The paper is a report on the pilot research on socially maladjusted boys, which led to the development of a questionnaire to test their thinking and designate its factors. The starting point of the proposal is the theory of G. D. Walters and his thesis for the criminal mind. A similar project has not been conducted in Poland so far, it is an innovative test, completely adapted to the circumstances and cultural characteristics of minors in Poland. The article shows the importance of this project for working with minors and the possibility of changes that can be achieved in this way.

Inspired by the prominent effects that experimental methods have achieved in economics, management, and other fields, this paper tries to introduce the experimental methods into the teaching of real estate economics. For investigating the feasibility and the effectiveness of experimental teaching in a real estate course, we designed and conducted an experiment about the real estate bubble. The effectiveness of the experiment was assessed by questionnaires in four aspects: theoretical understanding, perceptual knowledge, study enthusiasm and practical skills. The results indicate that the experimental methods can be used as an effective teaching method for a real estate economics course.

The objective of this research was to find a more effective method for the teaching of history to Chinese students studying in South Korean universities. Questionnaire surveys and interviews were conducted to investigate those students’ level of knowledge and perceptions of Korean history. Then, in history classes, four teaching methods (comparative-historical, audiovisual, history and language, and rote memorization) were applied over two weeks. Before the treatment, Chinese students said that they liked the audiovisual teaching method the most, but after taking the classes, they preferred the teaching method comparing Korean and Chinese histories. Besides the finding that the comparative method was the most popular, the responses also showed that it was the most effective one in teaching history to Chinese students.

To derive a more effective educational method, racial differences among Chinese students in learning Korean culture was invesigated using a survey method. The Han and Joseon racial groups in China were examined. Before the survey, the Han race students (Chinese students except Joseon race students, in this case) preferred a language and culture teaching method (LCTM), whereas the Joseon race students favored an audiovisual teaching method (AVTM). However, after experiencing four different teaching methods – comparative-cultural teaching method (CCTM), AVTM, LCTM, and rote memorization teaching method—for two weeks, the Han race students preferred the AVTM more, whereas the Joseon race students preferred the CCTM. Thus, students from the same country require different education methods.

The history of social work examines the development of social-political theories and practice; they represent an internally differentiated entity which is partitioned based on both content direction and the attitude to the researched problems. The epistemological specifies of the historical research determine the historic heuristics focused on scholarly literature as well as historical sources that use both literary and heuristic source tools. The character of the historical research determines also the use of research methods, such as direct and indirect methods, perspective and retrospective, comparative, historic-demographic, historic statistic and also methods employed in the research into other social sciences. The history of social work fulfills theoretical, formative-educational and pragmatic functions; it has interdisciplinary character and is closely linked to the history of related sciences.

Though it is laborious to examine the culture of the school, researchers have been endeavouring to empirically apprehend it since the 1960’s. A variety of research jobs have been carried out, of various starting points, ways of materialisation, and conclusions. The present text indicates a way of classifying these studies according to the purposes they had been assigned. Though the list of examples is not entirely complete nor is the classification definite, a conclusion is clear and evident: in most cases, the culture of the school is not examined in order to grasp this culture itself. Much more often, the culture of the school is examined as a starting point, a pre-condition, or a tool to explore another object of the researcher’s interest outside the culture itself, such as the quality and evaluation of the school’s overall performance, the quality of the learning process, or the school’s developmental potential.
