Vocational training - Opis:
- This paper discusses the significance of vocational guidance in the process of making vocational choices by students of junior high schools and adults who see the possibility of retraining as an opportunity of getting a job. The significance of activities related to vocational guidance was assessed on the basis of available publications. Legal basis underlying functioning of vocational guidance institutions was analysed and the individual educational stages in the process of vocational orientation were studied. The article presents the results of empirical studies showing low efficiency of guidance institutions, which is mostly evident in the process of making educational decisions by students of junior high schools. The article ends with conclusions that aim to increase the efficiency of activities related to this subject.
