Este artículo se centra en analizar las traducciones del español al judeoespañol en la revista Aki Yerushalayim. En esta publicación sefardí –que comenzó en 1979 y cesó en 2016– se pueden encontrar textos traducidos de diferentes lenguas, pero pongo mi atención solo en los textos traducidos del español por dos razones: por una parte, por ser complicado encontrar traducciones del español en la literatura sefardí –pues la mayoría se hacía del hebreo o del francés–; por otra, porque es interesante describir cómo se traduce a partir de un sistema lingüístico bastante próximo al judeoespañol. Las traducciones difieren dependiendo de los textos traducidos. Por ejemplo, resulta fácil traducir literalmente citas breves, pero hay una gran influencia del traductor en textos más extensos. Además, considerando que Aki Yerushalayim pretendía expandir la cultura sefardí en judeoespañol, es común encontrar adaptaciones que acortaban los textos originales. Así pues, para poder analizar traducciones propiamente dichas y debido al interés por la literatura española –poco común entre los sefardíes–, este artículo está dedicado a describir cómo se traducen dos textos españoles para una sección titulada Flores de otras guertas: un fragmento del Quijote, de Miguel de Cervantes, y un poema de Juan Ramón Jiménez.
This paper is focused on analysing translations from Spanish to Judeo-Spanish in the magazine Aki Yerushalayim. In this in 1979 and ended in 2016– it is possible to find texts translated from different languages, but I put my attention just in texts translated from Spanish for two reasons: on the one hand, it is hard to find translations from Spanish in Judeo-Spanish literature –translations were usually made from Hebrew or French–; on the other hand, it is very interesting to describe how to translate from a linguistic system that is really close to Judeo-Spanish. Translations are different depending on translated texts. For instance, it is easy to translate little quotes literally, but there is a higher influence from translators in longer texts. So that, considering that Aki Yerushalayim wanted to spread Sephardic culture in Judeo-Spanish, it is common to find adaptations that shortened original texts. Therefore, since my aim was to analyse proper translations and due to the interest in Spanish literature –not very common among Sephardim–, this paper is devoted to describe how two Spanish texts were translated in a section called Flores de otras guertas: a fragment from Don Quixote, by Miguel de Cervantes, and a poem by Juan Ramón Jiménez. - Źródło:
