- Changes in silvicultural and phytopathological parameters have been assessed in a 55−year−old pine stand established on post−agricultural land after 30 years from the application of three types of cutting (selective 10%, line every 4 and every 6 row) in this stand. It has been demonstrated that root rot causes changes in number and volume of merchantable timber of trees when protective treatments to stumps using the fungus Phlebiopsis gigantea are not applied during first improvement cuttings.
