Opis:
An exact solution of the combined study of Hall effects on a vertical plate with a rotating fluid in the presence of a homogeneous chemical reaction of first order has been analysed. The dimensionless governing coupled partial differential equations are tackled using the usual Laplace transform technique. The sway of the Hall parameter, Hartmann number, Grashof number, Prandtl number, Schmidt number, chemical reaction parameter on the axial velocity and concentration of the fluid has been depicted graphically. When the non-dimensional angular velocity, Ω=2M21+m.2, the transverse velocity component vanishes, thereby the axial velocity of the fluid attains the maximum value. It is noted that with increase in the Hall parameter, thermal Grashof number and mass Grashof number, the axial velocity of the fluid increases significantly.

Opis:
Plane-strain vibrations in a fluid-loaded poroelastic hollow cylinder surrounded by a fluid are investigated employing Biot’s theory of wave propagation in poroelastic media. The poroelastic hollow cylinder is homogeneous and isotropic, while the inner and outer fluids are homogeneous, isotropic and inviscid. The frequency equation of the fluid-loaded poroelastic cylinder surrounded by a fluid is obtained along with several particular cases, namely, fluid-loaded poroelastic cylinder, fluid-loaded bore, poroelastic cylinder surrounded by a fluid and poroelastic solid cylinder submerged in a fluid. The frequency equations are obtained for axially symmetric, flexural and anti-symmetric vibrations each for a pervious and an impervious surface. Nondimensional frequency for propagating modes is computed as a function of the ratio of thickness to the inner radius of the core. The results are presented graphically for two types of poroelastic cylinders and then discussed.

Opis:
An analysis is presented to describe the hydromagnetic mixed convection flow of an electrically conducting micropolar fluid past a vertical plate through a porous medium with radiation and slip flow regime. A uniform magnetic field has been considered in the study which absorbs the micropolar fluid with a varying suction velocity and acts perpendicular to the porous surface of the above plate. The governing non-linear partial differential equations have been transformed into linear partial differential equations, which are solved numerically by applying the explicit finite difference method. The numerical results are presented graphically in the form of velocity, micro-rotation, concentration and temperature profiles, the skin-friction coefficient, the couple stress coefficient, the rate of heat and mass transfers at the wall for different material parameters.

Opis:
In this work, a numerical study of a sharply expanding highly swirling flow is carried out using v2-f models based on the Comsol Multiphysics 5.6 software package and a two-fluid turbulence model. The results obtained are compared with known experimental data with different pipe diameters. The purpose of this work is to test the ability of models to describe anisotropic turbulence. It is shown that the two-fluid model is more suitable for studying such flows.

Opis:
An unsteady two-dimensional stagnation-point mixed convection flow of a viscous, incompressible dusty fluid towards a vertical stretching sheet has been examined. The stretching velocity and the free stream velocity are assumed to vary linearly with the distance from the stagnation point. The problem is analyzed using similarity solutions. The similarity ordinary differential equations were then solved numerical by using the RKF-45 method. The effects of various physical parameters on the velocity profile and skin-friction coefficient are also discussed in this paper. Some important findings reported in this work reveal that the effect of radiation has a significant impact on controlling the rate of heat transfer in the boundary layer region.
