Opis:
This article presents the outcomes of a comparative analysis of specific open educational resources (OER) in the context of significant developments after the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly within the Anglo-Saxon context. The aftermath of the pandemic witnessed the significant role of universities in managing new open libraries providing free educational materials to students and the public. The evaluation focused on OER for pedagogical disciplines, a key area for students training to be teachers or novice educators. The authors developed assessment criteria based on existing literature, including the year of publication, length, structure, purpose, type of links, supplementary materials, learning activities, and the incorporation of digital elements within the EST&LDE concept proposed by Kolář, Malach, and Vicherková in 2023. Eight e-books were examined, all emphasising connections with other study resources and integrating digital elements in the teaching process.

Opis:
This study introduced the open educational resources (OER) aided learning in a computer aided classroom. The course materials included the OER, composed in English, and a textbook translated into Taiwan’s traditional Chinese. Furthermore, the OER improved students’ conceptual understanding of both language and professional knowledge. Finally, the conceptual color plate analysis was employed to evaluate the related factors among universities, students, and teachers. Based on the statistics of the previous OER studies, it is predictable that OER aided learning may be popular in the future. Besides, the library plays a very important role in life-long learning, and will be crucial in the future because advanced guides and indexing of digital contents and OER can give the self-learner a better tool for life-long learning.

Opis:
The paper discusses a new model of social learning that makes use of open educational resources and flexible forms of learning. It presents the evolution of the process of learning from the Cartesian model, through constructivist, cognitivist and connectivist theories. Open education, being developed in many countries of the world, including South Korea and Poland, is becoming a civilisation requirement, a response to the requirements of dynamically evolving labour market.

Opis:
Fair use allows to certain limited uses of copyrighted work without permission from the author or right holder. As a limitation and exception to the exclusive right of the author of a creative work fair use is permitted for educational purposes in the Polish law and is covered by the Polish copyright law articles. In view of high importance of education fair use for educational purposes seems to be wholly justified. The paper presents the issue of possible use of copyrighted works in teaching process which comes from the Polish Act on Copyright and Related Rights. It analyses whether the provisions are adequate in the face of the development of digital and web-based information technology. Some amendments to the Polish copyright law are proposed. Another issue discussed in the paper is whether and to what extend so-called Open Educational Resources (OER – freely accessible, openly licensed documents and media that are useful for teaching, learning etc.) can present a real alternative to fair use.
