    The article Holiness of the Church according to Sermons of St. Peter Chrysologus presents one aspect of the ecclesiology of the bishop of Ravenna. Among the most popular questions, which are evidenced in his theological reflection, it is necessary to evidence, that Church Fathers focus their attention on an ontological aspect of the Church’s holiness which finds its foundation in Christ. Frequent references to ideas of the Mystical Body of Christ or the Church as a spouse of Christ confirm our opinion. It is necessary to admit that these themes, like other questions, developed in Chrysologus’s sermons (the role of the sacrament or belief that there is no salvation outside the Church) are already known in the patristic literature. Therefore the ecclesiology of the bishop of Ravenna is not original. However, taking into consideration the pastoral dimension of his teaching, it is clear that the objective of his sermons was different than to present an ecclesiological treatise. The results of analytical researches allow to complete the picture of the doctrine of the Church by its unknown aspect, contained in the teaching of the bishop of Ravenna.

    Opis:
    A teacher’s work with children of preschool and early school age focuses on achieving the teaching and educational objectives, as well as those related to childcare. The tasks include, among others, supporting pupils in shaping the image of the world, recognising different values and criteria,as well as methods of choosing them, obtaining basic social skills, and shaping moral and religious attitudes. The educator is obliged to show the children universal values and ethical principles. They also have to present role models and motivate their pupils to imitate them. All of this fosters an image of sanctity among children. When it comes to making decisions regarding the shaping of the image of sanctity among children, the teacher is restricted by educational law, especially the core curriculum of general education, as well as the school’s curriculum. This restriction applies mainly to the objectives and content of teaching and education. However, in matters of methodology, the teacher has many possibilities for creative action. They may exceed the methodologies suggested by educational law and design their own teaching innovations. With regard to shaping the image of sanctity among children, of particular note are All Saints’ Day balls, Angel Days, educational games and activities, family fairs, saints’ parades, competition and stage productions.

    W pracy pt. Patriotyzm jako jedna z dróg do świętości w świetle życia i pism św. Rafała Kalinowskiego zaprezentowałam tezę, że chrześcijanin jest powołany do życia Ewangelią we wszystkich wymiarach swojej egzystencji i że wzrastając w Bogu, wzrasta on też jako człowiek. Powyższe stwierdzenie skonfrontowałam z najnowszą adhortacją papieża Franciszka Gaudete et exsultate, w której Ojciec Święty zaprasza każdego człowieka do życia w świętości bardziej ludzkiej i bardziej żywej, to znaczy do prostego zwyczajnego życia przeżywanego z miłością ku Bogu i bliźnim. W świetle życia i pism św. Rafała Kalinowskiego ukazałam, jak ten człowiek początkowo pełen romantycznych uniesień i wychowany w patriotycznej rodzinie, przeżył nawrócenie serca i z rozumienia patriotyzmu jako wartości świeckiej i obywatelskiej otworzył się na doświadczenie patriotyzmu jako cnoty religijnej i przestrzeni, w której dąży do zjednoczeniem z Bogiem zbawiającym ludzi wszystkich wieków.
    The paper Patriotism as one of the paths to holiness based on the life and scriptures of Saint Rafał Kalinowski presents the thesis that Christians are called to life according to the Gospel in all dimensions of their existence and that growing up in God, they also grow as human beings. The above statement is confronted with the latest Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis Gaudete et exsultate, in which the Holy Father invites every man to live in holiness more human and more alive, i.e. to live simple and ordinary life with love to God and neighbour. Based on the life and scriptures of Saint Rafał Kalinowski it was presented how this man, initially full of romantic excitement and brought up in a patriotic family, experienced the conversion and from the understanding of patriotism as a secular and civic value, he opened himself to the experience of patriotism both as a religious virtue and as a way in which he seeks to unite with God saving people of all centuries.

    Among the many paths in life on which God places man there is undoubtedly the one that leads to the heights of holiness. It is not always easy, but certainly beautiful. Delighted by this beauty of God’s plans, Brother Jerzy Lakomiak united his paths with the Master’s dogs. Reading and responding to God’s call, he responded with his life by taking up the path of the evangelical counsels: chastity poverty and obedience following the example of St. Francis of Assisi. His love for God, the Blessed Mother, holy poverty, quiet and humble service, and a life of prayer, first in his native country and then for half a century on Argentine soil, made it possible that today among his confreres and those who knew Brother George, he is spoken of as one who exemplarily fulfilled the mission the Risen Lord entrusted to him.

    Celem "Equipe Notre-Dame" jest pomoc parom w obszernym doświadczeniu sakramentu małżeństwa. Pojęcie małżeństwa, które można znaleźć w pismach założyciela - Caffarela - oraz w dokumentach Ruchu, skupiają się na trzech podstawowych zagadnieniach: miłości, sakramencie małżeństwa i świętości. Miłość małżeńska jest podstawą samego małżeństwa, pochodzi od Boga i prowadzi do Boga. Para ludzka jako ostatnie istoty stworzone przez Boga jest zwieńczeniem stworzenia. Są one również pełnym obrazem Boga, gdyż "Bóg jest miłością", a miłość jest relacją interpersonalną. Nie tylko sakramentalne małżeństwo jest obrazem miłości Chrystusa do Kościoła, ale również daje udział w tej miłości. Nierozerwalna jedność małżonków wypływa z sakramentu małżeństwa. Odzwierciedla on nieodłączny związek Chrystusa z Jego Kościołem. Łaska sakramentu małżeństwa nie ogranicza się do transakcji małżeństwa, ale w sposób dynamiczny wypełnia całe życie małżonków. Każdy chrześcijanin, niezależnie od ich statusu, jest powołany do świętości. W "Equipe Notre-Dame" możliwość uświęcenia poprzez małżeństwo jest silnie zaznaczona, a także udoskonalana jest na droga małżonków  do świętości.
    The aim of the Teams of Our Lady is to help couples in a comprehensive experience of the sacrament of marriage. The concept of marriage which can be found in the writings of the founder - Father Caffarel - and in the documents of the Movement, focuses on three basic issues: love, sacrament of marriage and sanctity. Conjugal love is the basis of marriage itself, it comes from God and leads to God. The human couple as the last creature of God is the culmination of creation. They are also a full image of God, since „God is Love", and love is an interpersonal relation. Not only is sacramental marriage the image of Christ's love to the Church, but it also gives the married couple a share in this love. The unbreakable unity of the couple stems from the sacrament of marriage. It reflects an inseparable relationship of Christ with His Church. The grace of the sacrament of marriage is not limited to the transaction of marriage, but in a dynamic way fills the couple's whole life. Every Christian regardless of their status is called to sanctity. In the Movement of Teams of Our Lady the possibility of sanctification through marriage is strongly highlighted as well as the path of the spouses to holiness.

    Przedmiotem badawczym recenzowanej monografii jest fenomen świętości jako droga do prawdziwej wolności człowieka w optyce nowych wyzwań rysujących się przed współczesnym chrześcijaninem.  W sposób szczególny rozpatrywany jest przypadek życia i śmierci kleryka Alfonsa Mańki OMI, męczennika II wojny światowej. Autorzy monografii próbują znaleźć odpowiedź jakie czynniki (metody wychowania) mają wpływ na ukształtowanie się dojrzałej postawy wiary, zdolnej przezwyciężyć cierpienie spowodowane prześladowaniem. W tym celu potrzeba wielowymiarowego, interdyscyplinarnego modelu wychowania w seminariach duchownych w Polsce.  Do jego wdrażania potrzebne jest stworzenie klimatu dojrzewania powołania kapłańskiego czy też zakonnego w domu rodzinnym. Ważne jest także ukazanie tej drogi życia w jej szerokim kontekście, w tym w kontekście prześladowań religijnych.
    The research topic of the reviewed monograph is the phenomenon of holiness as a path to true human freedom in the context of the new challenges confronting the modern Christian.  The life and death of the seminarian Alphonse Mańka OMI, a martyr of World War II, is examined in particular. The authors of the monograph attempt to address the question of what factors (methods of upbringing) impact the formation of a mature attitude of faith, capable of overcoming the suffering caused by persecution. A multifaceted, interdisciplinary educational paradigm is required at Polish seminaries for this goal.  In order for it to be implemented, it is vital to develop an environment in the family home for the maturation of a priestly or religious vocation. It is also important to show this path of life in its broader context, which includes religious persecution.

    The object of the article is to show the manifestations of the crisis that touches contemporary marriages and which is a result of sexual revolution, women’s emancipation and a negation of hitherto valid values.     W artykule zamieszczono wyniki analizy chrześcijańskiego życia rodzinnego pod kątem jego roli w dążeniu małżonków do pełnego udziału w życiu Bożym. W pierwszej kolejności wskazano na istotne elementy udziału w życiu Bożym, następnie na podstawę i specyfikę uświęcenia małżonków w rodzinie, na motywacje osobistego uświęcenia i ich udział w potrójnej misji Chrystusa, a w końcu wskazano na środki, praktyki oraz postawy pomocne w dążeniu do pełni Bożego życia poprzez życie w rodzinie. Wyniki przeprowadzonych analiz zamieszczono w zakończeniu. Stwierdzono, że istnieją trzy istotne elementy, składające się na pełnię chrześcijańskiego życia: głęboka, osobista więź z Chrystusem, troszczenie się o poznanie i wypełnienie woli Bożej oraz umiłowanie Kościoła. Wykazano, że małżonkowie są zobowiązani do dążenia do pełnego udziału w życiu Bożym przede wszystkim z racji przyjęcia sakramentów chrztu i małżeństwa, a specyfika ich uświęcenia wynika z życia w rodzinie, szczególnie z sakramentu małżeństwa, który wyznacza ich dążenie do pełnego udziału w życiu Bożym w ścisłym odniesieniu do osoby poślubionej. Stwierdzono, że sam charakter chrześcijańskiego życia duchowego oraz charakter życia rodzinnego implikują konieczność troski o uświęcenie siebie i drugiej osoby poślubionej sakramentalnie. Podkreślono zobowiązania wynikające z udziału w potrójnym posłannictwie Chrystusa: kapłańskim, prorockim i królewskim oraz ich specyficzny charakter w życiu rodzinnym. Wykazano, że małżonkowie są wezwani do podejmowania praktyk religijno-duchowych, do których jest zobowiązany każdy ochrzczony, a ze względu na życie w rodzinie – wśród szczególnie ważnych postaw bądź praktyk wymieniono: umiejętność akceptacji i przebaczenia, cierpliwość, dyspozycyjność, służebność i pokorę.
    The article presents the results of the analysis of Christian family life from the point of view of its role in the spouses’ striving for full participation in the life of God. First, the essential elements of participation in the life of God were pointed out, then the base and the specificity of the sanctification of the spouses in the family, also the motivations of personal sanctification and their participation in the threefold mission of Christ, and at the end the measures, practices, and attitudes helpful in the pursuit of full life of God through the life in the family were presented. The results of the conducted analysis are included at the end. It was found that there are three essential elements of the fullness of Christian life: a deep, personal relationship with Christ, caring for knowledge and fulfillment of God's will, and love of the Church. It has been shown that the spouses are obliged to strive for full participation in the divine life, mainly due to the obtained sacraments of baptism and marriage, and the specifics of their sanctification results from the life in the family, especially from the sacrament of marriage which determines their desire to participate fully in the life of God in the strict reference to the spouse. It was found that the very nature of the Christian spiritual life and the nature of family life imply the need to care for the sanctification of oneself and the spouse married sacramentally. The obligations arising from participation in the threefold mission of Christ: priestly, prophetic and kingly and their specific character in the family life have been highlighted. It has been shown that the spouses are called to undertake the religious and spiritual practices which are required by every baptized person, and because of the family life, among the particularly important attitudes or practices, ability of acceptance and forgiveness, patience, availability, servitude and humility have been mentioned.

    W marcu 2011 roku Kongregacja do spraw Duchowieństwa wydała dokument zatytułowany „Kapłan, minister Bożego Miłosierdzia”, która stanowi pomoc dla spowiedników i kierowników duchowych. Analiza tego dokumentu wskazuje na konieczność ponownego odkrycia sakramentu pokuty i duchowego przywództwa, przez kapłana i penitenta. To poprzez sakrament pokuty i kierownictwa duchowego, które poprzez sumienia wierzących są utworzone. Ta rzeczywistość jest też elementem nowej ewangelizacji co powinno prowadzić do osobistego spotkania z Jezusem Chrystusem i w ten sposób do wzrostu w świętości.
    In March 2011, the Congregation for the Clergy issued a document entitled „The Priest, Minister of Divine Mercy", which is a help for confessors and spiritual directors. Analysis of this document indicates the need to rediscover the sacrament of penance and spiritual leadership, by the priest and by the penitent. It is through the sacrament of penance and through spiritual leadership that consciences of the believers are formed. This reality is also an element of the new evangeli¬zation which should lead one to personal encounter with Jesus Christ and thus to growth in sanctity.

    Papież Franciszek opublikował adhortację apostolską Gaudete et exsultate o powołaniu do świętości w świecie współczesnym19 marca 2018 r. Na ten dokument można popatrzeć przez pryzmat pastoralnego rozeznania jako pewnego narzędzia stosowanego w teologii pastoralnej. Pastoralne rozeznanie możemy zdefiniować jako intelektualno-duchową i ontologiczno-egzystencjalną potrzebę Kościoła, który uruchamia i kontynuuje zbawcze dzieło ewangelizowania świata. Bez wątpienia świętość jest istotnym przedmiotem pastoralnego rozeznania. Na podstawie dokumentu można wykazać, że podpowiedziane przez papieża Franciszka cechy świętości są jednocześnie jej kryteriami właściwego pastoralnego rozeznania.     On 19.03.2018, Pope Francis published the apostolic exhortation with the Latin title Gaudete et exsultate on the call to holiness in today’s world. This document can be seen from the perspective of pastoral discernment as a certain tool used in pastoral theology. Pastoral discernment can be defi ned as intellectual – spiritual and ontological – existential need of the Church which initiates and continues the saving work of evangelization of the world. Without doubt, holiness is an essential subject of pastoral discernment. Based upon this document one can perceive that the characteristic features of the right pastoral discernment suggested by Pope Francis are at the same time its criteria. These are: tolerance, patience and gentleness, joy and sense of humour, courage and enthusiasm, being in community, and remaining in constant prayer.

    The article shows the profiles of the seven blessed of the Archdiocese of Poznań, and passages from their memoirs. The author tries to discover the timeless features of the secular model of sanctity in the hagiographies of Edmund Bojanowski, Czesław Jóźwiak, Franciszek Kęsy, Edward Kaźmierski, Jarogniew Wojciechowski, Edward Klinik and Natalia Tułasiewiczówna. The article shows ineach of the seven biographies the path of gradual maturation in faith embedded in the historical context of events crucial for Poland. A common feature of all the characters is their strong commitment to the cause of education and patriotism based on a solid religious and moral foundation.

    Formation of an ecclesial community constitutes the basic moral call arising from reception of the sacrament of confi rmation. Formation of the person should also aim at accomplishing this objective. The Holy Spirit given in the sacrament of confi rmation plays a fundamental role in building the Church. Opening up to the gift of the Holy Spirit and submission to His direction allows to fi nd the proper place in the Church and accept full responsibility for destiny of the Church. The ecclesial role of the Holy Spirit in the sacrament of conformation sounds signifi cantly in the teaching of Benedict XVI. In his speeches and documents, the Pope repeatedly brought the truth about the special power of the Holy Spirit and His gifts into building the community dimension of the life of the Church. Therefore, in this refl ection – based on allocations of Pope Benedict XVI – the ecclesiological role of the Holy Spirit, coming in the sacrament of confi rmation, was presented.
    Podstawowym wezwaniem moralnym wynikającym z przyjęcia sakramentu bierzmowania jest kształtowanie wspólnoty eklezjalnej. Ku temu celowi ma też zmierzać formacja człowieka. Fundamentalną rolę w budowaniu Kościoła odgrywa udzielany w sakramencie bierzmowania Duch Święty. Otwarcie się na dar Ducha Świętego i poddanie się Jego kierownictwu pozwala na odnalezienie właściwego miejsca w Kościele i przyjęcie pełnej odpowiedzialności za jego losy.Eklezjotwórcza rola Ducha Świętego w sakramencie bierzmowania mocno wybrzmiewa w nauczaniu Benedykta XVI. W swoich przemówieniach i dokumentachpapież wielokrotnie przybliżał prawdę o szczególnej mocy Ducha Świętego i jego darów w budowaniu wspólnotowego wymiaru życia Kościoła. Dlatego w niniejszej refleksji – opierając się na alokucji papieża Benedykta XVI – ukazano eklezjotwórczą rolę Ducha Świętego, przychodzącego w sakramencie bierzmowania.

    The article presents the teachings of Popes John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis on the value of human life. St. John Paul II has developed the foundations of the science of the value of life.All the last popes unequivocally teach that human life is sacred and possesses an inescapable dignity all the time from conception to its end in natural death. The value of human life is rooted in the creation of man in the image and likeness of God, and is independent of the quality of life and the way of human existence. All successors of St. Peter shows the life of a Christian in a supernatural perspective. They also remind us of the many dangers of life such as abortion, genetic manipulation, war, euthanasia. The great defender of human life was St. Pope John Paul II. Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis point to the social dimension of human life, emphasizing the need to improve the quality of human existence. It is so important that the modern world is lost by mixing the category of absolute value of human life with the unspecified quality of life category

    The article presents the pursuit of the fullness of life in God by the saint patrons of the Archdiocese of Poznan, namely the saint bishop and martyr Stanislaw of Szczepanow, the blessed bishop and hermit Bogumil and the saint sister Urszula Ledochowska. The presentation is done according to the scheme: determinants of spiritual life - the most important elements and manifestations of sanctity. The inferences and assertions resulting from the conducted analyses are included in the conclusion. The study is preceded by a recapitulation of the basic truths regarding Christian spir- itual life and the role of saints in the lives of Christians. Studies have shown, among other things, that each of the patrons came into the world in a family with a deep faith and received a vocation to dedicate their life to God. In saint Stanislaus and saint Urszula you can see great organizational talents, a very friendly and gentle reference to others, concern for those in need of help and support, and the greatness of their dedication to others. In blessed Bogumil, the most noticeable feature is his love for hidden life and the practice of severe penance. All three share a commitment to evan- gelization. Each of them reveals a passion for prayer, a concern for being in deep communion with Christ, living with Christ and for Him the experience of suffering and awareness of responsibility for the salvation of others, as well as distance to material goods.
