    Jewish education is based on normative axiology tarjag micwot which include ethical values and fundamental social norms, including legal values. Historically and contemporary teaching in Judaism is grounded on the values included in 613 commandments of the Jewish moral and legal axiology. The values comprised in commandments of the Judaism were borrowed from the Christian axiology, however some of them were adopted in Islam. Contemporary many values stemming from Jewish commandments appear in non-religion axiology. In order to develop knowledge, skill and competences nthese values are still relevant.

    Opis:
    As the Second World War ended, Jews that survived the Holocaust tried to resurrect Jewish life in Poland, which, at least to some extent, was supposed to resemble the one from before 1939. They aimed to revive Judaism and follow religious teachings in everyday life. The article shows one form of the Jewish life renewal, ie religious education. Religious schools and courses were created primarily so that children, who spent the wartime away from vital tenets of Judaism and traditions of the Jewish people, could grasp what it means to be a religious Jew. The text provides geographical locations of educational establishments active between 1944 and 1950 and details about their functioning.

    Nauczanie o judaizmie we współczesnej  katechezie młodzieży szkół ponadgimnazjalnych spełnia ważną rolę w dialogu chrześcijańsko-żydowskim. Pozwala katechizowanym zauważyć i zrozumieć wspólne korzenie chrześcijan i wyznawców religii Mojżeszowej. Przyczynia się do zmiany sposobu postrzegania mniejszości żydowskiej oraz okazywania szacunku i zrozumienia. Uzupełnia i integruje działania edukacyjne szkoły związane z edukacją o historii i tradycji Żydów. Stąd też nieuzasadnione wydaje się jedynie sporadyczne odwołanie do tej problematyki w dokumentach programowych katechezy młodzieży szkół ponadgimnazjalnych oraz w zgodnych z nimi seriach podręczników krakowskich i poznańskich. Braki te w przyszłości wymagają uzupełnienia. Warte uwagi i znaczące dla dialogu chrześcijańsko-żydowskiego są materiały „Lekcja religii” wydane przez Wydawnictwo „Święty Wojciech” przy współpracy z telewizją „Religia.tv.” W swych podstawowych założeniach mają one spełniać rolę środka dydaktycznego wspomagającego katechetów w przekazywaniu wiedzy o judaizmie oraz w kształtowaniu postawy dialogu i tolerancji. Ich skuteczność edukacyjną należałoby zweryfikować za pomocą badań empirycznych.
    Teaching about Judaism in modern secondary school catechesis plays an important role in the Christian-Jewish dialogue. It helps the catechised to see and to understand the common roots of Christianity and Judaism. It contributes to a change in the way the Jewish minority is perceived and makes people adopt an attitude of respect and understanding towards Jews. It supplements and integrates educational activities of the school associated with Jewish history and tradition. Therefore, it seems unjustified that this subject matter is mentioned sporadically in the programme documents for secondary school catechesis and a series of handbooks published in Poznań and in Kraków. These deficits need to be eliminated. Materials entitled “Lekcja religii [Lesson of religion]” published by Wydawnictwo “Świety Wojciech” in collaboration with the “Religia.tv” television are noteworthy and significant to the Christian-Jewish dialogue. It is assumed that they are to aid religion teachers pass on knowledge on Judaism and to help students to develop an attitude of dialogue and tolerance. Their educational effectiveness should be verified by empirical studies.
    Das Wissen über den Judaismus in der heutigen Katechese für die nachgymnasiale Jugend spielt eine wichtige Rolle im jüdisch-christlichen Dialog. Es hilft, dass die Schüler gemeinsame Wurzeln der Christen und der Anhänger der mosaischen Religion sehen und verstehen. Es trägt auch dazu bei, die Art und Weise, auf welche die jüdische Minderheit gesehen wird, zu verändern und ihr gegenüber Verständnis und Achtung zu zeigen. Es ergänzt und integriert die Erziehungsaktivitäten der Schule, welche mit der Bildung im Bereich der Geschichte und Tradition der Juden zusammenhängen. Daher muss man als ungenügend die nur sporadische Verweisung auf diese Problematik beurteilen in den programmatischen Dokumenten bezüglich der Katechese der nachgymnasialen Jugend sowie in ihnen entsprechenden Lehrbüchern von Krakau und Posen. Diese Mängel müssten in Zukunft beseitigt werden. Bemerkenswert und bedeutend für den jüdisch-christlichen Dialog sind dagegen die vom Verlag "Święty Wojciech" unter der Zusammenarbeit des Senders "Religia.tv" Lehrhilfen unter dem Titel "Religionsunterricht". Nach der Grundabsicht sollen sie ein didaktisches Hilfsmittel sein, das Katecheten bei der Weitergabe des Wissens über den Judaismus sowie der Haltung des Dialogs und der Toleranz unterstützt. Ihre Bildungseffizienz muss jedoch noch mit Hilfe der empirischen Untersuchungen geprüft werden.
