- Opis:
- The methods of vegetation and habitat-vegetation studies for geographical landscape research in the scale greater than 1 : 100 000 and based on the field studies are discussed. The table presents the application of individual methods of vegetation study in a variety of landscape research aspects. Account its made of: 1) the role of vegetation in the landscape (the individual methods of vegetation studies may represent vegetation as a geosystem element, or as an indicator of environment properties, or else as an indicator of functional usefulness of the land for various forms of land use), 2) kinds and stages of the studies in which the vegetation studies are employed (typization of geocomplexes, regionalization, studies on evolution of the landscape, metabolism and dynamics of geosystems, geosystem modelling, etc.), 3) orientation of the landscape studies (research in a pure scientific aspect and in the environment planning) and 4) transformation of vegetation by man (natural and transformed vegetation).
