    Opis:
    To consider the optimization of the supply chain, a company operating in the cosmetics and hygiene industry was selected. It is a typical production company with foreign capital, working on entrusted material which entirely belongs to the parent company. The company management, purchasing and sales department are located at the parent company, the Polish branch is entrusted only with production and direct distribution of finished goods. The purpose of the work is to present the applied logistic solutions, characterize and analyse the existing supply chain and to propose actions to optimize currently used methods.

    Opis:
    The issue of transportation is a particular type of mathematical programming that facilitates searching for and determining an optimal distribution network, considering the set of suppliers and recipients. This paper uses a numerical example to present a solution to a transport problem utilizing classical computation methods, i.e., the northwest corner, the least cost in a matrix, and the VAM approximation method. The objective of the paper was to develop tools in the form of algorithms that would then be implemented in three various computing environments (R, GNU Octave, and Matlab) that allow us to optimize transport costs within an assumed supply network. The model involved determining decision variables and indicating limiting conditions. Furthermore, the authors interpreted and visualized the obtained results. The implementation of the proposed solution enables users to determine an optimal transport plan for individually defined criteria.

    W artykule przedstawiono implementację autorskiego modelu optymalizacji kosztów w łańcuchu dostaw. Model został sformułowany w postaci zagadnienia programowania liniowego całkowitoliczbowego z funkcją celu określającą koszty dystrybutora, producenta oraz transportu. Implementacji dokonano w środowisku pakietu optymalizacji LINGO firmy LINDO Systems Inc. Po dokonaniu implementacji zostały przeprowadzone eksperymenty obliczeniowe dla przykładowych zbiorów danych.
    The paper presents the implementation of the supply chain cost optimization model. The model was formulated as a linear integer programming problem with objective function specifies the cost of distribution, manufacturing and transportation. Implementation took place in an environment optimization package "LINGO". After the implementation the computational experiments were carried out for sample data sets.

    W artykule przedstawiono autorski model optymalizacji łańcucha dostaw z punktu widzenia operatora logistycznego. Model został sformułowany w postaci zagadnienia programowania liniowego całkowitoliczbowego z funkcją celu określającą koszty dystrybutora, producenta oraz transportu. Przeprowadzono szczegółową dyskusję modelu z omówieniem ograniczeń, parametrów i zmiennych decyzyjnych. Dodatkowo w artykule zaprezentowano aktualny stan outsourcingu usług logistycznych.
    The article presents the author’s model of supply chain optimization in terms of logistics operator. The model was formulated as an integer linear programming problem with objective function specifies the cost of a distributor, manufacturer, and transportation. A detailed discussion of the discussion of model constraints, parameters and decision variables. In addition, the article presents the current state of logistics outsourcing.

    Opis:
    Purpose: This publication focuses on issues related to logistics management. The aim of this publication is to show the possibility of creating a logistics center within logistic networks. Design/methodology/approach: This publication uses a conceptual method based on observations, sales forecasts and distance analysis of logistics centers. Findings: The analysis of the collected and presented data as part of the concept of creating a logistics center Lviv-Rzeszów shows that such an action is justified, in particular in economic terms. The study shows that the optimization of processes as part of the implementation of the concept would allow for many benefits for the economy and regional development, as well as for the transport and logistics industry itself. Research Limitation/implication: During the study, there were limitations related to obtaining empirical data. The most important implication of the study is the statement that the planned investment will bring significant benefits to entrepreneurs and other market stakeholders. Originality/Value of paper: The publication showed the possibilities of using the new logistics center Lviv-Rzeszów and its impact regional and business development.

    The article presents the problem of optimizing the supply chain from the perspective of a logistics provider and includes a mathematical model of multilevel cost optimization for a supply chain in the form of MILP (Mixed Integer Linear Programming). The costs of production, transport and distribution were adopted as an optimization criterion. Timing, volume, capacity and mode of transport were also taken into account. The model was implemented in the environment of LINGO ver. 12 package. The implementation details, the basics of LINGO as well as the results of the numerical tests are presented and discussed. The numerical experiments were carried out using sample data to show the possibilities of practical decision support and optimization of the supply chain. In addition, the article presents the current state of logistics outsourcing.

    Opis:
    Points of distribution, sales or service are important elements of the supply chain. These are the final elements which are responsible for proper functioning of the whole cargo distribution process. Proper location of these points in the transport network is essential to ensure the effectiveness and reliability of the supply chain. The location of these points is very important also from the consumers point of view. In this paper developed method of points location was present on the example of urban transport network. The developed approach is based on the Vehicle Routing Problem in the multistage distribution systems. The proposed method uses a genetic algorithm. Article also presents a mathematical model of delivery cost as a criterion function. The article presents an example calculations which illustrating the operation of the developed method.
