    The aim of this study was to characterize the knowledge about the joy in children with mild intellectual disability. The premises relating to the mental functioning of these children suggest that this knowledge is poorer and less complex than the knowledge of their peers in the intellectual norm. The study used the authoring tool to measure children’s knowledge of emotions, including joy. The tool takes into account the cognitive representation of the basic emotions available in three codes: image, verbal, semantic and interconnection between the codes – perception, symbolization and conceptualization, which perform the functions of perception, expression and understanding. The study included children with the intellectual norm (N = 30) and children with mild intellectual disability (N = 30). The results mainly indicate the differences in how happiness is understood by particular groups, to the detriment of children with disability. The character of the results is largely determined by the level of organization of knowledge about joy and accompanying mental operations.

    The present article attempts to evaluate the language development of 6-year-old twins with neurological damage developed during the perinatal period. First, the author discusses theoretical issues related to the most frequently occurring cerebrovascular diseases in children and their consequences leading to speech development disorders. Then, a neurologopedic diagnosis procedure with the use of selected research tools is described.

    The basis for choosing the subject of this article was the conviction that due to the recent expansion of the meaning of the term “sustainable development”, the essence of education for sustainable development, its objectives and tasks implemented in different types of schools, including special schools, are also subject to change. The article will present the results of research covering, on the one hand, the analysis of strategic and programme documents and, on the other hand, the results of surveys conducted among 164 teachers employed in special education institutions in the Silesian and Lublin Voivodships.

    Opis:
    Since the beginning of modern fashion industry, fashion producers have been victims of unauthorized copying and unfair competition. However, with the rise of a fast fashion segment and the development of digital technology, the Internet and social media, this process is even more dynamic and fashion piracy is now a multi-billion dollar industry. The complexity of the problem, the specifics of the apparel industry as well as an ambivalent attitude of fashion manufacturers to copyright are reflected in frequent discussions among fashion professionals, lawyers, journalists and academics concerned about fashion piracy. However, while on the one hand fashion industry is getting closer to become subject to protection by vesting rights in designers and fashion designs, there are also voices suggesting positive effects of piracy in the apparel industry, which question the legitimacy of copyright law in fashion. The purpose of this article is to show the past process of building complex relationships between fashion and the law in modern societies and to discuss different perceptions of intellectual property in the industry.
    Od początków istnienia nowoczesnej branży odzieżowej, producenci mody byli ofiarami nieautoryzowanego kopiowania i nieuczciwej konkurencji. Jednakże wraz z powstaniem segmentu szybkiej mody, rozwojem technologii cyfrowych, Internetu i mediów społecznościowych proces ten się nasilił, a piractwo modowe stanowi obecnie zorganizowany przemysł wart miliardy dolarów. Złożoność problemu, specyfika branży odzieżowej i ambiwalencja samych producentów mody w kwestii kopiowania powodują, że piractwo w modzie jest kwestią często dyskutowaną wśród modowych profesjonalistów, prawników, dziennikarzy i naukowców. Mimo nasilającego się trendu obejmowania prawem projektantów i wzornictwa modowego, obserwujemy również próby kwestionowania zasadności wprowadzania prawa autorskiego do mody i wskazywania pozytywnych skutków piractwa w specyficznej branży odzieżowej. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie historycznego procesu budowania złożonych relacji między modą i prawem w społeczeństwach nowoczesnych oraz omówienie różnych sposób postrzegania kwestii prawa własności intelektualnej w tej branży.

    The author emphasizes the influence of social attitudes towards an individual on his or her self-perception and also pays attention to what threatens the development of identity in people with intellectual disability. It is said that the most important thing in the process of identity formation is the fulfillment of three basic psychological needs during adulthood: the need for having positive relations with other people, the need for autonomy and the need for competence. The limited opportunities of adult women and men with intellectual disability to realize these needs are connected to attitudes towards people with intellectual disability such as over-protectiveness, compassion, focus on deficits, ignorance, segregation, control and judgments. These attitudes are generated by a set of social stereotypes, according to which a person with intellectual disability is an “ageless child”. People with intellectual disabilities are affected by a lack of autonomy, the impossibility of experiencing their own competence as well as limited social contacts as they stay under control of their closest social environment. These problems are concerned with the areas of sexuality and independent living. The author provides examples of discriminatory attitudes as well as current stereotypes and social beliefs which are an actual barrier to the psychosocial functioning of adult people with intellectual disability with respect to the realization of their sexual needs and needs for autonomy.

    Music therapy is a complex process conducive to the improvement of the functioning of the organism subjected to this type of action. It is a multifaceted action including various forms and methods of working with the use of music. In this text I present an analysis of the importance of such activities for the development of children with intellectual disabilities and try to assess the extent to which such activities are used in working with this group of people. The analysis of the ways of performing music therapy in relation to children with intellectual disabilities is illustrated by the results of a diagnostic survey.

    Scholars of intellectual property rights in Poland have described the manifold commercial and personal rights of authors and their protection. Yet they have essentially written nothing about the deprecation or even annihilation of many of those rights during the restoration of predatory capitalism. About the often fictitious right to royalties. About how not only the form of texts was forced on authors. About the not infrequent censorship of articles concerning politically delicate issues. These procedures mainly affect young scholars, teaching them servility, often generating fear and compliance rather than fidelity to the truth and to values. Not only science is being strangled in this way.
    Badacze prawa autorskiego w Polsce opisali rozliczne prawa majątkowe i osobiste twórców oraz ich ochronę. Ale w zasadzie nie napisali prawie nic o deprecjacji, niekiedy wręcz unicestwianiu wielu tych praw, w czasach restaurowania drapieżnej wersji kapitalizmu. O najczęstszej fikcji prawa do honorarium. O wymuszaniu na autorach nie tylko formy wydawanych tekstów. O nierzadkiej cenzurze artykułów dotykających kwestii niewygodnych politycznie. Takie procedery dotykają przede wszystkim młodych adeptów nauki, ucząc ich często serwilizmu, niekiedy budząc strach, nakazując poprawność, nie zaś wierność prawdzie i wartościom. Przez co zabijana jest nie tylko nauka.

    Edyta Stein – Sister Teresa Benedicta of the Cross – was fascinated by the “mystery of man”. Discovering this mystery led her to experience the “mystery of God”. She had a beautiful and difficult road leading through life and scientific transgressions, the path from thanatology to transthanatology, from the existence of a contingent existence to the existence of eternal Being. According to Edith Stein, the existence of man is unique. Everyone has to discover the fullness of his existence. Here comes Stein’s transition from psychological and philosophical considerations (phenomenon-fact) to theological considerations (foundation). By learning about God, man recognizes himself and discovers the ultimate truth of his existence. Whoever does not reach himself will not find God and enter eternal life. Or better: whoever does not find God will not find himself (no matter how much focus he will give on finding himself) and the source of eternal life that awaits him in his own interior.

    The role of parents in supporting the children’s psychosexual development is extremely significant. It is them who introduce first in the system of values, rules, behavioral standards, they teach how to express feelings and emotions and this is why the family home is the best place to start sexual education. It is very difficult for many parents to transfer knowledge about sexuality to children, especially for the parents of children with mental disability. They present different attitudes towards the children’s sexuality, which imply how they lead the education on this topic. Conducted research aimed at exploring the parents’ opinions on sexual education at home. Research results showed a range of difficulties (among others insufficient preparation or knowledge) concerning the conversations with children about their psychosexual development. It is necessary to support the parents with knowledge, information as well as with competences and skills in sexual education of children.

    Opis:
    Koncepcja gospodarki opartej na wiedzy (GOW) wskazuje na bezpośrednie powiązanie wiedzy i jej operacyjnego wymiaru w postaci rozwiązań praktycznych z innowacyjnością gospodarki, a przede wszystkim konkurencyjnością sektorów gospodarki. GOW jest zintegrowana z kilkoma kierunkami badań mikro- i makroekonomicznych: tzw. nowe teorie wzrostu, w tym dwusektorowy model Romera, badanie rodzajów form nowej organizacji pracy, diagnoza roli nauki i systematycznej innowacji wewnątrz firm itd. Problemem zasadniczym pozostaje możliwość mierzenia GOW, a najprostszym rozwiązaniem wydaje się utworzenie czwartego sektora - gospodarki opartej na wiedzy i zmierzenie jej udziału w PKB. Ponieważ decydującym etapem kreowania GOW jest wzajemny transfer wiedzy i technologii z instytucji edukacyjnych oraz badawczych do przedsiębiorstw i odwrotnie transmisja wiedzy, także zasobów finansowych, z przedsiębiorstw do sektora B+R, należy uznać wskaźniki kooperatywności za strategiczne dla analiz. Wśród rozpoznawalnych form współpracy uczelni z podmiotami rynku najczęściej wymieniane są spin-off, Centra Zaawansowanych Technologii i Platformy Transferu Wiedzy. Ocena współpracy podmiotów gospodarczych ze szkołami wyższymi na Mazowszu w zakresie działalności B+R wypada niekorzystnie. Ponadto większość przedsiębiorców negatywnie oceniało możliwość nawiązania współpracy w przyszłości. Przedsiębiorcy również negatywnie oceniają oferty szkół wyższych, zwracając szczególną uwagę na koszt świadczonych usług oraz niski walor użytkowy oferty. Do zbioru działań, których podjęcie miałoby decydujący wpływ na GOW, należy zaliczyć opracowanie przez szkoły wyższe Mazowsza strategii i planów działania dotyczących współpracy badawczej i dydaktycznej z praktyką gospodarczą, zintensyfikowanie działań promocyjnych w uczelniach, powołanie profesjonalnych jednostek organizacyjnych odpowiedzialnych za współpracę ze sferą biznesu oraz zmiany legislacyjne w zakresie własności intelektualnej, w tym regulacji dotyczących jednoznacznego podziału korzyści związanych z jej komercjalizacją.
    The concept of economy based on knowledge (EBK) is pointing to a direct connection of knowledge and its operational dimension in the form of practical Solutions, with the innovation of the economy, but first of all with the competitiveness of economic sectors. EBK is integrated with a few lines of micro- and macroeconomic enquiries: so-called new theories of rise, including the two-sector model of Romer, the examination of the kinds of forms of the new labour organization, the diagnosis of the role of learning and systematic innovation inside companies etc. The main problem is the possibility of measuring EBK, and the simplest seems to be the creation of a fourth economic sector - economy based on knowledge and measuring its share in the GDR Since a crucial stage of EBK creating is a mutual transfer of knowledge and technology from educational and research institutions to enterprises and, vice-versa, the transmission of knowledge, and also financial resources, from enterprises to the B+R sector, one should recognize that cooperation indicators are strategic for analyses. Amongst recognizable forms of cooperation of the college with market subjects, the ones most often mentioned are spin-off, Centres of Advanced Technology and Platforms of Development of Knowledge. The assessment of the cooperation of business entities with higher education institutions in Masovia comes out disadvantageously in the B+R field of activity. Moreover the majority of entrepreneurs negatively assessed the possibility of establishing a future cooperation. Entrepreneurs also assessed negatively the offers of higher education institutions, giving particular attention to the cost of provided and the Iow functional advantage of the offer. To the collection of actions which would have a deciding influence on EBK, one should add developing by higher education institutions of Masovia of a strategy and action plans concerning a cooperation in research and teaching with economic practice, intensification of promotional actions in colleges, establishment of professional organizational units responsible for the cooperation with the business sphere, and legislative changes in the scope of the intellectual property, this comprising regulations concerning the explicit division of benefits connected with its commercialization.
