Opis:
The subject of the article is a comparative analysis of the Russian expression не судьба кому-л. and its Polish equivalents. In the ethno-cultural aspect, it describes one of the Russian key ideas – the concept of SUD’BA. The special status of the discussed unit is evidenced by: the synthetic form and the inability to express its content in the same simple way in another language, the non-assertive type of meaning and informality. The analysis of lexicographic and corpus sources shows that the closest synonyms of the Russian predicate are Polish sentence phrases, coś nie było sądzone komuś and taki los that shows semantic and pragmatic differences. The devaluation of the importance of the Russian unit observed in recent uses consists in changing the attitude of regret towards unfavourable events into a sense of relief and its relation to “light” and ordinary events. This meaning corresponds to Polish – taka już czyjaś uroda.

The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the important role that fiction can play in the reconstruction of historical memory. We start from some concepts proposed by phenomenology, and those wisely used by the literary pragmatics and aesthetics of reception, in order to explain the effect that fiction has on the reader regardless of contents or themes. The choice of Los girasoles ciegos is to illustrate the effectiveness of fictional stories in the reconstruction of historical memory through the use of four stories present suitable formal features. These stories allow the reader to interpret the text as own experience.

If Milos’s Forman target in Amadeus was to present Mozart’s music as dramatis personae, then in Goya’s Ghosts everything revolves around the paintings of Goya, which he perceives in a way that is not based on the artist’s biography. He was far from wanting to direct a movie about Goya, as he cared solely about picturing the demons that were haunting the artist. His point of view on the works of this great Spaniard was one of widely understood referentiality that stemmed from his being convinced of the documental understanding of historical facts. This is noticable both in reference to Los Caprichos (1797-1798) and to Los desastres de la Guerra (1810-1820), but mostly it evinces itself in paintings crafted for the court and paintings that were created to document Spanish protest against the French occupants who had occupied Goya’s fatherland. It helped to integrate paintings showing Madrid and its surroundings into a flow of movie pictures, which determined the notability of Forman’s film, but it also led to the non-recognition of the agenda of freedom inscribed in Goya’s creations; the consequences were that Forman misread the painter’s intentions and interpreted both of the oeuvres too realistically – Los Caprichos and Los desastres de la guerra, not excluding such works as historical paintings and portraits. The summary includes remarks about visible transfer from formal art to informal art, from manor painting to the intronisation of “liberalism in art”.

The objective of this paper is to reflect on some features of David Toscana’s novel Los puentes de Königsberg. In this contribution by the Northern Mexican writer there are unusual parallelisms between different realities of the cities of Monterrey (Mexico) and Königsberg (East Prussia), which become the basis of the structure of the novel. In this framework the author situates certain eccentric characters, providing them with a “double life”, a real Mexican one and an imaginary East-Prussian one, in order to contrast the cities and validate the superiority of Königsberg, the actual protagonist of the novel. Toscana uses selected criteria, such as scientific and cultural contributions by the cities, their different historical fates, and the moral attitudes of their inhabitants towards discrimination, war crimes and gender violence, which implies a severe critique of Monterrey’s society. The set of parallelisms between the cities is totally convincing as a fictional structure and emphasizes the most prominent quality of Toscana’s analysed prose.

En idioma español, como en italiano y tal vez otros, con la palabra seguridad alimentaria se entienden dos conceptos que en inglés se expresan como food security y food safety. Además, para cada uno de estos conceptos existen distintas definiciones con muy diferentes alcances y relaciones recíprocas. La seguridad alimentaria incluye la disponibilidad, el acceso, la estabilidad, el aspecto nutricional y la inocuidad de los alimentos. En este trabajo se explican cada uno y se desarrollan las dificultades de cada uno para alcanzarlos. También se hace referencia a la defensa alimentaria y a la autosuficiencia alimentaria. Finalmente, se confronta el paradigma de la seguridad alimentaria con el de la soberanía alimentaria.
In Spanish, Italian and probably also in many other languages, the expression “seguridad alimentaria” may be understood in two ways: “food safety” or “food security.” For each of these terms, there are different definitions, each with a very different scope and relationships. Food security includes access to food, stability, nutritional values, safe food and cultural preferences. The aim of this article is to present the various aspects of this broad concept, and to demonstrate the difficulty of achieving appropriate standards for each of the components of “seguridad alimentaria.” Aspects related to food protection and so-called food self-sufficiency are also addressed. Finally, the food security paradigm has been confronted with the food safety paradigm.
In spagnolo, come in italiano e forse anche in altre lingue, con l'espressione “seguridad alimentaria” si intendono due concetti: “sicurezza degli alimenti” e “sicurezza alimentare”. Per ciascuno di essi esistono definizioni differenti con ambiti e relazioni reciproche molto differenziati. Con la “seguridad alimentaria” si presume l'accesso al cibo, la stabilità, il valore nutrizionale, la sicurezza degli alimenti e le preferenze culturali. L’obiettivo dell'articolo è di presentare i singoli aspetti di questo ampio concetto, nonché di dimostrare le difficoltà legate al raggiungimento di standard adeguati per ciascuna delle sue componenti. L'autore tocca anche aspetti legati alla sicurezza alimentare e alla cosiddetta autosufficienza in campo alimentare. Alla fine, il paradigma della sicurezza alimentare è stato confrontato con il paradigma della sicurezza degli alimenti.
