    The category of trust has been considered in numerous philosophical, sociological, psychological, economic, legal, and educational deliberations. The issue of whether trust occurs in or is absent from human relationships has been widely discussed in the social discourse and has been a component of social capital of organisations.This paper reviews interdisciplinary literature to characterise and describe the phenomenon, identifying its dimensions, types, and patterns. It focuses on interpersonal trust as a factor characterising the functioning in organisations, also with reference to educational institutions. The author also identifiestrust in the context of helping relationships in which it is a component of the contractforming process between those who provide and those who use help, of establishing and developing relationships.

    Artykuł pokazuje sposób przedstawiania Zagłady w opowiadaniach Ludwika Heringa. Skupia się na konstrukcji narratora i bohatera, analizując ich stosunek do sytuacji Żydów. W kontekście przywoływanego w tekstach antysemityzmu protagoniści nie tylko się wobec niego dystansują, ale starają się pomóc Żydom. Zdają sobie jednak przy tym sprawę z ograniczonego charakteru tej pomocy, odsłaniają jej realia. Pomagający Polak, sam społecznie wykluczony, ma świadomość siły społecznych reguł, które samą pomoc niszczą.
    The article shows the manner of presenting the Holocaust in Ludwik Hering's stories. It focuses on the construction of the narrator and the protagonist, analyzing their attitude to the situation of Jews.In the context of the anti-Semitism mentioned in the texts, the protagonists not only distance themselves from it, but they try to help the Jews. However, they are also aware of the limited nature of this help for Jews and reveal its realities. A helping Pole, who is socially excluded himself, is aware of the power of social rules which destroy the help itself.

    Instytucje kościelne od początków swego powstania otaczały opieką swoich wiernych, a także tych, którzy zostali skazani na karę pozbawienia wolności. W dawnych wiekach inicjowano pomoc duchową i materialną dla osób, które za wiarę trafi ały do więzień, a także zbierano fundusze do ich wykupu. Duchowny posługujący w więzieniu nie tylko spełniał funkcję spowiednika, ale także był edukatorem osadzonych, ucząc ich czytania, pisania, rachunków i religii. Współcześnie w Polsce i na świecie powstaje coraz więcej organizacji zrzeszających duchownych i świeckich, którzy w sposób kompleksowy zajmują się niesieniem pomocy więźniom, a także byłym więźniom oraz ich rodzinom. Głównym jednak zadaniem duszpasterzy więziennych pozostaje wciąż praca z osadzonymi nad ich życiem duchowym i formowaniem u nich właściwych postaw chrześcijańskich.
    Since the beginning of its establishment, Church institutions have taken the care of their faithful, as well as those who have been sentenced to imprisonment. In the old ages, spiritual and material help was initiated for people who were sent to prison for their faith, and funds were collected for their purchase. In prison, a priest not only fulfi lled the mission of the confessor, but also educated the prisoners, teaching them to read, write, do arithmetic and gave them religious instruction. Nowadays, in Poland and in the world, there are more and more organizations of clergy and lay people who deal in a comprehensive way with helping prisoners, as well as former prisoners and their families. However, the main task of priests is to work with the inmates on their spiritual life and form proper Christian attitudes.

    Artykuł dotyczy działalności Sądu Specjalnego w Częstochowie (Sondergericht Tschenstochau) w latach 1939–1945, tj. jednego z niemieckich sądów specjalnych funkcjonujących na obszarze Generalnego Gubernatorstwa. Podjęcie tego tematu jest uzasadnione brakiem nawet fragmentarycznych ustaleń w tym obszarze. W związku z tym celem badań było poczynienie podstawowych ustaleń: jakiego rodzaju sprawy były rozpatrywane przez Sondergericht, oskarżeni jakiej narodowości przeważali, na jakie kary byli skazywani, czy i w jakich sprawach orzekano karę śmierci, kto kierował pracami Sondergerichtu, jacy sędziowie byli jego członkami i jacy prokuratorzy brali udział w rozprawach przed Sondergerichtem, skąd pochodzili prawnicy zaangażowani w prace Sondergerichtu, czy jego orzeczenia były wzruszane na drodze nadzwyczajnych środków prawnych. Podstawę źródłową rozważań stanowią archiwalia, literatura oraz prasa. Na tej podstawie poczyniono oryginalne, nieznane dotychczas ustalenia dotyczące Sądu Specjalnego w Częstochowie.
    The article concerns the activity of the Special Court in Częstochowa (Sondergericht Tschenstochau) between 1939 and 1945, i.e. one of the German special courts operating in the territory of the General Government. Tackling this topic is justified by a lack of even fragmentary findings in this area. Accordingly, the aim of the research was to make basic findings: what types of cases were dealt with by the Sondergericht; what was the nationality of the majority of the defendants; what sentences were handed out to them; was the death penalty pronounced, and if so, when; who led the work of the Sondergericht, what judges were its members and what prosecutors participated in the hearings at the Sondergericht, where did the lawyers involved in the work of the Sondergericht come from, were its judicial decisions challenged by extraordinary legal measures. Archival materials, literature, and media articles constitute the sources which served as the basis for the deliberations. On this basis, original and hitherto unknown findings concerning the Special Court in Częstochowa were made.

    The paper deals with Italian helping verbs (modal, aspectual, causative verbs) and light verbs which form complex predicates and with the rules that guide its use in Italian descriptive grammars published in Italy between 1953 and 2005. The author shows that those forms in both – traditional and contemporary Italian descriptive grammars are treated at the level of word classes whereas it could be more appropriate to discuss them as clause elements as they form complex predicates. In our opinion this way of describing such verbs is due to the tradition in Italy to focus on a form and not on function of an element. What is more, Italian grammarians tend to omit in Italian descriptive grammars noun predicationand the role of semantic predicate (n pred.). The goal of the paper is to present the advantages of an integrated approach to helping verbs (modal, aspectual, causative verbs) and light verbs in modern Italian. The author emphasizes its importance for contemporary Italian FL syntax teaching.

    Artykuł dotyczy działalności Sądu Specjalnego w Radomiu (Sondergericht Radom) w latach 1939–1945, czyli jednego z niemieckich sądów specjalnych funkcjonujących na terenie Generalnego Gubernatorstwa. Przed laty pisał o tym Andrzej Wrzyszcz. Ponowne podjęcie tego tematu jest uzasadnione dotarciem do nowych źródeł, które pozwalają na rozszerzenie i uzupełnienie dotychczasowych ustaleń. Dotyczą one najważniejszych obszarów działalności sądu specjalnego, takich jak osoba pierwszego prezesa i okoliczności powołania sądu, sylwetki sędziów, zachowane orzecznictwo oraz liczba osób skazanych na karę śmierci. W artykule przedstawiono również wybrane wyroki sądu specjalnego, m.in. za pomoc Żydom, samowolne opuszczenie getta czy znęcanie się niemieckiego urzędnika nad ludnością polską.
    The article concerns the activity of the Special Court in Radom (German: Sondergericht Radom) between 1939 and 1945, i.e. one of German special courts, which functioned on the territories of the General Government. Andrzej Wrzyszcz published an article on this topic years ago. Taking up this topic once again is justified by the fact that new sources were obtained, which makes it possible to extend and supplement the previous findings. The sources pertain to all the most significant areas of the special court's activity, such as the person of the first chairman and the circumstances surrounding the court’s establishment, the profiles of its judges, the preserved judicial decisions as well as the number of people sentenced to death. The paper also presents selected judgments which were passed in the special court, among others, for helping Jews, leaving the ghetto without authorization, or a German official abusing the Polish population.
