    Opis:
    According to Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, aggression is an indispensable factor of development, since the stronger eliminates the weaker. This behavior works on the plane of lower living beings and proceeds through environmentally conditioned selection. In the case of beings driven by instinct, human beings included, such a selection is effected by means of aggression. The theory has moral implications and they are the focus of the present paper. The author discusses the practical implementations of this theory in "the age wolves", as he calls the time of Hitler's and Stalin's dictatorships, and also in the "futuristic manifesto" - the aftermath of the French Revolution, as well as in the framework of Freud's psychoanalysis, where one of the basic thesis claims that renouncement of the sexual drive leads to aggression. According to the author such beliefs are relevant to the contemporary phenomena of robotics, genetic technology and nanotechnology. The author enters into polemics with those beliefs by referring to the basic contents of the Christian faith, mainly to the perspective of the love of neighbor.
    Zgodnie z teorią ewolucji Ch. Darwina, agresja stanowi niezbędny faktor rozwoju, gdyż silniejszy eliminuje słabszego. Dzieje się to na płaszczyźnie niższych istot żywych na drodze selekcji uwarunkowanej środowiskiem. W przypadku istot kierujących się instynktem, w tym także u człowieka, dokonuje się to na drodze agresji. Teoria ta ma swoje implikacje moralne, co jest przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu. Autor omawia w nim zarówno praktyczne zastosowanie założeń tej teorii w ,,wieku wilków", jak nazywa czas dyktatur hitlerowskiej i stalinowskiej, ale także w ,,futurystycznym manifeście" będącym pokłosiem Rewolucji Francuskiej czy w ramach psychoanalizy Z. Freuda, którego jedna z podstawowych tez głosi, że rezygnacja z popędu prowadzi do agresji. W przekonaniu autora, z przekonaniami tymi wiążą się współczesne zjawiska robotyki, techniki genetycznej i nanotechnologii. Z tymi poglądami autor polemizuje, odwołując się do podstawowych treści wiary chrześcijańskiej, głównie zaś do perspektywy miłości bliźniego.

    The analysis carried out in the article indicates the truths about the Church contained in Benedict XVI’s encyclicals, which at the same time constitute specific inspirations for the missionary work of the Church ad gentes. The Pope does not distinguish between generally separate „missionary situations” and speaks rather of a single, fundamental, inalienable mission that still stands before the Church. Sometimes, however, he evokes the activity of the Church in mission areas. He reminds and points out that the Church’s ever-present task, including the mission ad gentes, is to remind and proclaim to the contemporary world the truth about God who is love. Missionary activity is also supposed to restore hope to modern man that goes beyond the temporal order. Finally, the Church’s mission, especially in the framework of her mission ad gentes, is to care for the true progress and development of every person and of the whole human society in truth and love. The missionary activity of the community Christ’s disciples remains a special area of such presence and witness of the Church in a world which is constantly globalizing.

    The next most popular form of Eucharist, aside from Holy Mass, is the adoration of The Highest Sacrament. The article depicts the great force coming from the adoration and its infl uence on shaping Christian moral attitudes. A prayer in front of Christ, present in the Eucharist, is a necessity for building one’s sanctity and living with the rules of the Gospel. It also opens new ways of Christian lifestyle and shows proof of, hidden in The Highest Sacrament, Christ’s eucharistic love. This personal experience with the Saviour is a real spring of Christian moral attitudes, which are faith, hope and love. The adoration of The Highest Sacrament strengthens the believers on their way towards the eternity and allows them to anticipate it.

    Celem artykułu jest ukazanie specyfiki chrześcijańskiego modelu krytyki inaczej myślących i postępujących oraz wskazanie jego podstawowych wyznaczników i kontekstów. Punkt odniesienia dla podjęcia tegoż zagadnienia stanowi współczesne wyzwanie wobec głoszenia prawdy Ewangelii, płynące z faktu silnego dowartościowania pluralistycznego charakteru „rynku idei”, które określa wyjątkowość dzisiejszej sytuacji kulturowej. Najpierw zostanie ukazana chrystocentryczno-trynitologiczna optyka, będąca podstawą oryginalnie chrześcijańskiego spojrzenia na rzeczywistość, w tym rzeczywistość krytyki, ześrodkowana ostatecznie na Osobie Jezusa Chrystusa. Następnie zostaną podjęte trzy kluczowe kwestie związane z chrześcijańską wizją krytyki: rozróżnienie między krytyką człowieka a krytyką jego poglądów i postaw, miłość jako ostateczne ufundowanie krytyki oraz powszechne wezwanie do nawrócenia. W podsumowaniu zostanie podkreślone, że u podstaw specyfiki chrześcijańskiego ujęcia krytyki znajduje się Bóg objawiony w Jezusie Chrystusie, będący Prawdą i Miłością i to On stanowi optykę, miarę oraz różnicujące kryterium chrześcijańskiej postawy krytycznej wobec inaczej myślących i postępujących, a zarazem autokrytyki.
    The aim of the article is to show the specifi city of the Christian model of criticism of those who think differently and act differently, and to indicate its basic determinants and contexts. The point of reference for considering this issue is the contemporary challenge to proclaiming the truth of the Gospel, resulting from the fact of strong appreciation of the pluralistic nature of the “market of ideas”, which determines the uniqueness of today’s cultural situation. First, the Christocentric-Trinitological perspective will be shown, which is the basis of the originally Christian view of reality, including the reality of criticism, ultimately centered on the Person of Jesus Christ. Then, three key issues related to the Christian vision of criticism will be addressed: the distinction between criticism of man and criticism of his views and attitudes, love as the ultimate foundation of criticism, and the universal call to conversion. In the summary, it will be emphasized that at the basis of the specificity of the Christian approach to criticism there is God revealed in Jesus Christ, who is Truth and Love, and it is He who is the optics, measure and differentiating criterion of the Christian critical attitude towards those who think and act differently, and at the same time of self-criticism.

    Pope Francis in post-synodal apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia, dedicated to the sacrament of matrimony, refers to the spousal union of Christ and the Church. In his work he quotes John Paul II’s documents. The article shows consistency and validity of biblical reality of the spousal love of Divine Bridegroom as the fundament of the sacrament of matrimony. In the text we can see the correlation between the spousal bond of Christ and the Church in its totality both in every single Christian and of the marital bond between Christian spouses.
