Financial markets are seen as one of the most important markets in economic terms. The activities of investors in thefinancial markets consist in predicting how best to invest the accumulated capital, using all kinds of analyzes andforecasts. In the literature on the subject, apart from fundamental analysis, technical analysis is distinguished. Whilethe first one is to help you choose a specific asset with profitable potential, technical analysis is designed to help theinvestor find a specific moment that is most suitable for buying or selling. The aim of the article is to demonstratethe potential benefits associated with modifying the default settings of technical analysis indicators on the exampleof the EUR/USD currency pair using the MetaTrader4 investment platform. Analizing was carried out on the basis ofthe most popular currency pair in terms of turnover on the Forex market - EUR/USD. The research used an investmentstrategy based on Parabolic SAR and Relative Strength Index RSI technical analysis indicators, whose indications wereverified both in the context of default settings and after the author‘s modification. The results of the conducted rese-arch indicate significant differences, depending on the adopted parameters of the above-mentioned indicators.

This paper aims to identify changes in consumption by students from Albania, Poland and Portugal in the era of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The study was conducted on a sample of 668 students of the Qiriazi University College and Aldent University in Albania, the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland and the School of Technology and Management of Porto Polytechnic in Portugal. The estimated volumes of basic macroeconomic indicators for this period prove that the crisis caused by the COVID-19 epidemic may be the cause of many adverse changes in various areas of life. The empirical study aimed to determine the impact of the epidemiological situation on changes in the shopping habits of students – designated as young consumers. The main goal was to identify differences in the purchasing decisions of young consumers depending on gender and nationality. The research instrument was a standardized survey questionnaire, which was divided into three thematic blocks. The first part of the questionnaire contains questions on the housing conditions of students, in the second part – activity on the labor market, and in the third part – issues related to shopping and the use of cultural services and the way of spending free time. Some conclusions were drawn from the research: (1) pandemic did not change the periodicity of purchases, (2) from online buying did not show a boom in the samples analyzed in this study, (3) students from these countries changed their shopping behavior in terms of shopping places. The conclusions formulated in the study, as well as the topicality of the issues, allow them to be considered useful for institutional entities interested in observing changes in consumption during the pandemic. The scientific contribution of theoretical and empirical considerations is primarily the systematization of theoretical foundations and the conceptualization of the category of factors determining the diversity of purchasing behavior of young people (students).

The article focuses on the consumption of goods used by consumers of different generations from 3 different countries: Albania, Poland and Portugal. The aim of the analysis was to identify respondents‘ indications concerning: (1) knowledge of the definition of the circular economy, (2) declared by respondents places of purchase of used products and (3) type of purchased products used by respondents. The analysis was conducted among 495 respondents from Albania, Poland and Portugal representing three generations (X, Y, Z). Correspondence analysis was used for statistical data analysis. Statistically significant differences in knowledge of the definition of the circular economy were shown between respondents from Albania, Polish and Portugal. It was also found that respondents‘ preferences regarding the place of purchase of second-hand goods are differentiated (at a statistically significant level) by nationality and year of birth (generation). The obtained results open the possibility of further research aimed at identifying different behaviors among these groups of consumers. The presented work, both in the cognitive and application part, can be a source of knowledge and popularization of research, as well as a source of inspiration for in-depth reflection and scientific discussion. The analyses presented in the publication may complement the existing research in the field of circular economy. Extending the survey to other EU countries can help define a strategy for policymakers, manufacturers and retailers to make greater use of circular economy solutions, while maintaining the viability of their operations.
