- Using of rhododendron leaf baits, Phytophthora cambivora, P. citrophthora, P. megasperma, P. plurivora and P. lacustris were detected from 4 rivers running through forests as well as in forest water pond. P. plurivora was the most often detected species from all water sources. The genera was detected all over the year with different population densities in relation to month and water source. Isolates of 4 Phytophthora species colonized roots, stem parts and leaves of tested plants. It points them as a potential pathogens for forest and landscape plants.
