    Opis:
    The source for research in this article are adaptations of dogmatic and moralizing texts printed in Basilians typography in 18th century. Examined texts have Polish, Latin and Orthodox Church language origin. Their role in shaping the Ukrainian literary language and style typical of Ukrainian religious literature was studied. Analyses of their influence on the formation of recipients, and in this context the process of shaping the identity of the Uniates, shows Eastern and Western influences.

    W artykule analizowane są polonizmy w języku ukraińskim XVIII w. Źródłem do badań są wydane w 1794 r. w Poczajowie Nauki parafialne..., ponieważ zgodnie z założeniem ich autora (Juliana Dobryłowskiego), są one pisane „prostą mową”, będącą zarazem zalążkiem współczesnego języka ukraińskiego. Wpływy polszczyzny są widoczne na wszystkich poziomach języka. Ponieważ jednak zarówno w fonetyce, jak i morfologii nie mają one charakteru systemowego (ujawniają się głównie w zapożyczeniach leksykalnych), szczególną uwagę poświęcono analizie leksyki tego języka. Zastosowana w badaniu metoda (wybór zwrotów tłumaczonych za pomocą spójnika чили) pozwala potwierdzić obserwacje, dotyczące języka XVII-wiecznych Rusinów, dla których język polski był bardziej zrozumiały od cerkiewnosłowiańskiego. Analiza wykazała również, że wpływ polszczyzny na język staroukraiński był kontynuowany w późniejszym okresie. Ponadto, jego skutki były trwałe, co znajduje odzwierciedlenie we współczesnym języku ukraińskim. Dlatego właśnie podjęta w artykule analiza polonizmów w tekście Nauk... z 1794 r., może być dopełnieniem ogólnego obrazu języka ukraińskiego XVIII w.
    This article applies to Polish language features in “prosta mova” (understood as spoken and written Ukrainian language in 18th century). The subject of the study is a relic of Ruthenian literature titled Nauki Parochialnija… edited in Pochajov Lavra in 1794. According to the author’s (Julian Dobrylovski) assumption, language of the piece, close to simple – spoken language was supposed to be understandable for believers of Greek Catholic Church. Nauki... are written in the language close to simple, spoken one. Thanks to this Nauki... is the remarkable material for the analysis of factual state of language in the century it was created in. The influence of Polish language is visible in phonetics, morphology as well as in lexical level. Since, however, both in phonetics and morphology, they are not systemic (mainly manifest themselves in lexical borrowings), particular attention was paid to the analysis of the language vocabulary. Method used in the study (selection of translated phrases with conjuction чили) allows to confirm the observations on the language of the seventeenth-century Russians, for whom the Polish language was more understandable than “slavic”. The analysis also showed that the influence of the Polish language which has characterized the old Ukrainian language, was continued thereafter. What’s more, its effects are permanent and this is reflected in the modern Ukrainian language. The presence of Polish layer in Nauki... can be explained by the orientation of Dobrylowski on the language of the dominated in the region culture and the influence of Polish language on Ukrainian and Belorussian languages from ancient times. The analysis of Nauki... language has a capital meaning in the studies of literature Ukrainian language development. It fulfills already existing notices and language description of the period of their creations with the religious, pulpit literature work.

    This article analyzes fragments of texts written in the prosta mova found in trebnyks printed by the Basilians. These fragments testify to the presence of the prosta mova in the church. They also confirm the opinions concerning the faint understanding of the Church Slavonic language by ordinary followers. In order for the faithful to able to consciously participate in various sacraments, the texts contained in the trebnyks were adapted to local language reality. The Basilian trebnyks that are subject to analysis in this article (except for the one printed in Supraśl) are very similar to the Orthodox Trebnyk by P. Mohyla, referred to here as relevant to the context of the problem. The fact that the Basilians followed Mohyla’s pattern so eagerly contradicts the emerging theories that the Basilian Order was engaged solely in the Polonisation activities.
