Opis:
An analysis of the influence of the pinning centres dimensions on the critical current and pinning forces of the high temperature oxide superconductors is presented. Individual interaction of the pinning centres with pancake type vortices is considered for the layered structure of the copper-oxide superconductors. The phenomenological model was elaborated in which the change of the system energy has been constructed taking into account the pinning interaction, Lorentz forces, and elastic energy of the vortex lattice. The resistivity criterion has been used for detection of the critical current. Especially important results have been obtained for the range of the pinning centres dimensions smaller than twice the value of the coherence length.

Opis:
The in-plane transport of strongly underdoped La$\text{}_{2-x}$Sr$\text{}_{x}$CuO$\text{}_{4}$ films was examined in the magnetic fields up to 14 T and in temperatures down to 1.6 K. While at high temperatures the samples display metallic-like resistivity, the low-T transport is governed by variable-range-hopping mechanism. Careful analysis shows that the temperature dependence of pre-exponential factor in Mott's variable-range-hopping law may not be neglected and that the density of states at the Fermi level can be effectively expressed as g(E-E$\text{}_{F}$)=N$\text{}_{0}$ (E-E$\text{}_{F}$)$\text{}^{p}$, with a small exponent p of the order of 0.1. In the magnetic field parallel to CuO$\text{}_{2}$ planes one of the variable-range-hopping parameter,ρ$\text{}_{0}$, increases by about 20-25%, while the other one, T$\text{}_{0}$, decreases by about 10-15%, resulting in the decrease in total resistivity. This effect may be related to the decrease of the tunneling barrier between different antiferromagnetic clusters in the presence of magnetic field.

Opis:
The c-axis orientation YBa₂Cu₃O_δ thin film was prepared directly on MgO substrate by the pulse laser deposition. The thickness of the film is 170 nm. The superconducting critical temperature is T_{c50%}=87.5 K and the width of superconducting transition is ΔT = 1.8 K. The temperature dependences of magnetoresistance were measured up to 90 kOe. The widths of the transition to the superconducting state versus applied magnetic field were derived and they were fitted using the formula: Δ T=CH^m +Δ T₀. The irreversibility fields as a function of temperature were obtained and fitted by the de Almeida and Thouless-like equation: H_{irr}=H_{irr0}(1-T/T_{c0})^n. The irreversibility field at the liquid nitrogen temperature was calculated and it is H_{irr}=43.8 kOe when the applied magnetic field is parallel to the c-axis.
