Opis:: The study investigated gender studies and awareness of child rights among in-school adolescents in Osogbo metropolis, Osun state, Nigeria. The study was a descriptive research method. The population for this research work consisted of upper-basic schools and students in Osun State The target population was all students in upper-basic school level 2. in Osogbo metropolis, a multi-stage sampling technique was adopted to select 350 respondents. The questionnaire instrument titled: questionnaire on childs’ rights awareness was used and it was validated by experts in the Department of Social Sciences Education, University of Ilorin, Ilorin Nigeria. The reliability of the instrument was established through the test-retest method. A correlation coefficient of 0.85 was obtained, relevant data were gathered and analyzed with the appropriate statistical tools which include percentage, and a t-test was used at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of this study revealed that the awareness of in-school adolescents on child rights was low. There was a significant difference in the awareness of child’s rights of male and female adolescents in favour of females. It was recommended among others that, there should be more advocacy in publicizing the Nigerian constitution and all its amendments, to make it available to schools and the general public.

Opis:: The article discusses the specificity of the influence of the gender factor on the education of students in the fields of international relations and international regional studies. The topicality of the research results mainly from the contemporary feminization of higher education, as well as the growing professional interest of women in international relations. The research and teaching activity of modern universities is extremely important in the context of the development of the “knowledge society”, for the effective functioning of which it is necessary to actively engage the intellectual capital of both men and women. Therefore, universities should not only become “factories of knowledge”, but also shape the gender culture of students. The problem of the gender characteristics of the scientific and educational community of universities is extremely important. The authors present the topic on the one hand on the basis of contemporary gender studies in the field of international relations, both Russian and Western scientists, and on the other – on the basis of the analysis of specific data on the feminization of study programs in the field of international subjects of Russian universities in the context of the perspectives of building gender parity in practice international relations and world politics.
В данной статье рассмотрены особенности влияния гендерного фактора на обучение студентов по специальности международные отношения и международная регионалистика. Актуальность исследования обусловлена, прежде всего, современной феминизацией университетского образования, а также ростом профессионального интереса женщин к сфере международных отношений. Научная и образовательная деятельность современных университетов является чрезвычайно важной в условиях развития «общества знаний», для эффективного функционирования которого необходимо активно привлекать интеллектуальный капитал, как мужчин, так и женщин. Поэтому университеты должны стать не только «фабриками знаний», но и формировать гендерную культуру студенчества. Проблема гендерных характеристик научной и образовательной среды университетов является крайне значимой. Авторы раскрывают тему, с одной стороны, на основе современных гендерных исследований в области международных отношений, как российских, так и западных ученых, а с другой стороны, на основе анализа конкретных данных о феминизации образовательных программ по международной тематике российских университетов в контексте перспектив выстраивания гендерного паритета в практике международных отношений и мировой политики.

Opis:: This article’s aim is to follow new directions in musicology research, that aspire to be interdisciplinary in character and to focus on cultural, analitical and critical approach to music. Almost entirely unknown to Polish readers, this research, defined as “new” musicology, refers to ethnomusicology and sociology of music’s outputs, and tries to apply some of the methods used in those disciplines to analyze classical Western music. Feminist musicology, on which I focus the most, is a still evolving, very popular in the US and at the same time very wide field of study. It’s analyses, although they are sometimes ideological, are one of the most interesting examples of widening the frames of traditional musicology, that are worth knowing. Not assuming to exhaust the topic, I find it crucial to outline the fields of research for this discipline.

Opis:: In the conditions of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, the issues of equal rights of women and men, prevention and counteraction of any manifestations of discrimination, including on the basis of gender, require a comprehensive approach for their effective solution and consolidation of the efforts of all state and public institutions. Ukraine continues to take decisive steps to overcome this problem, following the Euro- Atlantic and NATO course. Ukraine supports the policy of gender equality aimed at overcoming all forms of discrimination based on gender. Ukraine has embraced gender equality as a fundamental global standard, a cornerstone of democratic societies. The nation is actively working towards attaining authentic and factual equality between women and men, underscoring its commitment to fostering a society where equal opportunities and rights are afforded to individuals of all genders. Evidence of this is the active implementation of international and European legislation and the implementation of its provisions in the practical activities of state bodies and institutions of all levels. In order to overcome gender stereotypes, education is actively developing, the institutional capacities of state bodies and institutions, local self-government bodies are being strengthened. Furthermore, statistical research indicates that women continue to face restricted access to resolutions in armed conflicts, despite their significant contributions to humanitarian efforts. Women remain underrepresented in key sectors like security and defense, particularly at decision-making levels. This includes both military and civilian roles within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police, and international peacekeeping operations, highlighting an ongoing imbalance in gender representation within these critical areas. In view of the above, the issue of gender equality in the security and defense sector of Ukraine, in particular, in the bodies of the National Police, deserves special attention and remains relevant. The responsibility for implementing a cohesive state gender policy within the units of the National Police of Ukraine lies with the Human Rights Office of the General Inspection and Human Rights Department of the National Police of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the Human Rights Office). Despite the considerable volume of the legal framework outlining a diverse range of competences for the Human Rights Office as a subject of administrative and legal relations, it can be confidently stated that there has been no thorough examination of the regulatory and legal aspects governing the activities of the Human Rights Office in the field of implementing the unified state gender policy. This lack of comprehensive study contributes to the presence of numerous gaps in the legislative foundation of the Human Rights Office’s activities. All this actualizes the topic of the corresponding scientific research, testifies to its scientific and practical usefulness, taking into account the recent significant intensification of domestic law-making processes aimed at defining the legal foundations of gender equality and nondiscrimination, the integration of European and international legislation into domestic legislation.

Opis:: Academic literature has extensively studied the relationship between classroom attendance and academic performance in higher education. However, there is a lack of specific studies on higher education in tourism. To address this gap, this study investigates the correlation between class attendance and grades achieved by students in the Tourism Degree programme at the University of Zaragoza. The research incorporates variables of interest such as gender, academic year and course repetition, significantly contributing to the proposed predictive model. The subgroup analysis shows that women and students who do not repeat courses exhibit higher attendance rates and achieve better academic outcomes. Class attendance and course repetition are the most influential factors affecting students’ final grades.
