and Acanthocephala, respectively. Ten of these taxa occurred in the Vistula Lagoon, while fourteen were noted in the, Puck Bay. P. anguillae, Diplostomum spp., C. lacustris, C. farionis and P. laevis were not found in the lagoon eels, while B. crenatus did not occur in the bay. Anguillicola crassus was the most frequently found parasite (Vistula Lagoon: prevalence 75%, mean intensity 6.9 specimens; Puck Bay: 74.4%, and 8.3 specimens, respectively). Pseudodactylogyrus anguillae was recorded for the first time in the Puck Bay.

Opis:: The available phytosociological literature were reviewed and compared with 12 original relevés made on representative of habitats of fir trees in the study area. Only in the eastern part of the Sudety Mts. silver-fir is still important forest tree. It is found most frequently in potential sites of acidophilic beech forest, which vegetation is now strongly transformed because of planting them with spruce. Typical, mainly acidophilic beech forest takes second place (in respect of frequent occurrence). Oak-hornbeam forest take third position.

Opis:: The aim of this study was to determine fruit yield of Oxycoccus palustris under the climatic and habitat conditions of northern Wielkopolska (the Greater Poland region), depending on the type of occupied plant community. Total fruit number and fruit weight as well as average cranberry leaf size were determined on 33 plots with an area of 1 m2, located on 7 peatlands. On the study areas, European cranberry produced crops from 9.2 up to 242.0 g x m -2, which gives 92-2420 kg x ha -1. It has been demonstrated that on the peatlands of northern Wielkopolska O. palustris reaches its generative and vegetative optimum in the communities of the class Scheuchzerio- Caricetea fuscae, in particular in the community Sphagno recurvi-Eriophoretum angustifolii.
Oxycoccus palustris jest jedną z najważniejszych roślin użytkowych rosnących na torfowiskach północnej półkuli. Celem niniejszych badań było określenie plonowania żurawiny błotnej w warunkach klimatyczno-siedliskowych północnej Wielkopolski, w zależności od typu zajmowanego zbiorowiska roślinnego. Określono całkowitą liczbę i masę owoców oraz średnią wielkość liści żurawiny błotnej na 33 poletkach o powierzchni 1 m2, położonych na 7 torfowiskach. Analizowano występowanie Oxycoccus palustris w trzech zbiorowiskach z klasy Scheuchzerio- Caricetea fuscae oraz trzech z klasy Oxycocco- Sphagnetea. Na wytyczonych powierzchniach żurawina uzyskiwała plon od 9.2 do 242.0 g x m-2, co daje 92-2420 kg x ha-1. Wykazano znaczną zmienność badanych cech omawianego gatunku. Stwierdzono dodatnią korelację między średnią wielkością liści a średnią masą owoców na poletkach. Można sądzić, że opisywane przez innych autorów taksony: O. palustris Pers. subsp. microphyllus (Lange) Löve et Löve i O. palustris Pers. subsp. palustris var. macrophyllus Gug., to dwa warunkowane siedliskowo ekotypy żurawiny błotnej.Wykazano, że na torfowiskach północnej Wielkopolski O. palustris osiąga optimum generatywne i wegetatywne w zbiorowiskach z klasy Scheuchzerio- Caricetea fuscae, szczególnie w zbiorowisku Sphagno recurvi-Eriophoretum angustifolii.
