Opis:
The present work discusses the issue of determining geodetic control network in order to monitor the condition of power lines. The problem was presented using the example of the physical survey of an actual infrastructure – a high voltage power line. Difficult terrain conditions constituted a significant factor for determining an appropriate measurement method. The measurement itself was conducted using two methods, independently of one another: the classical traverse method, and the RTK (Real Time Kinematic) GPS method. The following criteria were assumed for the purpose of the comparison: measurement effectiveness and the accuracy of the calculation result. Basic monitoring procedures of power lines were also presented, implemented based on the measurement network established beforehand.

The work presents the methodology of a measuring system for a tractor working in selected forest nurseries. The measuring system monitors the tractor's position using the GPS and acquires data from installed sensors. Obtained data will make it possible to specify in a precise way the annual use of the tractor and machines, to carry out an analysis of working time, driving style, tractor working speeds and fuel consumption while working with individual machines, skids of tractor drive wheels, tractor engine utilisation level. Obtained data will allow precise determination of machinery operation costs.
W pracy przedstawiono metodykę systemu pomiarowego ciągnika zainstalowanego w wybranych szkółkach leśnych. System pomiarowy monitoruje położenie ciągnika przy pomocy GPS oraz zbiera dane z zamontowanych czujników. Dzięki uzyskanym danym będzie możliwe dokładne określenie: wykorzystania rocznego ciągnika i maszyn, będzie możliwa analiza czasu pracy, sposobu jazdy, stosowanych prędkości roboczych zużycia paliwa przez ciągnik przy pracy z poszczególnymi maszynami, poślizgów kół napędowych ciągnika, stopień wykorzystania silnika ciągnika. Otrzymane dane pozwolą na dokładne określenie kosztów pracy maszyn.

W związku z dynamicznym rozwojem stacji permanentnych GNSS na terenie Polski wraca problem kontroli pracy stacji oraz realizacji sytemu ETRS'89. Od kilku lat są w obiegu współrzędne stacji permanentnych GNSS, których źródło pochodzenia nie jest znane. Jedną z możliwości rozwiązania tego problemu jest koncepcja monitorowania stacji permanentnych zgodnie ze standardami EPN. Referat zawiera koncepcję takiego rozwiązania oraz wyniki obliczeń, które wykonano w 2006 r. W analizie wyników zostanie przedstawione również porównanie współrzędnych z wynikami uzyskanymi w systemie ASG-PL.
Dynamic development of permanent GNSS stations in Poland restores the problem of supervising the stations' performance and ETRS'89 system realization. Although the permanent GNSS stations' coordinates have been used for a few years now, their source is unknown. Permanent stations monitoring according to the EPN standards is one of the possibilities to solve the problem. The paper presents a concept of such a solution and the computation results obtained in 2006. The results analysis presents also a comparison of the coordinates with the results from the ASG-PL system.

W Polsce brak sjest systemu monitorowania pojazdów na szczeblu krajowym. Aktualnie dostępne są nowe technologie oraz aplikacje w zakresie ITS. Artykuł wychodzi naprzeciw tym problem i przedstawia propozycje w tym zakresie.
Paper discussed the problem of monitoring of motor vehicles in Poland. Monitoring was ordered on the basis of EU and Polish law. Currently, there is no vehicle monitoring system in Poland at the national level. New technologies and applications in the field of ITS are currently available. The article addresses this problem and presents proposals in this area.

The aim of this study was to assess the maximum velocity achieved by professional soccer players. The study involved 20 professional football players. The analysis of the achieved velocities during the season was based on individual maximum velocity values obtained in a preseason period test using the GPS monitoring device Catapult Vector S7. The study covered 20 match units and 77 training units. A velocity equal to or greater than 100% of the maximum velocity was achieved 24 times - 21 times (accounting for 88%) during a competitive match (MD 0), 1 time (accounting for 4%) two days before (MD-2), and two times (accounting for 8%) three days before (MD-3). A velocity in the range of 90-99% of the maximum velocity was achieved 207 times. The results confirm that football players can achieve values equal to or greater than 100% of their maximum velocities; however, this occurrence is rare. Due to the low probability of high maximum velocity values during a training microcycle, it is recommended to incorporate specific training methods that allow for achieving high maximum velocities to reduce the risk of hamstring muscle injuries among players, especially among reserve players (who rarely participate in competitive matches).

W opracowaniu przedstawiono ocenę satelitarnego systemu monitorowania parametrów eksploatacyjnych pracy pojazdów oraz wykorzystania jego możliwości do wspomagania procesu zarządzania i poprawy funkcjonowania gospodarstwa. Przeprowadzono również ocenę porównawczą raportów zarejestrowanych przez system monitoringu GPS z wykazem kart pracowniczych oraz faktur.
The study presents the evaluation of a satellite system for monitoring operating parameters of vehicles and using its potential to support farm management process and improvement in functioning. Moreover, the researchers have completed comparative analysis of reports registered by GPS monitoring system with a list of work records and invoices.

Od wielu lat informacje o położeniu ruchomych obiektów transportowych (pojazdy samochodowe lokomotywy pociągów) są monitorowane na bazie systemu pozycjonowania GPS i zwrotnej transmisji informacji do centrum sterowania poprzez system GSM/GPRS. Autorzy chcieli zwrócić uwagę na zagrożenia tego typu monitoringu (związane z czynami przestępczymi lub terrorystycznymi) oraz zaproponować istotną poprawę bezpieczeństwa przesyłania i przetwarzania takich informacji poprzez odpowiednie zabezpieczenia kryptograficzne wprowadzone poprzez normy UE w bezpiecznych aplikacjach automatyki kolejowej.
From several years information about positioning of transport objects (cars and locomotives of trains) are monitoring using standard positioning system GPS and GSM/GPRS system for feedback transmission for dispatcher centre. The authors deals with existing threats and attacks for monitored information and proposition for increasing the transmitted and processed information using appropriate cryptographic methods actually used in railway signaling systems.

The article outlines the concept of an extension for innovative e-system for managing the lifecycle of documents at different levels of sensitivity, including the function of continuous tracking of consignments from one protected zone to another. The operations of the module are based on the use of RFID tags for the documents. At particular stages of transport, the tags are read to allow automatic identification of the contents of the shipment. The transported documents are secured in special burglar-proof containers. Additionally, the containers are equipped with GPS and GLONASS location modules. The author also described an IT system which allows to monitor, store and analyze the transport route.

The present paper describes field tests conducted on the 300 m tall industrial chimney, located in the power station of Bełchatów (Poland), where the GPS rover receivers were installed at three various levels. The objectives of these GPS tests were to investigate the deformed vertical profile of this chimney, and its dynamic characteristics, i.e. the first natural frequency and the modal damping ratios. The results for the satellite signal receptions, the synopsis of recorded baselines and their ambiguity solutions, drifts of the chimney due to solar radiation and air temperature variations and dynamic wind response characteristics are presented.
W ostatnich piętnastu latach powstała nowa dziedzina monitoringu dużych budowli inżynierskich wykorzystująca technologię GPS. W niniejszej pracy opisano badania przeprowadzone na wysokim, 300-metrowym kominie przemysłowym elektrowni Bełchatów, gdzie odbiorniki GPS umieszczono w trzech różnych poziomach. Według rozeznania autorów jest to pierwszy przypadek takiego użycia techniki GPS do obserwacji wysokiej budowli pod równoczesnym działaniem słabego wiatru oraz zmian temperatury otoczenia i nasłonecznienia. Celem badań było wyznaczenie geometrii odkształconej osi pionowej trzonu komina i jego parametrów dynamicznych, tj. pierwszej częstości drgań własnych i modalnych liczb tłumienia. Opisano warunki odbioru sygnałów satelitarnych systemu GPS, przedstawiono wyniki pomiarów przemieszczeń trzonu wywołanych nasłonecznieniem i wyniki analizy odpowiedzi dynamicznej konstrukcji komina wywołanej działaniem wiatru.

The paper presents study results about determination Wide-Lane Hardware Delays in GPS system. For this purpose GPS data from RYKI reference station were used. Melbourne-Wübbena linear combination were applied for estimation WHD. Computations were executed in SciTEC software, which code source was written in Scilab 5.4.1. Firstly, results from SciTEC software show that WHD are very stable over few days. In this paper 4 experiments are presented. Accuracy of WHD in submitted paper is less than 2 ns. Over few days, magnitude order of mean SWHD is ± 1 ns, what corresponds to 0.3 cycle of wavelength in L6 combination. Difference between maximum and minimum value of SWHD over 6 days is about ± 2.5 ns. RWHD over few days are so very stable, with mean value about 0.154 ns. Standard deviation of daily repeatability RWHD parameter is less than 0.07 ns, what corresponds to 2% of wavelength in L6 combination.

In this paper, the results of an aircraft’s positioning in aviation during two flight tests are presented. The aircraft’s position was established using GPS data with a sample rate of 1 s in both experiments. The raw GPS data were collected by a Topcon Hiper Pro receiver, which was installed in the pilot’s cabin of a Cessna aircraft. The aircraft’s coordinates in the BLh geodetic frame were determined using the single point positioning (SPP) method in gLAB software. The mathematical algorithm for the aircraft’s coordinates are also described in the article. The typical standard deviations for the aircraft’s coordinates were less than 10 m in test I and less than 30 m in test II.

This article fits into the category of a conceptual-discursive article. Its aim is to discuss the application of ‘mixed methods’ in research concerning tourist behaviours, especially in the city. The article consists of a part presenting a set of methods used to study such behaviours and a part discussing the results concerning the application of a proposed research procedure algorithm. The authors take a behavioural approach and propose using a quasi-experimental method combined with techniques of mobility monitoring (GPS), and the qualitative methods used in sociological research. The article presents a discussion concerning ‘mixed methods’, discusses a proposed algorithm of research procedure and presents conclusions following the joint application of these methods.
