Hutsuls as one of the ethnic groups living in the Carpathian mountains have created peculiar culture, distinct from other mountain societies and original in many aspects. The relationships in the so-called typical families were also very characteristic. Dominant role was played by a man. The oldest man in a family was responsible for relationships and rights in the family and for upbringing of children. Men’s amoral behaviour, rooted in tradition, very often contributed to depravity and breakdown of marriages. Men often got married for fortune, were unfaithful to their wives and beat them. Such behaviour was treated in the Hutsul community as a husband’s privilege and duty. The role of a man in the Hutsul family was significant but in many cases negative.

Opis:
Considerations about the role of film in the life of a young person relate to the functions, which he serves with stress being put on the didactic targets that it can serve. As an example, three film productions were presented – two feature films and one documentary (‘Klub Winowajców’, ‘Powiedz prawdę, przecież cię nie biję’, ‘Dziennik.pl’) of which the main characters are young people and are mostly aimed at young people. Those propositions can form a starting point for a discussion with the youth about e.g. itself; the environment in which it lives; relations with others (parents, contemporaries, teachers).

December 12, 2016 a group of eleven first-year students of history organized at the Institute of History of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (Poland) participated in the field work carried out in the church Roman Catholic parish of St. Jacob the Apostle in Toruń. During a visit in the temple the students performed an exercised to draw their attention: generally to the role of the imagination in the practice of the historian’s research and training his own imagination in whole live. First, the authoress described a process of the exercise. Then she briefly pointed to the literature on the role of the imagination. Later she discussed the work that have arisen in the result of the exercise. Next she characterized the thoughts and impressions of students. She also outlinedthe importance of this exercise in a broader context. At the end she summed up the whole article.

The article concentrates on the penultimate work by Andrei Tarkovsky Nostalgia. It attempts at analyzing the nostalgia experienced by the main character as a longing for the Kingdom of Heaven. The interpretation of the artistic world of the film involved the comparative analysis of individual frames. Using this method revealed additional semantic fields and led to defining nostalgia as the possibility of uniting with God and the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven.

The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of postgraduate studies in terms of training professional competences of the legal text translators, which are organized by the University of Warsaw, UNESCO – Chair for Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication of the Jagiellonian University, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the University of Wrocław as well as Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. It includes a comparison of range of education within the above-mentioned studies and determines the usefulness of professional development in the form of the postgraduate studies in the later work experience.

The article refers to anthroponyms of patronymic type found in birth records of St. Adalbert Parish in Poznań dating from the 17th and the 18th centuries. The author analyses grounds on which this category of onyms was created and discusses the repartition of suffixes -ic(z) and -owic(z)/-ewic(z). Attention is also drawn to the transition of anthroponyms with the suffixes in question from the patronymic to the structural surnames category, which was probably associated with the ennoblement of surnames that was observed in that period not only in Poznań alone.

Pursuant to the amendment to the Code of Administrative Procedure, the Act of 7 April 2017 amending the Act – The Code of Administrative Procedure and certain other acts, the settling of a matter quietly has been incorporated into the framework of this Code. The legislator reserved a peculiar procedural regime for cases settled quietly, based on the formula of simplified, de-formalised proceedings, with simul-taneous setting of limits for the rights of the party in the trial. Pursuant to Article 122d § 1 of the Code of Administrative Procedure, the provisions of Articles 10 and 79a of the Code of Administrative Procedure shall not apply to matters settled qui-etly. There is no doubt that the addition to Section II of the Code of Administrative Procedure of Chapter 8a on quiet settlement of matters results in the application of the Code of Administrative Procedure to matters within this scope, including, inter alia, Article 28 of the Code – on the side of proceedings. This means that in matters settled quietly, similarly as in the case of matters settled by an administrative deci-sion, the subjective scope of proceedings is determined by Article 28 of the Code of Administrative Procedure, stating that each party is a party whose legal interest or duty the proceedings relate to, or who demands the authority to act due to its legal interest or duty. At the same time, the reservation made in Art. 122a § 2 of the Code of Administrative Procedure that a case is deemed to have been settled quietly when the party’s claim has been fully accepted does not mean in practice that only homogeneous interests of the party or parties expressed in the claim are involved in the case, and that the legal interests of subjects not filing a claim will not be involved in the case. As a consequence of the above, the fundamental question arises as to what extent the provision of Article 122d(1) of the Code of Administra-tive Procedure interferes with the conventional system of guaranteeing the rights of a party or parties adopted for cases settled in the jurisdiction process. The starting point of the analysis is the identification of the basic standard for determining the procedural position of a party in administrative proceedings, and then confronting with the solutions of the institution of quiet settlement of the matter in the scope different from the standard.

Opis:
Appelatives having an insulting function have been used since the earliest times. Nowadays, they are present in standard language and in substandard types of language (sociolects). The aim of the article is to show that animal-related invectives are more and more frequently usedin order to express negative emotions towards the receiver. In Polish and Ukrainian, the number of animal-related invectives increases but also semantics of the words broaden as the meaning of those words originally referred to the name of a given animal. The lexemes were analyzed and divided into two groups: names of animals that have several meanings, but some of them overlap (pl. baran – ukr. бapaн, pl. cap – ukr. цaп, pl. krowa – ukr. кopoвa) and names that  have completely different meanings in the two languages (pl. wydra – ukr. видpa, pl. larwa – ukr. ляpвa, pl. szakal – ukr. шaкaл).
Aпeлятиви y фyнкцiї знeвaжaння вживaлиcя вжe y cтapoдaвнi чacи. Coгoднi виcтyпaють вoни y стандартних тa субстандартних різновидах дaнoї мови (в зaгaлнoдepжaвнйі мовi тa в coцioлeктax). Метою статті є спроба показати, що дедалі частіше для вираження негативних емоцій стосовно адресата вживають інвективи утворені від назв тварин. B різновидах польської та української мов збільшується не тільки кількість зооінвектив, але відбувається також розширення семантики слів, первинне значення яких пов’язують із назвою тварини. Пpoaнaлiзoвaнi лексеми пoдiляютьcя нa двi гpyпи: нaзви твapин, якi мaють кiлькa знaчeнь, aлe дeякi з ниx пepeкpивaютья (пoл. baran – yкp. бapaн, пoл. cap – yкp. цaп, пoл. krowa – yкp. кopoвa), i нaзви, щo мaють абcoлютнo piзнi знaчeння в oбox мoвax (пoл. wydra – yкp. видpa, пoл. larwa – yкp. ляpвa, пoл. szakal – yкp. шaкaл).

Discourse markers (DMs), represented by words and phrases such as but, you know, moreover, have for many years been a widely discussed topic in linguistics in Poland and abroad. However, no attention has been paid yet to DMs in teaching Polish as a foreign language (PFL). The paper explores this neglected issue by analysing the modes of presentation of DMs in the three most popular series of textbooks for teaching PFL (levels A1-B1). The textbooks were analysed manually to identify DMs and the ways in which they are taught. The results show that the textbooks differ in the number of DMs appearing in them. However, four common problematic aspects of the instruction of DMs in the analysed textbooks were identified: translation of DMs, usage of homographs of DMs, the mechanical nature of exercises and lack of sufficient input

On the basis of results of the contemporary researches realised according to the spirit of critical and emancipatory pedagogics a school appears not only as a very important, valuable environment of development, but unfortunately also as a place that generates different threads. In the article one has tried to show a significance of the mainstream school as an environment of discovering attitudes of one’s own identity by the pupils with a disability at an early school age. Referring to the numerous empirical studies, one has performed a school discourse in order to show up discrimination practises in relation to this group of pupils. A critical analysis is accompanied by an attempt to indicate good practices of the socialising processes realised with regard to this group of persons in the mainstream school. A hope of the positive change is arisen by a Jarome S. Bruner’s postulate to develop and implement a new, cooperative, educational culture of the school in which all subjects are concentrated on the common solving problems and launching a mutual learning process.

The Evangelicals of Bralin had to wait very long for their own place of prayer - until mid 19th century. Initially they could use a schoolroom and later a room in the town hall. It was only in the years 1866-1867 that a church dedicated to St. John the Evangelist, which today, was built in the market square. It was erected as a brick structure, unplastered (Rohbau), in the so-called arcaded style (Rundbogenstil) according to a unique government design created by Berlin architects with the participation of Friedrich August Stiiler. The polychromy of the interior, which has survived till the present day, comes from 1917 and commemorates the jubilee of the church's 50th anniversary as well as the solemnly celebrated 400th anniversary of the Reformation. Pastor Zenon Bessert was the last permanent administrator of the Evangelical parish in Bralin, after 1920 it passed in the care of ministers from Kępno. The church is an exceptional example of well preserved Evangelical buildings that deserves to be placed under the special care of the conservator of historical architecture.

The text presents linguistic image of a feuilletonist and writing a feuilleton in the texts written by Maciej Stuhr in “Zwierciadło” from January 2009 to April 2016. Analyses were conveyed according to the cognitive methodology and lead to the constructing the concept of writing a feuilleton that is combined with the problem of autotematism in the texts of Maciej Stuhr. The linguistic image of a feuilletonist is presented regarding the theory of autobiographism and the sender – reader relationship. The mentioned elements have enabled the authors of this article to read the entire image of a feuilletonist and present basic types of sender – reader relationship that characterizes Maciej Stuhr as a journalist – feuilletonist that is aware of his writing workshop.
