    This chapter consists of two parts: theoretical background and case studies. It aims at presenting children’s fantasies or mental images (be it verbal or iconic) of paidia as a word. The first part is dedicated to the investigations into children’s imagination, stages of its development, and factors that affect it. The other part analyses the works of 51 pupils who were supposed to draw “a paidia” and reads the ways they both concretised it on the pictures and described them.

    The article is a critical discussion of Tomasz Kukołowicz’s book Raperzy kontra filomaci, which is an important voice in the discussion on rap. The publication was devoted to the connections between the creative imagination of contemporary Polish rappers and the artistic activity of Vilnius philomaths. The author in her review focuses mainly on the part devoted to the subculture, the elaboration of which raises the greatest doubts.

    The article attempts to read Wojciech Wencel’s poem Imago mundi, focusing mainly on the process of opening up the Polish literary tradition by the poet (both the classic genre forms and stylization, direct references to the particular authors or symbols common in the Polish literature). Moreover, the author examines the poet’s “forces of imagination,” his characteristic way of depiction, small “obsessions” and the otherness of the analysed poem.

    The theme of the article aims at interpreting the artistic creativity of Lidia Sztwiertnia – the sculptress from Bielsko-Biała – in the context of the philosophy of ‘multiplicity and unity of arts’. Multidimensional character of Sztwiernia’s sculpture has been underlined here along with its variety rooted in many disciplines – literature, philosophy and music – that results in creating a kind of ‘poetic spectacle’ of form and meaning. Commentary to this creativity is indicated here by poetic imagination.

    Artykuł wyrasta z przekonania o analogii zachodzącej pomiędzy symptomatycznym dla tzw. posthumanistyki odchodzeniem od antropocentrycznego modelu refleksji a wypracowywanymi przez różne szkoły duchowości ćwiczeniami mającymi na celu przezwyciężanie egocentrycznej postawy i związanej z nią narcystycznej optyki. Autorka zwraca uwagę na przypadki, w których współcześni humaniści angażują się w artystyczne projekty wykorzystujące metody świadomego oddychania, czy medytacji i analizuje je w świetle wyników badań pokazujących, jak te religijne w swej proweniencji praktyki stymulują doświadczenia auto-transcendencji.
    The article stems from the conviction that there is an analogy between departing from the anthropocentric model of reflection (symptomatic for the so-called posthumanities) and certain practices developed by various schools of spirituality in order to overcome the egocentric viewpoint. The author provides a theoretical framework, which attempts at redefining the notion of imagination in the context of ecocriticism and Malabou’s plasticity. Then she draws attention to cases in which contemporary humanists engage in artistic projects using methods of conscious breathing and meditation. She analyzes those installations in the light of contemporary research on meditation and shows how these postsecular practices stimulate self-transcendent experiences.

    Filozofia życia Anny-Teresy Tymienieckiej to fenomenologiczna wizja samorozwoju ludzkiego ducha zaprezentowana z kosmologicznej perspektywy oraz w formule samoindywidualizacji człowieka w egzystencji i zarazem jego samointerpretacji w życiu. Rozwój ten nie może się zrealizować wyłącznie na kanwie rozumu, w akcie poznawczym podmiotu. Do samointerpretacji człowieka w egzystencji konieczny jest jego akt twórczy wyrażający działanie ludzkiej twórczej wyobraźni. Jest to ta droga samośledzenia ludzkiego umysłu, która jego źródeł upatruje w pierwszych, przedorganicznych procesach tworzenia się wszechświata, ewoluujących w osiąganiu coraz wyższego stopnia złożoności w ożywionych formach przyrody, aż po postać ludzkiej samoświadomości wyrażającej się w akcie twórczym człowieka i w realizacji przez ludzkiego ducha transnaturalnego powołania. Dążenie człowieka do wypełnienia swojego życiowego przeznaczenia dokonuje się w trzech krokach (movements of the soul): intelektualnym, społeczno-moralnym i sakralnym. Ich opis w fenomenologii życia wyłania się z metafizycznej i zarazem egzystencjalistycznej wizji życia człowieka w jedności-ze-wszystkim-co-żyje. Ta wizja, jak się wydaje, stanowi punkt wyjścia zaprezentowanej przez Tymieniecką koncepcji fenomenologii życia i ludzkiej kondycji twórczej. W koncepcji tej najistotniejsze, jak można przypuszczać, jest podążanie sakralną ścieżką logosu życia ku komunii z Boskością (Bogiem, Sacrum, Transcendencją, Nieuwarunkowanym, Wszystkoogarniającym). Na tej ścieżce fenomenologia ludzkiego ducha osiąga pełnię, a fenomenologia – fenomenologię.
    Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka’s philosophy of life of is a phenomenological vision of the self-development of the human spirit presented from a cosmological perspective and in the formula of self-individualization of man in existence and at the same time his self-interpretation in life. This development cannot be realized solely on the basis of reason, through the subject’s cognitive act. For the self-interpretation of man in existence, his creative act is necessary, one which expresses the creative operation of the human imagination. It is this path of the human mind’s self-tracking which sees its sources in the first, pre-organic processes of the formation of the universe. These processes evolved towards the attainment of an ever higher degree of complexity in the living forms of nature, up to the form of human self-awareness expressed in man’s creative act and in the realization by the human spirit of its transnatural vocation. Man’s aspiration to fulfill his life’s destiny takes place in three steps (or “movements of the soul”): intellectual, socio-moral, and sacred. Their description in the phenomenology of life emerges from a metaphysical and at once existentialist vision of human life as being in-unity-with-all-that-lives. We can say that this vision is the starting point of Tymieniecka’s phenomenology of life and of the human creative condition. Arguably, in her theory, the most important thing is to follow the sacred path of life’s logos in order to attain communion with the Divine (God, the Sacred, the Transcendent, the Unconditioned, the All-Encompassing). On this path, the phenomenology of the human spirit attains completion and phenomenology – phenomenology.

    The present text is an effect of considerations devoted to art education of an early-school child focused on stimulating children’s creativity and artistic imagination. The first part of the article presents considerations regarding the issue of artistic imagination and creativity. The second part discusses the concept of designing artistic activities at the level of early school education as a stimulator of imagination and child creativity. The third part of the article is an attempt to present the possibilities of using the techniques of contemporary art as a platform for pedagogical activities.
    Der hier zu präsentierte Text ist Ergebnis der Überlegungen zu der auf Stimulierung kindlicher Kreativität und Kunstphantasie gerichteten Kunstausbildung eines Kindes im frühen Schulalter. Der erste Teil erörtert die mit Kunstphantasie und Kreativität verbundenen Fragen. Im zweiten Teil wird die Idee dargestellt, den Kunstunterricht in früher Schulbildung als ein Stimulus für Phantasie und kindliche Kreativität zu entwickeln. Im dritten Teil ihres Beitrags bemüht sich die Verfasserin zu zeigen, auf welche Art und Weise die von moderner Kunst angebotenen Kunsttechniken im Ausbildungsprozess verwendet werden können.
