    To the 10 th Assembly of the World Council of Churches in Busan, Republic of Korea (30 October to 8 November 2013) we owe two particularly important doc- uments which are relevant to the problem of ecological crisis and endangered hu- man environment. They are: the convergence text The Church: Towards a Com- mon Vision and Unity Statement. The first one is a result of many years’ work of the Commission Faith and Order. In both documents one can see a profound preoccupation of Christian Churches about the integrity of the whole creation of God. As creation has been misused, Christians are not allowed to remain indiffer- ent to this fact. We truly live today “in the tension between the profoundest hope and the deepest despair”. To this urgent issue the author devotes his reflections in the following points: the divine plan for the universe; our faults concerning the divine gift of life; God wants reconciliation for the whole of creation; continuation of some earlier initia- tives undertaken by the WCC to protect the creation; towards a new sensibility to the fate of the creation; the nature itself teaches us humility. God is the ultimate future of all his creatures. “The New Testament ends with the vision of a new heaven and a new earth, transformed by the grace of God (cf. Rev. 21:1–22:5). This new cosmos is promised for the end of history but is already present in an anticipatory way even now...” (Towards a Common Vision, par. 69).

    Der Artikel knüpft an die Aussage des Dokumentes der Kommission für Glauben und Kirchenverfassung Die Kirche: Auf dem Weg zu einer gemeinsa- men Vision über die Kirche als Zeichen und Dienerin des Heilsplans Gottes für die Welt und den Ausdruck „die Kirche als Sakrament“ an. Im Hinblick auf die ökumenisch relevante Formel für das Verständnis der Kirche fragen die Ver- fasser des Dokumentes, ob es legitime Unterschiede in der Beschreibung der Rolle und der Stellung der Kirche im Heilsgeschehen miteinander vereinbar und gegenseitig annehmbar sind? Die Ausführungen dieses Artikels versuchen auf die obenerwähnte Frage Antwort zu finden, indem sie auf die daraus resultieren- de Problematik eingehen. Die letzte Konvergenzerklärung der Kommission für Glauben und Kirchenverfassung, die echte Grundlage in den vorausgegangen ökumenischen Dialogen und darin erzielten Konsensen findet, fasst diese Pro- blematik in drei Punkten zusammen: die Frage der Einzigartigkeit der „Sakra- mentalität“ der Sakramente, die Nichtbestreitung der Schwäche menschlicher Amtsträger sowie das allgemeine Verständnis der Kirche als eines wirksamen Zeichens der Gegenwart Gottes und seines Wirkens. Die drei Problemfelder bil- den die jeweiligen Abschnitte des Artikels, eingeleitet von kurzer Einführung über konfessionelle Bedingungen in der Anwendung der sakramentalen Katego- rien in der Ekklesiologie.

Ukazuje głównie te tematy, które stanowią o różnicach w podejściu do natury Kościoła i sposobu jego urzeczywistniania się w świecie. Prezentacja pozwala również dostrzec różne elementy wspólnej wrażliwości eklezjalnej. Analiza ta prowadzi do lepszej orientacji w uwarunkowaniach dialogu o naturze Kościoła, pomaga również dostrzec źródła teologicznych inspiracji dla autorów uzgodnienia, którego eklezjologia zostanie przedstawiona w kolejnej publikacji.
    The author of the publication outlines the basic content of ecclesiological reflection in selected four doctrines: Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and Evangelical-Augsburg and Evangelical-Reformed. It mainly shows the topics that differ in the approach to the nature of the Church and the way it is realized in the world. The presentation also allows us to see various elements of the common ecclesial sensitivity. This analysis leads to a better orientation in the conditions of dialogue on the nature of the Church and helps to see the sources of theological inspiration for the authors of the reconciliation, whose ecclesiology will be presented in the next publication.

    Artykuł zarysowuje proces dialogu, który doprowadził do przyjęcia dokumentu Ku wspólnej wizji Kościoła, a następnie syntetycznie omawia jego strukturę. W głównej części następuje analiza zapisów dokumentu, dotyczących podstawowych założeń eklezjologicznych. Odnosi się je do nauki czterech wyznań i szuka odpowiedzi na pytanie o stopień zbieżności stanowisk, jaki uzyskano w dokumencie. Omawiany tekst nie stanowi deklaracji w pełni wspólnej wizji Kościoła, lecz jawi się jako owoc refleksji nad Kościołem, ujętym jako Boży dar oraz komunia z Bogiem i drugim człowiekiem. Tym samym stanowi wezwanie dla chrześcijan do pogłębiania rozumienia Kościoła i odkrywania w nim działania Boga.
    The article outlines the process of dialogue that led to the adoption of the document Towards a common vision of the Church and then synthetically discusses its structure. The main part is the analysis of the document’s records regarding the basic ecclesiological assumptions. They refer to the study of four denominations and seek answers to the question about the degree of convergence of positions captured in the document. The text in question does not constitute a declaration of a fully shared vision of the Church, but it appears as a fruit of reflection on the Church, understood as God’s gift as well as communion with God and another human being. Thus, it is a call for Christians to deepen the understanding of the Church and to discover in her the action of God.

    The unity of the church remains a priority task for all Christians. The Holy Trinity constitutes the inner principle of every ecclesial communion. The relationship between the love of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is a gift and a task for the community of believers. The unity of the church is rooted in the Scriptures. The dialogue board specifically highlights the high priestly prayer of Jesus and the Lord’s Prayer as a biblical base for the ecumenical activity of the church. Early Christian koinonia is an example of unity to which divided Christians should strive. Despite the lack of full communion, the Churches and Christian communities today can grow in spiritual unity through prayer and daily life, becoming witnesses of reconciliation and love in a divided world..
    Jedność Kościoła pozostaje priorytetowym zadaniem dla podzielonych chrześcijan. Wewnętrzną zasadę każdej eklezjalnej komunii stanowi Trójca Święta. Relacja wzajemnej miłości Ojca, Syna i Ducha Świętego jest darem i zadaniem dla wspólnoty wierzących. Jedność Kościoła jest zakorzeniona w Piśmie Świętym. Komisja dialogowa w sposób szczególny akcentuje modlitwę arcykapłańską Chrystusa oraz modlitwę Pańską jako bazę biblijną dla działalności ekumenicznej Kościoła. Wczesnochrześcijańska koinonia jest przykładem jedności, ku której podzieleni chrześcijanie powinni dążyć. Pomimo braku pełnej komunii Kościoły i Wspólnoty chrześcijańskie już dzisiaj mogą wzrastać w duchowej jedności poprzez modlitwę i codzienne życie, stając się świadkami pojednania i miłości w podzielonym świecie.
