Their creation was an expression of local intellectual aspirations Jewish community and allowed the graduates of the already existing school universal to continue teaching in general and Judaic program. Despite the difficult conditions in which they operated and the criticism conservative circles, were factors strengthening not only Jewish, but also Polish national and cultural identity. Qualified teaching staff provided students with education in line with the requirements imposed by the Polish state with simultaneous consideration of the Hebrew language and Judaic subjects. This allowed for the revival of the national Hebrew language and encouraging patriotism in relation to Palestine and promoting ethical principles of Judaism among Jewish youth.
