Opis:: Jesus’ answer to the question of the disciples about the hierarchy in the kingdom of heaven concerns the issue of fundamental importance for the understanding of their relationship to God. The Lord asserts that the issue more important than hierarchy is the condition for entering this kingdom. The attitude of little children towards their father and their dependence on him should be imitated by the disciples. They are encouraged to have trust in God, their Father, and to experience His paternal love. This way they can also build the proper relationship with their neighbors.

Opis:: Text Mt 28,16-20, který je závěrečnou perikopou Matoušova evangelia a který poskytuje líčení zjevení vzkříšeného Ježíše jedenácti učedníkům na hoře v Galileji, je jeho vyvrcholením, kde jsou všechny hlavní teologické výpovědi tohoto evangelia spojeny dohromady do formy Ježíšovy „závěti“. V Mt 28,16-20 můžeme nalézt nejméně třináct hlavních témat či motivů, které odkazují na předchozí úryvky Matoušova evangelia a které zde dochází svého vrcholu: Galilea, hora, klanění spojené s pochybnostmi, Ježíšovo přiblížení se k učedníkům, prohlášení o obdržení veškeré moci na nebi i na zemi, pověření k získávání za učedníky, příkaz k vydání se na cestu, udílení křtu ve jménu Otce i Syna i Ducha Svatého, učitelská činnost učedníků, zachovávání všech Ježíšových „přikázání/nařízení“, zmínka o všech národech, příslib Ježíšovy přítomnosti, časový údaj „konec věku/světa“. Perikopa Mt 28,16-20, kterou lze považovat za vrchol Matoušova evangelia, shrnuje hlavní teologické výpovědi z předchozích jeho částí a představuje pokyny a záruky pro dobu Církve.
The text of Matthew 28:16-20, which is the final pericope of Matthew’s Gospel, and which provides the account of the appearance of the risen Jesus to the eleven disciples on the mountain in Galilee, is its climax, where all the major theological statements of this Gospel are brought together in the form of Jesus’ “testament.” In Matt 28:16-20 we find at least thirteen major themes or motifs that refer to the previous passages of Matthew’s Gospel and which reach their climax here: Galilee, the mountain, the adoration associated with doubt, Jesus’ approach to the disciples, the declaration of receiving all power in heaven and on earth, the commission to make disciples, the command to set out on a journey, the conferring of baptism in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, the teaching activity of the disciples, the keeping all of Jesus’ “commandments/directives”, the mention of all nations, the promise of Jesus’ presence, the time indication “the end of the age”. The pericope of Matt 28:16-20, which may be regarded as the climax of Matthew’s Gospel, summarizes the main theological statements of the preceding sections, and presents guidelines and safeguards for the time of the Church.
