Opis:
A new CaCO3-SiO2 composite with core-shell structure was successfully prepared by mechano-chemistry method (MCM). SEM and FTIR indicated that SiO2 particles were homogeneously immobilized on the surface of CaCO3. The well dispersion of this CaCO3-SiO2 composite into silicone rubber can not only reduce the usage amount of SiO2, but also improve the mechanical properties of silicone rubber. By the calculation, the theoretical numbers of the SiO2 particles is about 10 times as large as that of CaCO3 particles in the CaCO3-SiO2 composite. Mixing CaCO3-SiO2 composite in silicone rubber can enhance the breaking strength of the silicone rubber about 18% as high as that when mixing the pure SiO2. And the elongation at break is about 14% less than that of adding the pure SiO2 sample.

Opis:
The results of the precipitation of calcium carbonate from a waste post-distillation liquid (DS) and a sodium bicarbonate saturated solution – both from the Solvay method – in the presence of urea are presented. The investigation was carried out at 293 K and 343 K. Reagent dosage times of 1, 5, 10, 20 and 30 min, and urea concentrations of 5, 6 and 10 mol/dm3 were applied. The granulometric composition, the values of bulk and packing densities and the absorptiveness sorption of water and paraffin oil from the obtained calcium carbonate were investigated.

The results of the precipitation of calcium carbonate from waste distillation liquor (DS) from the Solvay method and sodium bicarbonate saturated solution in the presence of urea were presented. The investigation was carried out at 293K. The influence of the time of reagents dosage to the solution of urea on the physicochemical character of obtaining product was studied. The time of reagents dosage: 1, 5, 10, 20, 30 min and the concentration of the urea applied: 0.5, 1, 2 and 4 mol/dm3. The granulometric composition, the values of bulk and packing densities and the absorptiveness sorption of water and paraffin oil of the obtaining calcium carbonate were investigated.

Opis:
A single-factor field experiment was carried out at the Cultivar Evaluation Station in Szczecin-Dąbie in 2008-2010. In the experiment, the compost produced with municipal sewage sludge by the GWDA method was used and high-calcium brown coal ash at a dose corresponding. A test plant was Virginia fanpetals (Sida hermaphodrita Rusby). The obtained results show that Virginia fanpetals biomass contained on average the most nitrogen (3.72 gźkg-1 d.m.), calcium (6.03 gźkg-1 d.m.) and sulphur (1.24 gźkg-1 d.m.) in 2008, while the most potassium (4.39 gźkg-1 d.m.) in 2010. Significantly more phosphorus, magnesium and sulphur was contained by Virginia fanpetals biomass from the objects where municipal sewage sludge compost had been applied without and with addition of high-calcium brown coal ash when compared to calcium carbonate or high-calcium brown coal ash being introduced into soil at the beginning of study. Differences in average nitrogen, potassium and calcium contents in the test plant biomass from particular fertilisation objects were not significant. The macroelements uptake by Virginia fanpetals biomass depended on the yield size and the content of chemical elements under discussion in it.
