Opis:: The purpose of this article is to present the genesis of the Chechen-Russian conflict, including the genocide of Chechens. The analysis explains how the aggressive actions of the Russian authorities were supposed to deal with “the strongest and most dangerous nation” of the Caucasus, in order to subjugate this region. Russian behaviour proves that their priority over the centuries was not an assimilation of Chechens and the peaceful solution of the conflict, but rather an “imperial” dimension of the strife, or to be exact, the ultimate conquest of the Caucasus, even if it would mean the extermination of the Chechen nation.

Opis:: In this article, the autor shows the level of Azerbaijan’s support for Chechnya and Chechens during the first and second Chechen wars. The author analyzed the body of literature and the body of literature sources, which provided the answer that Azerbaijan’s support for Chechnya and Chechens in the 1990’s was very varied and did not last for long.
Текст показывает, как выглядела помощь Азербайджана для Чечни и Чеченцев во время первой и второй чеченских войн. Автор провёл анализ различных источников. На их основе определено, что поддержка Азербайджана для Чечни и Чеченцев в 90-х годах ХХ века была разной, изменчивой и не очень долгосрочной.

Opis:: The high level of terrorist threat to the security of the Russian Federation, which has been persisting for decades, is a process of many aspects. The conducted internal policy, involvement in armed conflicts in Ukraine and in Syria, the unstable situation in the Caucasus and the undertaken international co-operation have a significant impact on the activation of terrorist groups in Russia. Already in 2012, before the series of attacks in the French Republic, the on-going conflict in the North Caucasus was described as the most brutal in Europe. Since 2007, Russia has started to cope with international terrorism. What is even worse, it has undergone evolution, permanently destabilizing the internal security of the state. The recent attacks have been associated with the emergence of extremist groups from the Middle East, such as Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State, and their cooperation with rebels from the South and North Caucasus. International terrorist groups began their expansion into the whole territory of the Russian Federation, mobilizing the local government to undertake activities counteracting terrorism. Nowadays, the situation is slowly returning to normal, but new threats are still worth noting. The past experience and new threats of attacks urge us to re-analyse the current situation and define the goals of the anti-terrorist actions of the Russian Federation. This is also important in view of the consequences for other countries which are immediate neighbours of Russia, including possible terrorist consequences for Poland.
Высокий уровень террористической угрозы для безопасности России, сохраняющийся на протяжении десятилетий, является многоаспектным процессом. Проводимая внутренняя политика, вовлеченность в вооруженные конфликты на Украине и в Сирии, нестабильная ситуация на Кавказе, а также осуществляемое международное сотрудничество оказывают значительное влияние на активизацию террористических группировок в России. Еще в 2012 году, до того как произошла серия терактов во Франции, продолжающийся конфликт на Северном Кавказе был признан жесточайшим на территории Европы. Россия ведет борьбу с международным терроризмом с 2007 года. Хуже всего, что терроризм эволюционировал, на длительное время дестабилизировав внутреннюю государственную безопасность. Недавние атаки были связаны с появлением экстремистских групп на Ближнем Востоке, таких как «Аль-Каида» и «Исламское государство», а также началом их сотрудничества с сепаратистами с Южного и Северного Кавказа. Террористические группы международного характера начали свою экспансию на всей территории Российской Федерации, тем самым мобилизируя к антитеррористическим действиям местное управление. Современная ситуация начинает постепенно нормализироваться, но появляются всё новые угрозы, на которые следует обратить внимание. Полученный ранее опыт, а также очередные угрозы атак склоняют к повторному анализу текущих обстоятельств и определению целей антитеррористических действий Российской Федерации. Это является существенным также с точки зрения последствий для других стран, которые непосредственно граничат с Россией, в том числе возможных последствий террористического характера для Польши.
