W artykule przedstawiono problem doświadczalnego wyznaczania wartości najważniejszych parametrów metrologicznych akcelerometrów MEMS (Microelektromechanical Systems). Zaprezentowano odpowiednie stanowisko badawcze. Omówiono różne metody wzorcowania akcelerometrów. Zaproponowano dwie oryginalne procedury wzorcowania i podano odpowiadające im wartości niektórych parametrów metrologicznych uzyskanych dla przykładowego akcelerometru MEMS.
In the cases when metrological parameters of a sensor are of high importance, it is necessary to subject it to appropriate experimental studies. Generally, such a situation may take place when: significant metrological parameters of a sensor are not provided or may be overestimated in the related catalogs; a sensor must be calibrated by the user; an improvement of the sensor performance is striven for; significance of interactions between a sensor parameter and some disturbance must be verified; results of aging of a sensor, its durability or stability must be determined. Such cases are reported in [1-4]. While performing experiments described in the paper, two crucial issues were: an appropriate test rig presented in Section 2, and a methodology of performing the experiments discussed in the paper and in [8]. In Section 3 various ways of calibrating MEMS accelerometers are presented, with reference to related works of others, reported in [11-14], and their advantages and disadvantages are briefly discussed. Two original procedures of calibration are proposed. In the summary, the results obtained while calibrating the tested accelerometer according to three different methods are compared, and then a scope of application of each method is indicated. Further results of the considered experiments are reported by the author in the paper constituting a second part of the presented considerations, 'Experimental determination of selected parameters of MEMS accelerometers - results of the experimental studies'. - Źródło:
