Opis:: The application of business intelligence methods is usually oriented on a specific type of business. This article is focused on the business intelligence data analysis of a sample loan dataset. There are a lot of well-known methods for analysing loan datasets. The research aim is to find some dependencies in a sample loan dataset which are not visible using techniques like sorting, filtering and pivoting. The following software products are used: Alyuda Neurointelligence and MS Power BI. As a result of the analysis it is proved that the amount of a loan depends mainly on the “born in the region” and “gender” factors. The analysis of the loan dataset in Alyuda Neurointelligence (using Input Importance) shows that the factor “born in the region” is the most important one affecting the amount of a loan. But the input importance shows only the possible strength of the influence of various factors on the amount of the loan and not the direction of their influence. The direction of their influence is found by applying the one-way ANOVA method in PSPP. The analysis of the loan dataset in Power BI shows some interesting dependencies. For debtors born outside the region, the difference in total loan amounts rises to over 4.5 times in favour of men. The average loan amount of debtors who were born outside the region is about 2.5 times greater than the average loan amount of debtors born in the region

Opis:: Projects performed by companies involve a high degree of risks and uncertainty. The essence of the project is a small recurrence and a very high degree of complexity, which makes it impossible to accurately predict all the events and tasks leading up to their final implementation. Continuous improvement actions resulting from drawing conclusions from previously conducted projects is a key condition for the success of the project. It becomes necessary to use IT tools that allow the acquisition, collection and transfer of information and are a foundation for analysis and making right decisions. By using the right tools a company can achieve its objectives in the most effective manner. The paper describes the characteristics of BI tools in application to project activities, as well as the practice of their usage in enterprises.

Opis:: The article presents an approach to evaluate the BI systems applied in the InKoM project. The evaluation method is based on a scorecard framework, oriented towards Decision Support Systems and projects dedicated to the management supporting of small and medium enterprises (SME). To design the method, known existing BI maturity models, usability standards, and scorecard frameworks have been analyzed and adapted to SMEs area. Notably, the scorecard framework was extended to the new evaluation criteria associated with innovative functions created in the InKoM project, especially such as ontologies of economic and financial knowledge, and visual navigation and exploratory interface based on topic maps. The selected elements of the scorecard framework and usage in InKoM of multi-criteria evaluation are illustrated and discussed in this paper.

Opis:: Przedmiotem badania jest wielostronny system pomocy rozwojowej i zachodzące w nim zmiany określane mianem bilateralizacji. Jest to zjawisko rozumiane jako rosnący wpływ dawców bilateralnych na pomoc świadczoną przez międzynarodowe organizacje wielostronne. Celem artykułu jest zbadanie zmian zachodzących w wielostronnym systemie pomocy rozwojowej, a także wskazanie na skutki, jakie mogą mieć one dla dalszego funkcjonowania systemu. W artykule rozwinięty został problem powiększających się zasobów multi-bi jako głównego źródła finansowania pomocy rozwojowej. Z tego powodu zaczęto określać działania pomocowe finansowane z tego rodzaju źródeł jako pomoc multi-bi. Badanie oparte zostało na analizie literatury przedmiotu oraz danych statystycznych z międzynarodowej bazy Creditor Reporting System (CRS OECD). Zastosowano także metodę analizy porównawczej dotyczącą pomocy wielostronnej finansowanej ze źródeł podstawowych i multi- bi. Zbadano działania podejmowane przez dawców pomocy zarówno będących członkami Komitetu Pomocy Rozwojowej OECD (DAC), jak i tych znajdujących się poza nim.
The paper addresses the problem of multilateral aid system which is undergoing substantial changes known as ‘bilateralisation’. This phenomenon is understood as the growing influence of bilateral donors on development assistance provided by international organizations. The aim of the article is to examine changes taking place in the multilateral aid system, as well as to indicate the results that they may have on further functioning of the aid architecture. The paper underlines the problem of growing multi-bi resources as the main basis of financing of development assistance. For this reason, activities financed from this type of sources have started to be defined as multi-bi aid. The study was based on the analysis of the subject literature and statistical data from the OECD Creditor Reporting System (CRS OECD). A comparative analysis method was applied for examining multilateral aid financed from multi-bi and core sources as well as for the exploration of the OECD DAC donors and those entities who are beyond.
