Opis:
Dynamic changes characteristic of modern societies, especially those involved heavily in technological transformation create special conditions for adaptation of the network environment to the needs of education. The introduction to this article discusses contexts of the issue as a precondition resulting from the threat of digital divide of teachers. Then, the paper includes considerations on the conditions of the constitution of information literacy as a result of the revision of theory and practice. It proposes a process of examination of teacher information literacy in the digital environment in the perspective of hermeneutic methodology. Conclusions provide the proposal to include research on the development of teacher information literacy in the process of the network society formation.

Opis:
Social media are not only a space for making contacts and strengthening social ties, but also an increasingly important source of information. This fact is very crucial in the context of political communication. On the one hand, social networks have created a new platform of interaction between politicians and citizens,in particular during the electoral campaign, but on the other, due to its structure based on the rapid and direct flow of information, they proved to be an effective tool for spreading false content, so-called fake news and misinformation. This negative trend, most visible during the presidential elections in the United States in 2016, has become an impulse to undertake extensive measures to combat this practice. Among many entities engaging in campaigns against fake news, there were primarily enterprises from the ICT industry, but also governments, media publishers and international organizations. The main aim of the article is to indicate the most important actions taken (by the end of January 2018) in order to fight disinformation on the Internet. The text will also focus on the analysis of this activity in the context of potential danger of increasing control over the flow of information on the Internet and introduction of censorship on a mass scale.

Opis:
The aim of the article is to show the tetrad of educational environments, according to Janusz Morbitzer (Morbitzer, 2014, s. 120), which influence young people who exist dichotomously in the real and virtual world. Living „between” the real and digitized world, the global teenager tries to mark his activity and decision-making. On the one hand, he wants to leave his personalized trace in the offline space and on the other hand, he wants to join a uniform digital online community. The growing so-called „axiological shift” towards the domination of material values, social and civilizational entropy contribute to the fact that educational processes are becoming more and more difficult, sometimes even impossible to implement. Lack of understanding of a specific axiological concept prevents its introception, and therefore practical respect and living in accordance with a given axiological category.
Z jednej strony pragnie zostawić swój spersonalizowany ślad w przestrzeni offline a drugiej strony dołączyć do zuniformizowanej cyfrowej społeczności online.

Opis:
Human rights are “basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled”. Proponents of the concept usually assert that all humans are endowed with certain entitlements merely by reason of being human. Human rights are thus conceived in a universalist and egalitarian fashion. Such entitlements can exist as shared norms of actual human moralities, as justifi ed moral norms or natural rights supported by strong reasons, or as legal rights either at a national level or within international law. However, there is no consensus as to the precise nature of what in particular should or should not be regarded as a human right in any of the preceding senses, and the abstract concept of human rights has been a subject of intense philosophical debate and criticism. As the new millennium emerges, trends in global human rights are changing. Human rights issues are crossing sovereign boundaries and are no longer just issues of the state. As more and more non-governmental organizations are growing, and the Internet expands and facilitates a quicker spread of information, there are more and more people raising concerns about human rights related issues. Some of these come from the increasingly larger and infl uential commercial sector including large, multinational companies, while the others are raised by ordinary people, being parts of different networks. The aim of this article is to examine the way social networks influence and change the methods of raising the awareness concerning human rights on one hand, but, on the other hand, to analyse how new media contribute to deepening global inequalities.

Opis:
The article presents the role a multimedia message plays in social, computer mediated communication. This kind of communication is a dominating one in information civilization, which creates societies of knowledge, information and communication. Information technologies and their product - multimedia (understood as programming tools and multimedia message) raised possibilities of building a new, multimedia form of information transfer which enables to pass on information in a way that is most friendly and useful for a recipient but at the same time it creates a danger of information distortions if the rules of its construction are unknown. Multimedia message is characterized by frequent exchange of a sender (a message creator) role with a recipient (a code reader) role. This is caused by changeability of context and possibility of changing information structure in the process of interaction. Due to this transformation, it is difficult to place a multimedia message within a classic model of information transfer. The study presents the place a multimedia message occupies in the process of social, computer mediated communication. It emphasizes the necessity for shaping new, communicative competences that would allow to communicate effectively both within the network and via it. These new, communicative competences are understanding sent messages and creating own ones in a way that enables their proper interpretation.
