Opis:
The article reports on the socio-educational support provided by local community, parents and school teachers for aboriginal students. The investigation revealed that most aboriginal parents have positive attitudes towards their children’s education. Three main themes identified in this study are: fundamental support, lack of skills and knowledge to provide socio-educational support, and culturally responsive pedagogy. Parents are found to be lacking in skills and knowledge of educational-guidance. It was found that many socio-educational programmes were carried out at the school level. Providing support for parents by taking into account culturally-responsive approaches is recomended.

The paper discusses a new model of social learning that makes use of open educational resources and flexible forms of learning. It presents the evolution of the process of learning from the Cartesian model, through constructivist, cognitivist and connectivist theories. Open education, being developed in many countries of the world, including South Korea and Poland, is becoming a civilisation requirement, a response to the requirements of dynamically evolving labour market.

Opis:
The authors present the results of research carried out in the 2017/2018 academic year among foreign languages teachers at eight higher education institutions. The aim of the study was to find out the connection between the participation activity rate of foreign languages teachers in specially focused network pedagogical communities and the level of professional self-realization through their self-efficacy. We used methods of mathematical statistics, computer data processing and discursive reflextion for drawing logical conclusions from experimental data. 267 foreign languages teachers from Ukrainian universities participated in the first stage of research. During the second stage, 108 selected foreign languages teachers completed a questionnaire for collecting data and evaluating the level of their self-efficacy. Results indicate a significant difference in the professional self-realization levels among the members and non-members of specially focused network communities and confirm the suggested hypothesis.

Opis:
In 2014 the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine forced thousands of people to leave their homes and seek refuge elsewhere. The number of officially registered internally displaced persons (IDPs) has exceeded 1.76 million. More than 300 thousand of them are children. The aim of the paper is to present the results of sociological research “Study of socio-psychological needs of school-age children, displaced from the Anti-Terrorist Operation Zone (ATO)”. Quantitative and qualitative research methods, the survey of parents and teachers who work with IDP children have been applied. Results show IDP children do not have specific needs the satisfaction of which would require a separate intervention. On the contrary, there is a need for maximum integration in the social environment of the host community. The research was conducted within the framework of the project “Integration Through Dialogue”, 2015–2017, with the support of the European Commission.
