Opis:
The article deals with intergenerational learning in the Czech family from three generations perspective. Intergenerational learning means phenomena and processes aiding mutual transfer of knowledge, experiences, and attitudes in the family that take place in specific family life situations, in interactions, and during the shared activities of the participating generations: children, parents, and grandparents. The thesis of pro-learning family culture-the influence of family characteristics such as communication, family climate and cohesion on learning in the family is elaborated on. The thesis of pro-learning family culture is developed further to identify four different models of family learning from intergenerational perspective. A mixed research design was used.

Among the professional public the following question has been discussed quite often: “Why are some individuals able to cope with a stressful situation even if they are subjected to highly stressful conditions during a certain concrete time and why do they come from it even strengthened in contrast to some individuals who are not able to cope with it? What helped these people? Does it deal with certain concrete factors?

Opis:
This paper discusses issues related to the participation in culture of adults with moderate intellectual disabilities. The aim of this paper is to present the findings of a study interpreting and constructing participation in culture by members of this group. I was interested in how such people experience culture and how they interpret it and what significance they attach to its various manifestations. This piece of research was located in the current of constructivist and interpretative studies, which has enabled the application of the biographical method. The research project used four individual, in-depth and partially structured interviews and narrative analysis. The narratives told by the interviewees reveal the subjective sense and meaning imparted by people with intellectual disabilities to their own participation in culture. The narratives have shown the difficult adulthood and the resulting problems of everyday life. The biographies of adults with intellectual disabilities living with their parents show the complexity of adulthood and the resulting attributes. Due to the difficulties of everyday life, the reality constructed by the narrators is filled with regret, anger, disappointment, sadness and longing for normality. Negative emotions do not allow them to develop, to open up to people, to build relations with them. This results in a limited participation of adults with intellectual disabilities in culture in a broad sense of the word.

Opis:
This article focuses the reader’s attention on understanding trust as a research category in the context of the functioning of modern families. This issue is sufficiently represented in research work, especially overall trust as the context of the functioning of modern man in the interpersonal space. However, there is no reference to family ties and their strength, which are shaped by the trust. This article is the result of part of a large research project carried out in 2020 on Polish families. The questionnaire’s questions for the analysis concerned intimate issues such as betrayal or faithfulness. The respondents were also asked about other family members having access to their personal belongings, including mutual assistance or small loans. The article draws the reader’s attention to the issues of interpersonal relations and the importance of the family in the respondents’ minds. The research contains interesting information on the preferences of the research category in shaping family relationships, the strength of family ties and the social roles performed based on these. The data show a change in the functioning of the modern family, especially in the context of its functions and family members’ roles.
