Opis:
One of the important elements of the therapy of young hearing-impaired children is rehabilitation camps. They accelerate the process of language and communication skills acquisition. In the current social-legal and financial situation organisers of rehabilitation camps may encounter some difficulties. The aim of the research was an attempt to determine the role of rehabilitation camps by means of a diagnosis of their effectiveness using parents’ and therapists’ opinions and objective results of progress in the development of hearing, communication and language skills in children. The research demonstrated effectiveness of rehabilitation camps in the scope discussed.

Opis:
In the present study, plastic geoboards and accessories were created as geometry teaching tools for visually-impaired students, using 3D printing. Lines, shapes, and angles were illustrated by stretching rubber bands around rivet heads on a geoboard with square edge of 10 x 10 grid array and circular edge of 4-quadrant graph. The coordinate points of 2D geometry were explored by blind touch on braille scales and raised grid lines, while z-axis pillars were used for 3D geometry by connecting rubber bands to the plane. The experimental group revealed significantly more learning achievement than did the control group, and all participants agreed that the new geoboards enhanced the mental imagery and understanding of geometry.

Opis:
Motor aesthetic experiences relate to every person and are important developmental elements of a person’s life. The way they are perceived depends on the received stimuli and their processing by various senses. Aesthetic experiences which are delivered in this way and subsequently analysed are expressed in an individual, subjective interpretation of the evaluated element. In the case of people with a vision dysfunction it is difficult for them to assess what is aesthetic and what is not. The lack of direct experience and visual assessment of movement creates obstacles during communication of aesthetic movement which are difficult to overcome. Due to these limitations, studies on aesthetics of movement in the blind have not been carried out so far. The aim of our study was to establish what aesthetics of movement is in this group of disabled and how it can be developed. The proposed model of movement communication and its aesthetic evaluation allows for a conscious recognition and performance of aesthetic movement by a person with visual dysfunction.

Opis:
The article contains results of the experimental analysis of cooperation pecu- liarities of young people with different vision levels (blind, visually impaired, with normal vision). Greater focus is placed on the statement that serious vision disorders depending on their kind and grade make the process of verbal and especially non-verbal means of communication mastering much more complicated. It has been established that young people with serious vision disorders have a low level of integration into social groups, are not active enough in communication, avoid close relationships with those who do not have any vision problems. The authors argue in favour of the importance of blind and sighted people’s cooperation activity provision as an obligatory condition for the development of psychologically proper communication and for the formation of social maturity of a personality, regulating its process of social integration.
