In his reflection on the nature of evil, the Neoplatonic philosopher Proclus affirms that evil itself (to autokakon) is “also beyond the absolute non-being” (epekeina kai tou mēdamōs ontos). With this assumption, he intends to reinforce the thesis of the non-existence of absolute evil, conceived as totally separate from good, and contrasted with the collateral and parasitic existence of evil mixed with good. He thus maintains a distinction between absolute evil and relative evil, conceived with reference to the distinction between absolute non-being (i.e., nothingness) and relative non-being. In Proclus, the thesis of the non-existence of absolute evil is presented as a necessary consequence of the non-dualist theory of evil in the sphere of a protology that identifies the first Principle of all things in the primary Good (identical to the supra-essential One), and which aims to reconcile the absolute primacy of the latter with the presence of evil in some orders of reality.

Opis:
Kim Il Sung’s 1964 and 1966 conversations with linguists are appropriately deemed important as the establishment of the North’s “cultured language” as a standard, as well as guidance related to language purification and script. In the analysis of inflection point related to language planning and policy in the North, is the often guidance on re-enshrinement of teaching “Chinese characters” (hanja) in North Korean education. Clearly this was official pronouncement of functional, synchronic digraphia, which has been preserved and operationalized down to the present. Scholarship on these conversations, amounting to policy guidance, attribute the shift in policy related to script as an inflection point. The author of this article concurs with its importance, but with respect to digraphia in the North, the conversations related to hanja instruction served as a confirmation for what was a broad trend in North Korean language planning during the years 1953-1964, a language planning and policy  fait accompli, diminishing the portrayal of the conversations as a digraphic inflection point in North Korea.

With his theory of the epic theatre and its most important category V-Effekt, Bertolt Brecht can be included within precursors of the current of modern reflection on discourse, crisis of representation and transitivity of that which is literary with that which is theatrical, the stage character of the text and textuality of the stage. Disproving of the role of mimesis, the importance of quotation and repetition as rudimentary acting strategy, replacement of great narrations with a fragment, joining a work and a commentary, intertextual games, metatextuality and metatheatricality as a foundation of stage aesthetics encourage us to locate Brecht’s theatrical output in the context of reflection of Deridda, Foucault and Barthes.

The article compares medieval and Renaissance literary descriptions of the mythic land of eternal bliss and prosperity Cuccagna with pictures and texts of Italian television advertisement of the nineties. The characteristic moments of these descriptions such as, for example, abundance, satisfying sensual needs, celebrating and feasting as well as the evaluation of the described phenomena, in these distant texts of culture, are very similar to each other. Italian television advertisement appears as another contemporary image of the land of bliss Cuccagna.

In 2008 Chris Anderson wrote a provocative piece titled The End of Theory. The idea being that we no longer need to abstract and hypothesis; we simply need to let machines lead us to the patterns, trends, and relationships in social, economic, political, and environmental relationships. According to Anderson, the new availability of huge amounts of data offers a whole new way of understanding the world. Correlation supersedes causation, and science can advance even without coherent models and unified theories. But numbers, contrary to Anderson’s assertion, do not, in fact, speak for themselves. From the neuroscience’s standpoint, every choice we make is a reflection of an, often unstated, set of assumptions and hypotheses about what we want and expect from the data: no assertion, no prediction, no decision making is possible without an a priori opinion, without a project. Data-driven science essentially refers to the application of mathematics and technology on data to extract insights for problems, which are very clearly defined. In the real world, however, not all problems are such. To help solve them, one needs to understand and appreciate the context. The problem of landscape becomes, for this reason, critical and decisive. It requires an interdisciplinary approach consisting of several different competencies and skills.

La legge del Bilancio 2018 ha approvato regole per favorire lo sviluppo di giovani imprenditori e per aiutare il passaggio delle nuove generazioni nella gestione delle imprese agricole. I giovani, di età compresa tra i diciotto e i quaranta anni, possono stipulare con imprenditori agricoli, di età superiore a sessantacinque anni o pensionati, un contratto per dividere gli utili d’impresa. Nel periodo di affiancamento il giovane dovrà acquisire le competenze necessarie e il contratto può stabilire il subentro del giovane imprenditore agricolo nella gestione dell’azienda. L’autore esamina la compatibilità delle nuove norme con le disposizioni della legge agraria, mostrando alcuni punti deboli che il legislatore avrebbe dovuto considerare.
Ramy prawne budżetu państwa na rok 2018 we Włoszech przewidywały środki na szkolenie i rozwój młodych przedsiębiorców, aby pomóc nowym pokoleniom zarządzać przedsiębiorstwami rolniczymi. Młodzi ludzie w wieku 18-40 lat mogą zawierać umowy z przedsiębiorcami rolnymi w wieku powyżej 65 lat lub będącymi na emeryturze o współpracy i dzieleniu się zyskami z działalności. W okresie szkolenia młoda osoba musi zdobyć niezbędne umiejętności. Umowa może dotyczyć przejęcia zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem przez młodego przedsiębiorcę rolnego. Autor bada zgodność nowych przepisów z prawem rolnym, wskazując słabe punkty, które ustawodawca powinien był wziąć pod uwagę.
The legal framework of the State budget for the year 2018 in Italy provided for measures to encourage the training and development of young entrepreneurs in order to help in the transfer of new generations into agricultural business management. Young people, aged between eighteen and forty, my now enter into an agreement with agricultural entrepreneurs who are over sixty-five years old or retired, to cooperate and share the business profits. During the period of coaching the young person will have to acquire the necessary skills. The contract may provide for eventual takeover by the young agricultural entrepreneur of the management of the business. The author examines the compatibility of the new rules with the agrarian law, showing some weak points that the legislator should have considered.

This paper is focused on a volume of short essays and notes by Maria Kuncewiczowa entitled Notatki włoskie. Przezrocza (Italian notes. Slides) from 1985. The first part is devoted to the evolution and the literary realizations of the Italian journey, starting from 1918, in order to offer an interpretation of the place occupied by Kuncewiczowa’s work in the panorama of contemporary Polish literature. In the second part, the author analyzes the genesis and genre of this literary text, recognizing its characteristics as a silva rerum, a traditional formal model of Polish literature which experienced renewed fortune in the second half of the twentieth century. The third part of the essay constitutes its thematic core: the author analyzes the image of Rome in all its many facets, relating it to the writer’s poetics and worldview.

The traditional interpretation of Eleatism has it (1) that Melissus was a disciple of Parmenides (albeit with some divergences) and (2) that Parmenides believed in the timeless eternity of Being. It seems, on the contrary, (3) that Melissus acknowledged the reality of time by conceiving eternity as infinite time. Failing to justify this particular divergence from Parmenides’ approach, certain authors held that it was necessary to reinterpret the Melissan eternity as a form of infinite timelessness. This paper attempts to demonstrate that this reading is groundless and that if the traditional interpretation is questioned then one should reconsider the assumptions (1) and (2) but not (3).

The article presents the classification of symbolic and conventional gestures used in communication otherwise known as quasi-linguistic gestures. The author classified them into two types i.e. direct gestures and indirect gestures otherwise known as linguistic calques. In the present article the first type is presented in detail with a division into the following subtypes deictic, iconic, symbolic and ideographic-metaphoric. Some examples from Polish and Italian are also provided.

Opis:
Different philosophers pondered on Proust’s novel, including those who formulated a subtle hypothesis that philosophical thought that emerged from the novel went beyond the passages of philosophical character that could be found in Proust’s work. It is difficult to determine precisely Proust’s approach towards the novel which he, alternately, favors or disdains. A hypothesis has been formulated that In Search of Lost Time shapes the fiction in the style of Shelling’s and Schopenhauer’s philosophy; it is pointed out that the novelist developed a kind of rivalry between him and his second cousin Bergson. Proust received a thorough education in philosophy yet philosophy is only present in his novel in an anecdotal form. The debate that he starts between idealism and philosophical realism in his prose takes the form of a discussion between symbolism and naturalism. The reconstruction of Proust’s philosophical culture leads to the observation that it is, without a doubt, significantly influenced in different ways by two philosophers: Leibniz and Kant. Still, the writer does not admit to being impacted by any particular thinker; therefore, his narrator’s line of thought is constantly changing in such a way that any school of philosophical thought that appears in the novel is present only for a short while.
