Continuation of the mycological study of the fire-damaged pine forest in Kampinos National Park in central Poland in 2017 produced interesting new findings. Among the taxa collected, 36 were new to the park, six had not been hitherto reported from Poland (Calycellina araneocincta, Ciliolarina aff. laetifica, Clitocybe metachroides, Galerina cerina f. longicystis, Parasola cuniculorum, Pleonectria pinicola), and the previous status of one taxon (Pleonectria cucurbitula) had been uncertain. Short descriptions based on collected specimens have been prepared for all taxa new to Poland. The current number of taxa of macromycetes identified in Kampinos National Park has reached 1,604.

Opis:
This report presents an assessment of chemical variability in forest ecosystems of three selected national parks in Poland, i.e. Magurski National Park, Świętokrzyski National Park (Holy CrossMts.) andWigierski National Park derived from the calculation of geochemical baselines using a "barbell" cluster and ANOVA design. In addition, results of summary statistics for elemental concentrations and pH in the soil horizons-O (Ol + Ofh), -A and -B (or -E), 1 and 2 year old Pinus sylvestris needles, pine bark and Hypogymnia physodes thalli are given. The variability of elements in soils and plant bioindicators of Wigierski National Park is primarily governed by underlying glacial sediments and to a lesser extent by anthropogenic factors; the two remaining parks reveal a more distinct anthropogenic imprint. The most interesting of all the parks examined is Wigierski National Park because this area has experienced low levels of air pollution compared to other parts of Poland.

Strong and long-lasting human activity in most European lowland river valleys results in narrowing the area of inudated ecosystems from wide floodplains to the space between embankments. This concerns especially regulation and drainage works, as well as hydrotechnical infrastructure construciton. The Warta Mouth National Park is a suitable region for inudated habitats research – over 5000 hectars of flood reservoir gathers here excess of water every year. It is one of the biggest flooded area in this part of Europe. The aim of this study was the analysis of flora changes over the dozen of years. The two inudated surfaces, different in respect of land use, were compared. Results indicate significant influence of land use on flora composition.

Ecological information concerning 292 fungal taxa is reported as a result of two surverys in the Biebrza National Park. Most data presented come from the 5-day all-fungi inventory of the Polish Mycological Society in 2013, and 47 species were recorded during studies in the Biele Suchowolskie fen in 2008/2009. In total, 27 species of zygomycetes, 232 ascomycetes (including anamorphs) and 27 basidiomycetes (mainly Pucciniales). Additionaly some representatives of fungi-like organisms from Stramenopiles (4 species) and Dictyostelia (2) were identified. Fungal groups included were the same as in the previous survey in 2012: 190 taxa associated with plants, 15 with animals, 8 with fungi and 71 isolated from soil, plant debris and animal excrements. The most numerous were anamorphic ascomycetes (159 species). Nineteen species have not been previously known from Poland and 31 species are rare (1–3 localities). For the Biebrza National Park 197 species (67.5%) are new.

Opis:
The aitn of the research was to evaluate the influence of the metallurgy-sulphur railroad (LHS) on some soil properties of the Roztoczański National Park. Special attention was paid to sulphur risks, due to sulphur transport that way, although in smaller quantities as compared to the previous decade. The study Was based on the analysis of basic properties of selected soils and content of total and sulphate sulphur in soif samples taken in 2 cross-section profiles, located 400 and 900 m from the border of the Park and 50, 100, and 150 m from the rails; from 3 levels of forest soils; litter, 0-10 cm, and 30-40 em. Pedological survey indicated that within the study area predominated light soils. They are derived from river sands (mainly gley, gley-podzolic, podzolic soils, and black earth), and contain low amounts of the fine fraction. It was found that the line, which runs across the protected areas of the national park, does not exert nowadays a direct negative influence on the investigated soil properties (C-organic, reaction, mobile aluminium). The amount of total and /sulphate sulphur reniainjjon the level characteristic for such soil types in natural environment. No decrease in the content of both forms of sulphur was found along with the distance of sampling points from the LHS rails.

New distribution data for 171 bryophyte taxa in the Roztocze National Park are provided. Among them there are 43 species protected by law in Poland, including 20 strictly protected species, as well as 13 species threatened in Poland. The research revealed 36 species (5 liverworts and 31 mosses) new for the region. Noteworthy is the occurrence of 19 mountain species and 10 bryophytes thought to be relicts of old-growth forests what confirms the specificity of nature of the Roztocze region. The most valuable and interesting finds are: mosses Campylophyllopsis sommerfeltii (Myrin) Ochyra, Dicranum viride (Sull. & Lesq.) Lindb., Buxbaumia viridis (Moug. ex Lam. & DC.) Brid. ex Moug. & Nestl. as well as liverworts Calypogeia suecica (Arnell et J. Perss.) Müll. Frib. and Cephalozia catenulata (Huebener) Lindb. A brief characterisations of these species are presented.

Opis:
Plant diaspore dispersal is a fundamental process affecting the development of forest vegetation and its natural regeneration, especially with regard to typical woodland species, which spread slowly and form short-term soil seed banks. Most of these species have poor seed dispersal mechanisms, which is the major cause of their very slow expansion. The following questions were asked: (i) is there a relationship between the age of a woodland and the presence of forest vascular plant species representing different seed dispersal types; (ii) how do the proportions change between species representing different seed dispersal types in relation to the age of woodland; (iii) what factors determine the presence of species representing a given seed dispersal type; (iv) which factors affect the presence and which ones influence the abundance of selected woodland species? A multiple regression models were developed based on data obtained from 144 woodland patches designated for the study. A probit regression analysis was performed for selected species exhibiting various seed dispersal models. Woodland plants of all seed dispersal types show a significant relationship with the age of woodland, starting from the strongest linkage: anemochores, myrmecochores, endozoochores, epizoochores, barochores, autochores. As the woodland ages, the proportion of forest myrmecochores and anemochores grows, whilst the proportion of autochores, epizoochores and endozoochores shrinks. Results obtained indicate that the direct proximity of ancient woodland has a major effect on the occurrence of more poorly dispersing plants in recent woodlands, such as myrmecochores and heavy anemochores.
