Opis:
While the mystical expression “to see beyond” allows John Paul II to “trace the direction” for the development of a new canonical hermeneutic, apt for assuming the great missionary challenges of the of the third millennium, the normative novelty introduced by him and the methodological direction dealt by him allow his conviction, that the Church is “a house and school of communion”, to become the programmatic force of all the structural reforms initiated by him. This reform of the Church, which is “communio Ecclesiarum”, in its communion and missionary aspects, finds its central core at the level of the relationships between the universal law and the particular law. Or rather, it is precisely the so called “corpus iuris commune” that, thanks to John Paul II’s methodological and hermeneutic direction, can redefine the specific and interactive functions existing between universal canon law and particular canon law: the first must guarantee the unity, without reducing it to uniformity: the second instead should guarantee the plurality, without falling into particularism

The World Youth Day
John Paul II
the youth
Opis:
Many people say that World Youth Day is Pope John Paul II’s best invention. However, he used to say that it was the young people themselves who invented it. The Pope felt that the Church’s concern for the younger generations should be made known. He issued invitation to young people to come to Rome for Palm Sunday. After two gatherings, at the end of 1985 he announced the institution of the World Youth Day that was to be celebrated every year in the dioceses. The diocesan celebrations were soon joined by international gatherings. The author of this article presents World Youth Day as the Church’s Day for youth and with youth. This idea is not an alternative to ordinary youth ministry, often carried out with great sacrifice and self-denial. Indeed it intends actually to consolidate this work by offering new encouragement for commitment, objectives which foster ever greater involvement and participation. By aiming to foster greater fervour in apostolate among young people, the Church desires to make them the protagonists of an apostolate which will spread to the other ages and situations of life in the ambit of new evangelization.

December 8, 2018 in the Warmia Shrine of Our Lady of Gietrzwałd (Poland), Metropolitan of Szczecin Archbishop Andrzej Dzięga said words that became the inspiration for the author of this article to reflect on the issue of Europe, its roots, identity and unity in the current historical context. The subject seems all the more important, the more evident is the evident crisis experienced in Europe, in various areas of its life: cultural, social, religious, and anthropological. This problem was the subject of many reflections of John Paul II to the extent that the pope Pole in a determined way engaged and made great effort to show Europe that the only effective and sure way to renew the continent is to return to its sources, primarily to Christianity. An expression of his concern and activity to remind Europeans of their identity and unity was the establish 1980 of the Saints Cyril and Methodius, co-patrons of Europe. Five years later, in 1985, in his fourth encyclical, John Paul II recalled the figures of these holy evangelizers among the Slav peoples as a model of authentic and proper action for the good of Europe, the restoration of its identity and unity.

Opis:

Opis:
The problem of inculcating solidarity in family members is seminal for the formation of good pro-social attitudes. The Magisterium of the Church and St. John Paul II in particular define solidarity as “being one with the other, rather than one against the other,” the same virtue forms a part of a system of mutually conditioning values and principles that need to correspond with dignity, love, truth, and justice all of which is based on spousal solidarity. This in turn provides the foundation for building solidarity within the family, which consequently leads to the realisation of solidarity in the service of and respect for the sanctity of human life, i.e. towards a civilisation of love, which the Holy Pope also calls the civilisation of life.
Problem wychowania do solidarności w rodzinie stanowi konstytutywny aspekt formowania dobrych postaw prospołecznych. W nauczaniu Kościoła i św. Prowadzi to do realizacji solidarności w służbie i poszanowaniu świętości życia ludzkiego w kierunku cywilizacji miłości, którą święty papież nazywa także cywilizacją życia.
