    The National Insurance Scheme is the main element of the Norwegian ’’welfare state”. The Scheme secures people’s finance when they are sick, disabled, unemployed or old, or when they have no one to support them and are unable to support themselves. The National Insurance Scheme is the most fundamental cornerstone of the structure represented by the ’’welfare state”. The Scheme consists of long-term benefits; pensions and transitional allowances; short-term benefits; daily allowances for the sick, and daily cash benefits for the unemployed and benefits in kind; and expenditure for health care and rehabilitation.

    Alfred Tarski frequently declared that his semantic definition of truth was inspired by Aristotle’s views. The present paper discusses this issue in the context of Marian Wesoły’s criticism of the thesis that there is an affinity between Tarski’s views and those of Aristotle. The article concludes with an inquiry into whether Aristotle’s definition of truthfulness can be identified with the correspondence theory of truth.

    Did Everybody in Gniezno Ice-Skate? Ice Skates from the Settlement Targowisko in Gniezno– on the Means of Their Use in the Middle Ages and Not Only When writing the present article, the question was posed how common the use of ice skates had been in the period of the Middle Ages, confirmed in the literature on the subject by numerous references and information.It has been assumed that the issue is very complex. On the one hand, ice-skating was treated cursorily– any object made of bone whose shape resembled a “boat” must have been an ice-skate – on the other hand, the common use of skates found no confirmation in interdisciplinary studies. Meanwhile, our micro- and macroscopic analyses of the finds originating from the settlement in Gniezno called Targowisko, supported in full the conjecture that, in very wet places, surrounded by water, “ice-skating”, both as a means of transportation and as a form of recreation (!) was a part of everyday life. Moreover, a definite scheme of research has been developed which can be applied to all artefacts designated as ice skates; in all periods of history. Simultaneously, during our research, there arose many new questions which shall be answered, we hope, as a result of further analyses and related considerations. They are very intriguing questions as they concern man.

    In the current article we are examining the presence, importance and significance of weather and seasons in dramatic works of the Belgian writer, Paul Willems. Our study relies upon the methodology of patternsof transitivity proposed by Jean-Pierre Richard. After explaining the principals of our approach, then presenting the corpus of the studied texts and formulating our basic hypothesis concerning the weather, we are reviewing four weather phenomena: the rain, the wind, the snow, and the sun. The completedanalysis confirmed the calming role of the rain, the soothing role of the sun and the warning role of the wind. However, we realized, besides the liberating role of the snow in the introduction, its more complex significance because it “weighs heavily” on the life of the characters.

    This article demonstrates the inadequacy of legal deduction as a method that guarantees the certainty and predictability of law and its outcomes in concrete instances. Inter alia, the Author brings our attention to the far smaller role that the deductive pattern of inference plays in legal thought than one may suppose, since it is rather only a schematic illustration of the decisions that were previously made by recourse to the mental operations of a non-logical nature. In return, he proffers legal analogy as an alternative, by which he understands a mode of thinking which helps the reasoner to take into account a mass of different factors that are traditionally deemed to be relevant for legal thought and decision-making.

    Celem artykułu jest odszukanie powtarzalnych elementów treściowych i formalnych, widocznych na stronach internetowych żeńskich zgromadzeń zakonnych w Polsce. Strony te są formą medialnej autoprezentacji wspólnot zakonnych, służą informacji, a pośrednio – kreacji wizerunku zgromadzeń. Badaniami objęto 93 strony internetowe zgromadzeń, uczestniczących w Konferencji Wyższych Przełożonych Żeńskich Zgromadzeń Zakonnych. Autorka wyodrębnia 4 aspekty przekazu, składające się na schematy autoprezentacji: 1. podstawy identyfikacji wspólnoty, 2. obszary autocharakterystyki, 3. zaproszenie do kontaktu, 4. multimedialność. Jako prawdopodobną przyczynę przewidywalnej struktury analizowanych stron głównych wskazuje się relację między zakładanym zbiorowym nadawcą a niedookreślonym odbiorcą komunikatu internetowego.
    The article aims at finding repetitive content and formal elements visible on the websites of female religious congregations in Poland. These websites are a form of media self-presentation of religious communities, they serve informational purposes and, indirectly, the creation of the image of the congregations. The research covered 93 websites of congregations participating in the Conference of Senior Superiors of Religious Congregations. The author distinguishes 4 aspects of the message that add up to the schemes of self-presentation: 1. basis of identification of the community, 2. areas of self-description, 3. invitation to contact, 4. multimedia. The author indicates a relationship between the presumed collective originator and the undefined recipient of the internet message as a probable cause of the predictable structure of the websites analyzed.

    Opis:
    The aim of this paper was to evaluate the implementation of the Institutional Protection Scheme (IPS) in Poland. First, the idea of the IPSs, their origins and the legal basis underlying their functioning have been presented. Next the IPS model implemented within the Polish cooperative banks sector has been analysed together with a review of the advantages and disadvantages flowing from it. This examination was approached from different points of view, using various criteria. Finally, the author’s assessment of the implementation of the IPS model implemented within the Polish cooperative banks sector has been presented, and certain normative conclusions and recommendations formulated.
    Celem niniejszego artykułu jest usystematyzowanie poglądów na temat zalet i wad systemu ochrony (Institutional Protection Scheme) funkcjonującego w sektorze banków spółdzielczych Polsce. Zalety i wady poddano analizie z różnych punkty widzenia, przed i w trakcie jego wdrażania. W artykule zaprezentowano ideę systemu ochrony oraz genezę jego powstania oraz unormowania prawne, w których został on uregulowany. Następnie przedstawiono (z punktu widzenia różnych kryteriów) przegląd zalet i wad systemu ochrony wdrażanego w Polsce. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy dokonano oceny zalet i wad wdrażanego systemu ochrony, a następnie sformułowano wytyczne normatywne w tym zakresie.

    Celem rozważań jest określenie charakteru prawnego i zakresu ochrony gwarantowanych tradycyjnych specjalności (GTS), a na tym tle próba sformułowania oceny, czy system GTS spełnia wyznaczony mu cel w zakresie wspierania producentów we wprowadzaniu ich produktów na rynek, ochrony tradycyjnych metod produkcji oraz informowania konsumentów o cechach tych produktów stanowiących wartość dodaną. Rozważania wykazały, że brak wyłącznego prawa do używania zarejestrowanej nazwy przez producentów produktów tradycyjnych z określonego obszaru geograficznego powoduje, że system GTS nie zapewnia im przewagi konkurencyjnej, a tym samym nie spełnia swojego celu w zakresie wspierania producentów we wprowadzaniu ich produktów na rynek. Przesądza to też o trudnościach w ochronie tradycyjnych metod produkcji w całej UE. Z kolei dzięki zastrzeżeniu zarejestrowanej nazwy oraz obowiązkowi kontroli urzędowych stosowania nazwy system GTS jest wiarygodny i dostarcza konsumentom rzetelnych (ale nie do końca jasnych) informacji na temat wartości dodanej tradycyjnego produktu.
    The aim of this study was to determine the legal nature and scope of protection of traditional specialities guaranteed (TSGs) and, against this background, to assess whether the TSG scheme fulfils its purpose of supporting producers in marketing their products, protecting traditional production methods and advising consumers on the value-adding characteristics of these products. The results of the study have shown that producers of traditional products from a specific geographical area do not have an exclusive right to use a registered name, as a result of which the TSG scheme does not provide them with a competitive advantage and therefore does not fulfil its objective of supporting them in marketing their products. It also prejudges the difficulty of protecting traditional production methods throughout the EU, whereas, when the registered name is reserved and official controls of the use of the name are mandatory, the TSG scheme is credible and provides consumers with reliable ( albeit not entirely clear) information on the added value of the traditional product.

    W powstałej po kryzysie uchodźczym perspektywie - koniecznej edukacyjnie - społecznej (nie)obcości przywołuję ideę i przebieg przeprowadzonej w II Liceum Ogólnokształcącym w Chojnicach lekcji akademickiej. Na szerszym tle pogromów (i przemocy społecznej) i w węższym kontekście pogromu kieleckiego porównano podczas tej lekcji trzy wiersze: Pieśń o zabiciu Andrzeja Tęczyńskiego [anonim, k. w. XV], należącą do szkolnego kanonu tekstów poetyckich średniowiecza; Pieśń o zabiciu „Nurta Nowego”[„Arkusz” 1996, nr 11] – współczesny żart literacki i środowiskowy, oparty na parafrazie tekstu kanonicznego; Juliana Kornhausera Wiersz o zabiciu doktora Kahane [z cyklu Żydowska piosenka, z tomu Kamyk i cień, 1996] – odnoszący się bezpośrednio tematycznie do pogromu kieleckiego (4 lipca 1946) i będący aluzją literacką do pieśni średniowiecznej. Ramą kompozycyjną tekstu uczyniłam wiersze empatyczne Anny Szumańskiej z 28 lipca 1946 roku (bezpośrednia reakcja na pogrom kielecki) oraz współczesny, „interwencyjny” wiersz Piotra Mitznera pt. Obraz (z tomu Siostra, 2019).
    In a perspective resulted after a refugee crisis – necessary in education – social (un)foreignness, I summon an idea and a course of a academic lesson carried out in II secondary school in Chojnice. On a wider background pogroms (and social violence) and in a narrower context of pogrom in Kielce a three poems were compared during this lesson: Pieśń o zabiciu Andrzeja Tęczyńskiego [anonymous, end of 15th century], which belongs to school canon of medieval poems; Pieśń o zabiciu „Nurta Nowego”[„Arkusz” 1996, nr 11] – current literary and environmental joke which is based on a paraphrase on a canonical text; Julian Kornhauser’s Wiersz o zabiciu doktora Kahane [from the cycle Żydowska piosenka, from the book of poetry Kamyk i cień, 1996] – directly referring to the pogrom in Kielce (4th July, 1946) and being a literary allusion to medieval song. I made the Anna Szumańska’s emphatic  poems from 28th July, 1946 (a direct reaction for the pogrom in Kielce) and a current “interventional” poem by Piotr Mitzner entitled Obraz (from the book of poetry Siostra, 2019) the compositional frame of my article.
