Opis:: The paper presents the possibilities of modeling the functioning of photovoltaic modules in MATLAB engineering software packages. In SIMULINK package one implemented a single-mode mathematical model of the photovoltaic module for determining current-voltage characteristics. The model was verified for manufacturer-supplied data and actual measurement results made with the I-V 400 meter. The new capabilities for physical modeling of photovoltaic modules are also available in the SIMSCAPE package. Simulation results obtained from the SIMSCAPE model were also compared with the results of selected measurements under the specified radiation and temperature conditions.

Opis:: W referacie przedstawiono koncepcję oraz sposób realizacji laboratoryjnego modelu odbioru o mocy 150 kVA. Odbiornik zaprojektowano w taki sposób aby umożliwić emulację zmienności mocy dowolnego odbiorcy, jak również pracę transformatora zasilającego takiego odbiorcę. W referacie zaprezentowano też przykładowe wyniki prób eksperymentalnych potwierdzające słuszność przyjętej koncepcji sterowania.
First section of the paper provides concept of laboratory load model basing on 150 kVA power frequency converter and Simulink Real-Time platform. Assumptions, as well as control algorithm structure is presented. Theoretical considerations based on criteria which load types may be simulated using discussed laboratory setup, are described. Implementation details are given in second section of paper. Hardware structure is presented and described. Information about used communication interface, data maintenance and storage solution, as well as used Simulink real-time features are presented. Third section describes performed laboratory tests and their results.

Opis:: In this study, a functional diagram for an automatic sliding mode control system for a three-phase bridge buck current converter was developed. To achieve this, a simulation program was created in MATLAB/Simulink which analyzed the dynamic performance of the developed automatic control system, operating in the active rectifier and network current inverter modes. The results present the mathematical modeling outputs, along with the analyzed control algorithm and the automatic control system of the buck current converter evaluated.

Opis:: A paralyzed and not fully functional part of human body can be supported by the properly designed exoskeleton system with motoric abilities. It can help in rehabilitation, or movement of a disabled/paralyzed limb. Both suitably selected geometry and specialized software are studied applying the MATLAB environment. A finger exoskeleton was the base for MATLAB/Simulink model. Specialized software, such as MATLAB/Simulink give us an opportunity to optimize calculation reaching precise results, which help in next steps of design process. The calculations carried out yield information regarding movement relation between three functionally connected actuators and showed distance and velocity changes during the whole simulation time.

Opis:: An article herein considers the development of a fiber-optic sensor system, based on fiber Bragg gratings. Presently, fiber-optic sensors has become world-widely known amongst sensor technologies, used for monitoring engineering and construction structures. The work is linked with developing the system from fiber-optic sensors on the basis of fiber optic gratings, its characteristics, deformation behavior and temperature, acting at fiber Bragg grating by means of computer modeling. The research is focused at the analysis of characteristics and deformation and temperature behavior of fiber-optic Bragg sensor. Fiber-optic Bragg sensor with tilted grating is used for measuring deformation of the object, the strength of which is changed, dependent on the applied force, as well, for measuring and detecting any temperature deviations, influencing at fiber Bragg grating, which might bring to fire and accidents. In the research, simulation modeling there was made in the MATLAB (Simulink) software.

Opis:: The work contains selected results of the modelling of neural Electric Power Exchange (EPE) in Poland. For modelling EPE system, artificial neural network (ANN) was constructed. ANN was learned and tested using of the next day market data. Generated neural model was used for simulation tests and susceptibility tests. Suitable model was implemented in Simulink. As a result of simulation tests and susceptibility testing a lot of interesting research results were obtained.

Opis:: Artykuł dotyczy problemu automatycznego parkowania pojazdu oraz sterowania wykorzystującego zasady logiki rozmytej. Przedstawiono istotę zagadnienia i zastosowane uproszczenia. Opracowano model symulacyjny w programie MATLAB/Simulink i wizualizację procesu, pozwalające na przeprowadzenie eksperymentów dotyczących parkowania i sterowania rozmytego. Baza reguł sterownika logiki rozmytej została wygenerowana automatycznie na podstawie danych numerycznych w oparciu o algorytm Wang+. Przeprowadzono dodatkowe eksperymenty badające wpływ zmian w strukturze sterownika na jakość parkowania. Na podstawie tego sterownika zaprojektowano stanowisko laboratoryjne, wykorzystując zestaw LEGO Mindstorms.
The article concerns the automatic parking of a vehicle problem and control that uses fuzzy logic rules. It presents the essence of the issue and used simplifications. The simulation in MATLAB/Simulink program and visualization of the process were elaborated, allowing to execute experiments concerning parking and fuzzy control. Rule base of the fuzzy logic controller was automatically generated with numerical data, based on the Wang+ algorithm. Additional experiments were made to check influence of changing controller structure on parking quality. It is designed educational exercise, based on the controller and LEGO Mindstorms set.

The paper presents methodologies of interfacing a standard HDL simulation environment to MATLAB and Simulink environments. Two co-simulation environments are considered for MATLAB and Simulink respectively. There are several factors that must be resolved before smooth and efficient cosimulation is possible. In case of complex circuits performance is extremely important factor. There are considered problems of time synchronization, data conversion and communication between two different simulation environments. As simulator kernels are inaccessible for modification the optimization can only be introduced to linking library.

Opis:: Do identyfikacji Krajowego Systemu Elektroenergetycznego (KSE) wykorzystano podstawy teorii sterowania i systemów oraz teorii identyfikacji rozwoju systemów, co umożliwiło wygenerowanie odpowiednich modeli rozwoju, w tym modeli matematycznych rozwoju w postaci macierzy th oraz równań w przestrzeni stanów (ss). Następnie na tej podstawie opracowano systemowy model rozwoju KSE, który zaimplementowano w Simulink’u, definiując kolejne bloki modelu jako charakterystyki poszczególnych podsystemów KSE, zidentyfikowanych w środowisku MATLAB z wykorzystaniem System Identification Toolboxa oraz transformowanych na postać modeli w przestrzeni stanów za pomocą Control System Toolboxa. W wyniku rozwiązania układu równań zmiennych stanu z wykorzystaniem m-pliku w środowisku MATLAB otrzymano trzy zmienne stanu. Następnie na bazie otrzymanego rozwiązania uzyskano w Simulinku odpowiedzi systemu KSE (zmiennej wyjściowej y₁) na wymuszenia typu: skok jednostkowy 1(θ), impuls Diraca δ(θ) oraz funkcja sin(θ). Wyniki badań zinterpretowano.
To identify the National Power System (NPS) was used basics of control theory and systems theory identification and development of systems, allowing the generation of relevant models of development, including the development of mathematical models in the form of a matrix th and equations in the state space (ss). Then, on this basis, a system model of the development of NPS, which was implemented in Simulink defining successive blocks of the model as the characteristics of each sub-NPS, identified in the MATLAB environment using the System Identification Toolbox, and transformed in the form of models in state space using the Control System Toolbox. As a result of solving the system of equations of state variables using the m- file in the MATLAB environment was obtained three state variables. Then, on the basis of the obtained solution was obtained in Simulink system response NPS (output variable y1) to enforce type: step - 1(θ) , the Dirac impulse δ(θ) and the function sin(θ). The results were interpreted.

Opis:: An analysis of the web application supporting the management of the gym was carried out, which was designed in terms of the theory of control and systems. The obtained results of measurements of input and output quantities of selected subsystems were used to carry out the identification, as a result of which models of web application subsystems were obtained. On the basis of the obtained subsystem models, appropriate models were then designed in Simulink for the purposes of simulation and comparative studies of the behavior of subsystem models in relation to real systems that are web applications, including an appropriate analysis of the web application system model was carried out under the name of the gym on its selected subsystems, including in particular the subsystem called Generating a diet. In addition, testing and simulation studies were carried out to check the correct functioning of the web application management system model and the introduction of appropriate changes to the model was proposed, and the obtained research results were discussed, indicating the high accuracy of the obtained web application models.

Opis:: This paper proposes a novel method for genetic optimi zation of triangular and trapezoidal membership functions of fuzzy systems, for hardware applications such as the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). This method con sists in taking only certain points of the membership func tions, with the purpose of giving more efficiency to the algorithm. The genetic algorithm was tested in a fuzzy con troller to regulate engine speed of a direct current (DC) motor, using the Xilinx System Generator (XSG) toolbox of Matlab, which simulate VHDL (Very High Description Lang uage) code.

Opis:: This paper contains selected results of identification modeling of Polish Electric Power Exchange (EPE). In order to obtain EPE system model it was performed identification based on figures of EPEís Day-Ahead Market. During performing identification process, parametric arx model in System Identification Toolbox environment was utilized. Generated EPE parametric model has been further used for performing simulation tests and realization of susceptibility testing. Suitable models were implemented in Simulink software. As a result of simulation and susceptibility testing, many interesting findings has been delivered.

Opis:: The paper presents possibilities of using fractional calculus in dynamic measurements used in telematic equipment in cars and railway vehicles diagnostic systems. It describes a laboratory measurement system for investigating dynamic properties of accelerometers. Tests are executed in the MATLAB&Simulink programme. Properties of the examined transducers of integral and quasi-fractional-orders are compared. The authors indicate the fractional calculus advantages from the point of view of their dynamics description.

Opis:: The publication consist of two parts. Part 1 contains the results of research on the design, learning and implementation of the Perceptron Artificial Neural Network as a model of neural control of car movement on the racetrack. This part 1 presents the results of studies, including review of the methods used in video racing games from the point of view of the selection of a method that can be used in the own research experiment, selection of the Artificial Neural Network architecture, its teaching method and parameters for the intended research experiment, selection of the data measurement method to be used in ANN training, as well as development design of a car game, its implementation and conducting simulation tests. In designing the game of vehicle traffic on the racetrack, among others, Godot Engine game engine and MATLAB and Simulink programming environment. The numerical data (14 input quantities and two output quantities) for ANN training were prepared with the use of semi-automatic measurement of the race track control points. Part 2 shows i.a. the results of the testing and simulation experiments that confirm the correct functioning of both the game and the model of the neural control system. There were also shown, among others, the possibility of continuing research in the field of increasing the flexibility of the racing game, in particular the flexibility of the vehicle traffic control system through the use of other artificial intelligence methods, such as ant algorithms or evolutionary algorithms.

Opis:: The paper presents selected results of research on modelling a system of the POLISH Power Exchange in the MATLAB and Simulink environment. Modelling capabilities of various toolboxes and Matlab language were presented. Special attention was paid to identification modelling using System Identification Toolbox, neural modelling using Neural Network Toolbox and simulation modelling using Simulink. Research experiments were preformed based on the Day Ahead Market quotations. The obtained models of th type in SIT, an artificial neural network (ANN) in NNT and a block diagram in Simulink were subjected to comparative and sensitivity tests. Final results were interpreted.
