Opis:
The enantioselective resolution of racemic styrene oxide (rac-SO) to (R)-SO by whole cells of a recombinant Escherichia coli expressing epoxide hydrolase (EH) activity in aqueous and biphasic system were studied. Some parameters that may alter this bio-resolution, such as the concentration of recombinant cell, substrate and product were evaluated. The effect of the addition of different additives on the course of rac-SO biotransformation was also investigated. The results showed that the yield and the enantiomeric excess (ee) of (R)-SO were dependent on these variables. When the kinetic resolution was conducted with 350 mM of rac-SO, enantiopure (R)-SO with high (≥99%) ee was obtained with a yield of 38.2% yield at 12.2 h in the presence of 10% (v/v) Tween 80. An isooctane/aqueous system was developed to overcome the adverse factors in the aqueous phase, resulting in an improvement of yield from 38.2% to 42.9%. The results will provide a useful guidance for further application of this enzyme in the biocatalytic production of chiral synthons.

Opis:
The efficient reuse of homogeneous catalyst is important. Cation complex of [Ru(η6 -p-cymene)(PPh3 )(CH3 CN) Cl]PF6  with different ligands was synthesized and characterized by infrared spectroscopy (IR), 1 H-, 13 C- and 31 P-nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1 H-, 1 3C- and 31 P-NMR), element analysis (EA), and high resolution mass spectrometry (HR-MS). The complex was used as a catalyst for the hydrogen transfer reduction of carbonyl for the first time, presenting an excellent catalytic performance of 89%–98% conversion of acetophenone and its derivatives. The catalyst may be efficiently reused by the electro-adsorption of 10 times to one catalyst recovery. The cation [Ru] complex presented advantages of both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts.

Opis:
Micro-encapsulated strawberry fragrance was successfully prepared with wall materials including maltodextrin, sodium octenylsuccinate and gum Arabic. The micro-capsule was added to wallpaper and aromatic wallpaper with strawberry characteristics was obtained. The particle distribution, surface morphology, chemical structure, thermal property and controlled release performance of micro-encapsulated fragrance and aromatic wallpaper were investigated using laser particle size analyzer, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-TR), thermal gravity analysis (TGA) and chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS). The results showed that the average diameter of micro-capsule was 2 μm and the particles mainly distributed in the tissues of wallpaper. The result of TGA showed that the micro-capsule had a good stability. Meanwhile, the aromatic wallpaper had strawberry aroma more than 3 months and took on excellent controlled release performance.
