Opis:
The author of this paper is concentrated on a controversial and having not only one and satisfactory for different discussing it parts solution problem of the limits of the phenomena of loneliness and communitiveness. It is placed on a ground of the monoseological discourse as being intrinsic to it. The term ‘monoseology’ is derived from two combined ancient Greek words – ‘monosé’, which means ‘loneliness’, and ‘logos’ – translated as ‘science’. Hence monoseology, in its wider meaning, is used to designate all sciences interested in analyzing and conducting systematic research on loneliness; in a narrower sense the term ‘monoseology’ means simply just the philosophy of loneliness. It is quite commonly agreed that loneliness has only got bad sides in itself but communitiveness on the contrary has got only bright ones. Therefore loneliness deserves on clear and firm criticism while communitiveness is assessed in a univocally positive way. This, in turn, translates to an unquestionable preference to ideas, feelings, motives and acts which are of community character and use. On the other hand, loneliness is recognized as a reason of our pain, suffering, fears, sadness and horrible despair. It results that our key ambition, need and aim should be avoiding and preventing each form of loneliness in our private and social life at all costs. But, as it occurs, this causes a lot of further – not only theoretical but unfortunately also practical – problems, which some researchers and ordinary people must face. This kind of unilateral and unambiguous interpretation both loneliness and communitiveness is called in the article “monolectical”. In addition, it is shown in it that ‘monolectics’ of communitiveness or loneliness is insufficient for possibly objective and complete picture of this two. In consequence it is argued that monoseological discourse is able to gain it and to develop itself only by turning to the dialectical method of explaining. The fundamental thesis and belief as well, expressed on the ground of the dialectics of loneliness and communitiveness, is that loneliness and communitiveness are not at all isolated but strongly complementary. A practical conclusion arises from this statement according to which each of us should intertwine in his or her life some periods of communitiveness and then some periods of loneliness.

The main goal of this article was to examine the role of loneliness in the short stories by Yevgeny Kharitonov, whose pieces are considered to be representative for Russian gay literature (LGBT Literature) of the Soviet period. This article explores the reasons why loneliness and its subsequent stages became the main motif of Kharitonov's literary work. The term "sterile loneliness", brought to light by Eduard Limonov, perfectly reflects the deep sense of loneliness which is the worst struggle in the main character’s life. The author of this article attempts to show the psychological figure of a lonely and love-awaiting character in the short stories by Yevgeny Kharitonov.

The feeling of loneliness is a condition that affects not only adults and youth, but also children. It may be a temporary and transient in nature, occurring as a response to external circumstances, although it can also be long-lasting, as long as months and years, and be a result of deep, traumatic childhood experiences. One of its most common sources is isolation of a child in a family, peer groups and at school. In the article, the author considersnwhether the sense of loneliness experienced by children can also be traced back to the media and the functioning of children in the digital environment. Thanks to the conductednqualitative study (focus interviews with children), the paper answers questions regarding how early school-age children perceive loneliness and isolation, and whether they link this phenomenon with digital media.

Today, disturbingly often, it is possible to witnesses the effects of stigma and exclusion not only of the individual, but of whole groups of people, the result of reinforced, persistent stereotypes and prejudices about the subjects mentioned. They cause wrong social attitudes, expressed by the deprivation of the isolated persons of their rights to create and nurture relationships based on closeness and love, and often doom these people to a life of total seclusion. This article is an attempt to show the far-reaching consequences of depriving persons with intellectual disabilities and denying the right of self-expression. It is also a critical reflectionon the irregularities experienced by people, towards whom it is introduced, in terms of institutional isolation. At the same time, by presenting the results of personal research and conclusions, attention is being drawn to the fact that in our society there is an emerging hope for positive changes in the daily treatment of the socially isolated individuals. Yet, there is a constant need for a continuous reinforcement of the public awareness of the fact that the reintegration of these excluded individuals in the community benefits both the parties involvedTaking up the theme of stigma and social exclusion of persons with intellectual disabilities and convicts is considered important and relevant, as this is an issue which remains topical and gives rise to multiple moral dilemmas.

Opis:
What we usually call loneliness is surely something experienced by: Palamedes and Ajax at Troy – the victims of Odysseus’s envy, Antygone – after meeting her sister Ismene, Prince Hamlet – after speeking to his mother. The author added to K. Jaspers b order situations his own loneliness research model: about invasive modality in surgery. It consists of two obligatory components parts: 1. Surgeon’s decision given to the patient in the form of proposal – suggestion.2. Patient’s approval – consent. Without surgeon’s proposal – patient consent is meaningless. Without the patient’s approval, the operation cannot usually take place. Patient’s approval, or refuse, is this part of the surgical decision, were we can distinguish: 1. Man’s sovereignty in disposing of his health and life. 2. Existence of a distinct self – individuality of existence “I”. The research model reveals, perhaps even more clearly than the another ones, the ontic dimension of loneliness. Loneliness is the price of identity – oneselfness. In conclusions the author stressed: Necessity of discussing patient’s consent in conjunction with surgeon’s decision. Attempts to isolate the issue of patient’s approval lead to aporia, in particular cases to unhappiness. Whilst describing, by the surgeon, diagnosis and treatment plan, the patient does not gain any competence in the branch of surgery; he is preoccupied with examining the doctor. The most important thing is whether he can trust him. Even the best functioning institutions and community customs cannot remove loneliness completely, especially in border situation s. Therefore they may not be blamed for the fact that the loneliness exists. Time is a strong generator of tensions connected with loneliness. Agreeing with N. Hartmann, that the man exists in his achievements, the author adds: and in decisions made in solitude. There is also creativity here.

Opis:
Celem badawczym pracy jest ukazanie samotności jako doświadczenia osobowego człowieka z perspektywy interdyscyplinarnego ujęcia fenomenu samotności. Zjawisko to zostało zestawione z poczuciem osamotnienia i izolacji.
The research purpose of the thesis is to present loneliness as a human personal experience from the perspective of an interdisciplinary approach to the phenomenon of loneliness. This phenomenon has been juxtaposed with the sense of loneliness and isolation. While pursuing the research purpose the author has set, she aims at typification and – as a result – defining specificity of experiencing loneliness, drawing pedagogical conclusions. Finally, she concludes that solitude understood in a positive way, as a conscious choice (and not an exclusion), is necessary for the proper development of a human being who should alternate the time of interaction with people with moments of silence and reflection occurring during the meetings ‘with oneself’.

Opis:
The aim of this article is to confront Susan Faludi’s and Thomas Johansson’s theory concerning the masculinity crisis with images of men presented in modern Swedish popular literature. The masculinity crisis theory has risen in relation to feminism and presents the crisis manifesting itself in men’s difficulties in building deep relationships as a consequence of fear of getting close with other people, fears of not living up to the idea of an ideal man and loneliness. Three contemporary Swedish popular novels: Pappadagar i Råttans år (Paternity leave in Rat Year) by Daniel Möllberg (2007), Vi som aldrig sa hora (We who have never said whore) by Ronnie Sandahl (2007) and Vi har redan sagt hej då (We have already said good bye) by Daniel Åberg (2010) have been analysed in the light of the masculinity crisis theory. The analysis focuses on presentation of male characters in those novels, feelings they experience and ways of coping with their personal crisis. The author points out that men’s problems as claimed by the masculinity crisis theory are reflected in the analysed novels to some extent. However, since the characters are able to overcome adversities, one cannot unambiguously state that their masculinity is in crisis.

Post-modernity has radically deformed the traditional ideas connected with entering the role of mother. The aim of the research was to define socio-cultural factors that change defining and interpreting the key aspects of woman functioning in the first weeks after giving birth to a child. Basing on the gathered narrative interviews there were selected repetitive and subjectively meaning experiences creating the first period motherhood images. The free choice right experience and its psychological consequences, dilemma between natural and medical phenomena interpretation/ pregnancy, delivery, confinement and lactation/, emotional stress determinants or young mothers’ social perception were experience-creating elements of young women experiences. Pedagogical perspective in the analysis and interpretation of aspects connected with entering the role of mother may constitute a contribution in the approach to that present-day women’s life period, as well as in forming a social support for the motherhood.

The article is an attempt of analysis of the category of loneliness in the mystical experience. The loneliness is a natural space of cognition and a necessary condition of the contemplation enabling the experience of God, but it is also irremovable element of all stages of the mystical experience. Three of the principle problems of this question were subjected to the analysis. Faithful loneliness constituting the essence of the concept of anachorese. From such point of view the isolation from the world (as well as the escape from the body) turns out to be a way to experience of God. Holy loneliness as a durable spiritual state connected with narrow path of the dark contemplation of St. John of the Cross (mystical loneliness in God and for God). Inner loneliness (Eckhart’s seclusion as a basis of the project of inner man).

Opis:
The „Tischner-Days” Symposium of 2010 examined the topic: „The World and Faith in a Time of Breakthrough”. The newly published conference papers try to define the situation of culture and faith in western civilisation today. The Symposium participants concentrated their efforts mostly on such terms as „individualisation”, „secularisation” and the „holy”. In this article we try to re- read these terms as the description of ongoing changes in the context of Ferdinand Ebners’ dialogical view of the person. Our attempt is therefore to evaluate whether the processes result   in a more personal (inter-personal) world or, rather, in a new ideology, experienced in „I-aloneness” (Ebner). Individualisation – the key term of our analysis – could signify a positive process (as for example K. Popper suggests), when it truly leads from collectivism with its ideology to individualism understood as a (dialogical) person (as in Ebner, Guardini or Mounier). Currently secularisation (Ch. Taylor, K. Gabriel) stands in opposition to Max Webers’ old „secularisation thesis” of pluralisation according to the individual situation of the person, rather than the disappearance of faith. The changes in the sphere of the „holy” could be positive if seen as focusing on the „I-Thou” relation. However, when the ongoing individualisation is not grounded in a dialogical view of the person, it can end up merely as a shift from one ideology to another; secularisation could end up merely as the dissipation of consciousness in a superficial and impersonal „vision”, and the experience of God could become impersonal as mere energy or radiation. When the real life of the person must be seen in terms of his real „spirit”, we are, instead, dealing here with a „dream of the spirit” – as Ebner  says. What then is to be done? To make our times more human (so the humanity of the person will subsist in the dialogical dimension), the „need for a breakthrough” becomes urgent. We should not only foster the interpersonal dialogue, but also fight against „structural loneliness”, i.e. to convert abstract (inhumane) notions into human (dialogical) notions (for example as D. Graebers’ attempts with „debt”).

Opis:
The subject of analysis in this paper is the motif of loneliness in the early works of Irène Némirovsky (1903–1942). A pessimistic view on human life, which is typical for Némirovsky, is shown by the author of this article on the example of three works: L’Enfant génial, David Golder and Les Mouches d’automne.  The main character of each of the works constantly feels misunderstood, alienated and eventually dies, convinced of the meaninglessness of his/her existence. These feelings become common for the characters, which at first glance seem completely different - a Jewish boy from the poor quarter of Odessa, a rich financier living in Paris, and an elderly Russian nanny, who emigrates with her masters. The problem of loneliness in Némirovsky’s writing is closely related to the issues of finding one’s own identity and attempts to overcome the past.

Najsilniej dotykają one grupy i jednostki najsłabsze.
The society in which today's man exists is not only difficult but also complicated. That is why many people cannot cope with personal and social problems. Many of them experience social exclusion defined as the effect of various social disabilities, due to which an individual or a group cannot fully participate in social, economical and political life of the society to which they belong. The subject of social exclusion is most of all an individual, who was excluded on his way to realize his own humanitas due to his own faults or because of improper policy of the country. The most important problems located within the area of exclusion include: disability, unemployment, homelessness, addictions, loneliness and destitution. The above mentioned areas of exclusion are characterized and the author attempts to indicate ways to help those who have become victims of exclusion. The basic institution which helps the excluded is social aid, whose first and foremost aim is improving social life. Within social aid, social workers play an important role, since as educated and competent they can have an influence on improving a person’s life. Unfortunately, the basic needs of an excluded person are not always adequately addressed. These shortcomings affect most of all the weakest groups and individuals. Due to deficiencies in social policy and its subject areas: population, family, education, housing, income sharing, social security, employment - there occurs erosion of the weakest links of the social system. Thus there is a need of opening the policy of the state towards various social problems which are not always the fault of an individual but of the system, to which he/she belongs.
