    Opis:
    The purpose of the article is to indicate the possible translation difficulties encountered by translators while recreating the corporeality represented in the poetry of Anna Świrszczyńska, considered one of the most renowned Polish poets of the twentieth century. Special attention will be paid to the poetic strategy of the author that deals with personal experiences, and whose purpose is the poetization of life through revealing the qualities of the human body. I propose to conduct a comparative study between the original poems and their Spanish translations, which aims to find out if the logical-semantic structure of the works whose main axis is the perception of corporeality has been reflected in the target texts. In addition, I try to outline in the article the extent to which its aesthetic intentionality can work in the Spanish-speaking poetic context.

    The article concerns the place of corporeality in the poetry of a Maurician francophone poet Umar Timol. One can distinguish four main attitudes towards the human body in Timol’s texts: body as an object of worship or – on the contrary – of disdain and condemnation, body as a humanitarian challenge and as an object of self-reflection. The absence of typically Western dualism of physical versus spiritual in Mauritian poet’s philosophy procures a new and exotic perspective for European readers. The author ponders the purpose and motifs which could stay behind such standpoints mainly by analysing the poems in the context of Mauritian culture and comparing them to other Muslim or Indian texts.

    At the beginning of the twentieth century, many families experienced the death of one or more of their children. As a consequence, some artists undertaken the topic in their works, by employing the figure of dead child. The theme was reflected in poetry, pictures/photographs, paintings, and musical pieces of the time. The Spanish poet Juan Ramón Jiménez also knew the pain caused by the loss of a child. Indeed, his niece, María Pepa, passed away when she was only two years old. This tragic event had prompted the poet to write about the little girl’s death in Historias. This article attempts to analyse the elements of corporeality, or particularly – the corpse, in Juan Ramón Jiménez’s collection of poems called la niña muerta, to see how the poet underscores the figure of dead child and, by describing the dead body, increases the dramatic effect, as a way of keeping the child alive forever in his writings.

    The article is a discussion of the work of Joanna Grądziel-Wójcik: Zmysł formy. Sytuacje, przypadki, interpretacje polskiej poezji XX wieku. The author combines many research perspectives, which results in many revealing insights regarding Polish poetry of the 20th century. They are derived from a careful analysis of poetic statements placed in a wide field of historical, social and metaphysical problems. The author of the review pays particular attention to Joanna Grądziel-Wójcik’s style and to her sensitivity to semantic and figural strategies, whose interpretation leads to surprising historical and literary conclusions.

    Celem artykułu jest analiza motywu cielesności w tomiku poetyckim  młodej autorki Anny Adamowicz Animalia. W tekście stosuję metodologię opracowaną na gruncie zookrytyki, subdyscypliny Animal Studies. Wiersze Adamowicz wyrażają niezgodę na traktowanie nie-ludzkiej cielesności jako gorszej, oraz redukowania jej do bezwartościowego, pasywnego „mięsa”. W swojej twórczości Adamowicz dokonuje destrukcji antropocentrycznej hierarchii oraz pokazuje tragiczne konsekwencje ludzkiej działalności dla całości świata zwierzęcego. Autorka porusza także tematykę nieodwracalnych zmian klimatycznych, które posiadają wpływ na świat zwierząt nie-ludzkich.
    Цель статьи – проанализировать мотив телесности в сборнике стихов Animalia молодого автора Анны Адамович. Прикладная методология, разработанная на основе зоокритики, поддисциплины animal studies, использовалась для выдвижения тезиса о том, что стихи Адамович выражают несогласие с отношением к не-человеческой телесности как к низшему и сведению ее к бесполезному, пассивному «мясу». В статье утверждается, что Адамович в своем творчестве разрушает иерархию видов, действовавшую в мире антропоцентризма, и показывает трагические последствия деятельности человека для всего животного мира. Автор статьи на первый план выдвигает тему климатических изменений, которые затронула Адамович, и которые влияют на мир не-человеческих животных, то есть живых существ, не относящихся к человеческому роду.
    The aim of this article is to analyse the motif of corporeality in the poetic book Animalia by a young Polish poet Anna Adamowicz. The methodology implemented was elaborated based on zoocriticism, a subdiscipline of Animal Studies, and lead to advancing the thesis that Adamowicz’s poems are a voice of dissent against treating nonhuman corporeality as inferior and reducing it to worthless, passive “meat”. In her poetry, Adamowicz shatters the anthropocentric hierarchy of species and shows the tragic consequences of human activity for the entirety of animal world. Another theme worth underscoring and pointing to in her poetry is climate change, the effects of which are particularly acute in the world of non-human animals.

    U članku se na osnovi teksta drame Asje Srnec Todorović Odbrojavanje govori o ključnoj kategoriji tijela i tjelesnosti u suvremenom hrvatskom dramskom pismu i njegovom polsjkom prijevodu Odliczanie. U drami Odbrojavanje pojavljuje se pitanje korijena i biti mržnje s kojom je neizbježivo povezano tijelo kao objekt i subjekt te mržnje. Analiza poljskog prevodilačkog rada prikazuje značajnost iskustva tijela u različitim diskursima koji se ostvaruju u ovoj drami. Identificiranje diskursa je uvjet uspješnog transfera kategorije tijela i tijelesnosti u novi jezični okvir.
    The article discusses the key category of ‘the body and corporeality’ in contemporary Croatian drama and its Polish translation basing on the drama Odbrojavanje (‘The Countdown’) by Asja Srnec Todorović. Odbrojavanje concerns itself with the issue of the sources and the essence of violence, to which the body, as the subject and the object of violence, is connected. Analysis of the Polish translation of the drama allows one to realize how does the ‘experience of the body’ function in different linguistic discourses realized in the text. Discourse identification is inevitable for the categories of the body and corporality to be successfully transferred into the new linguistic space.
