    Opis:
    Im Beitrag werden historische Grundzüge von deutschen Komposita und deren Entwicklung vom Althochdeutschen bis zu den heutigen Zeiten präsentiert. Eine besondere Beachtung verdienen dabei Kompositionstendenzen, die in bestimmten Epochen von Belang waren. Zudem werden Beispiele der Sonderfälle von Determinativkomposita mit kurzen etymologischen Kommentaren besprochen, darunter Hybride Bildungen, Komposita mit dem Bindestrich sowie Komposita mit Eigennamen als Erstglied.
    Artykuł prezentuje w historycznym zarysie rozwój niemieckich złożeń od czasów starowysokoniemieckich do współczesności. Na uwagę zasługują tutaj przede wszystkim tendencje dominujące w poszczególnych epokach, znajdujące swoje odzwierciedlenie w różnych formach złożeń. Ponadto w artykule omówiono przykłady złożeń nietypowych i hybrydycznych, jak np. złożenia tworzone za pomocą myślnika, czy też takie, gdzie jako pierwszy człon pojawia się nazwa własna. Dodatkowo przykłady opatrzono krótkimi informacjami etymologicznymi.
    The article presents historical features of German compoundsand their development from Old High German to the present day. Particular attention should be paid to compositional tendencies, which were of importance in certain epochs. In addition, examples of special cases of determinative compounds with short etymological comments are discussed, including hybrid formations, hyphenated compounds, and compounds consisting of a proper name as their first part.

    Opis:
    Die Sprachpflege ist nicht nur das Anliegen der Sprachwissenschaftler. Die Medien – darunter die auflagenstarken Zeitungen – sind hierfür ein ideales Forum. In dem Artikel wurden mehrere Texte aus Die Welt und Süddeutsche Zeitung der Analyse unterzogen, die den aktuellen Fremdwortfragen (besonders den englischen Entlehnungen) gewidmet sind. Es stellt sich heraus, dass – abgesehen von unterschiedlichen Stellungnahmen – der goldene Mittelweg die Oberhand gewinnt. Außerdem ist es nicht möglich, an verschiedene Sprachschichten, darunter die Fachsprache, nur einen Maßstab zu legen.
    The aim of the paper is to show how linguistic topics, in this case the presence of lexicological issues and infiltration of German loanwords in English (ie. anglicisms and pseudo-anglicisms), is presented to average citizens (ie. non-experts) in the German press. It is very important because it allows the social dialogue, which is later used by linguists to put forward proposals and to contribute to the possible modification of vocabulary through a real impact on the shape of the dictionaries and glossaries. The analysis was conducted on the basis of selected articles of the online editions of newspapers Die Welt and Süddeutsche Zeitung.
    Troska o poprawność języka to zadanie nie tylko dla językoznawców. Media – w tym gazety wielkonakładowe – są do tego idealnym forum. W artykule przedstawiono kilka tekstów poświęconych ciągle aktualnej dyskusji nt. obcych zapożyczeń w języku niemieckim. Wynika z nich, że mimo różnych stanowisk przeważa pogląd tzw. złotego środka. Poza tym nie można stosować jednej miary do różnych odmian języka, w tym języka fachowego.

    In dem Beitrag werden ausgewählte Fremdwörter in historischen Zitaten aus Wirtschaftsartikeln der Jahre 1885–1886 und 1995–1996 präsentiert und analysiert, um zu zeigen, wie sich die Wirtschaftssprache in einer Zeitspanne von 100 Jahren verändert hat. Das ausgehende 19. Jh. und das ausgehende 20. Jh. wurden gewählt, da es in dieser Zeitspanne großen technischen Fortschritt gab, der einen Ausbau und Wandel des Wortschatzes zur Folge hatte. In der Untersuchung soll zum Ausdruck kommen, wie sich die Wirtschaftskommunikation insbesondere auf dem Gebiet des Handels und der Industrie entwickelt hat, welche Wörter von den Umwälzungen unberührt geblieben sind und welche aus dem Gebrauch kamen. Das Augenmerk ist hier auf häufig auftretende Fremdwörter sowie Ausdrücke mit Fremdwörtern gerichtet; das Interesse gilt auch hybriden Zusammensetzungen aus einem nativen und einem nicht nativen Wort. Der Beitrag basiert auf einer vorgenommenen längeren Analyse des Wirtschaftswortschatzes aus dem ausgehenden 19. und 20. Jh., der Wirtschaftsbereiche wie Handel, Industrie, Arbeitsmarkt und Finanzen umfasst. Die Wortschatzbeispiele werden ausschließlich aus der Wirtschaftspresse geschöpft. Diese Untersuchungen wollen sich auch in Beiträge einreihen, die den Fachsprachen gewidmet sind.
    In this paper, selected foreign words are presented and analysed in historical quotations from business articles from 1885-1886 (19th century) and 1995-1996 (20th century) to show how business language has changed over a period of 100 years. The end of the 19th century and the end of the 20th century were thus chosen because there has been a great technical progress during this period, which resulted in an expansion and change of vocabulary. The study aims to show how business communication had developed, especially in the field of trade and industry, which words remained unaffected by the upheavals, and which came out of use. The focus here is on frequently occurring foreign words as well as expressions with foreign words; interest is also directed at hybrid compounds of both native and a non-native words. The article is part of a longer analysis of economic vocabulary from the 19th and 20th centuries, covering economic areas such as trade, industry, the labour market.
