    Este artigo objetiva investigar as estratégias, ações, disputas e conflitos dos EUA em busca de petróleo, sobretudo a partir do pós-guerra, na conformação de sua geopolítica, e seus efeitos para a evolução recente da indústria de petróleo no Brasil. Nesse sentido, parte-se do conceito de economia geopolítica de guerras por recursos, marca fundamental da geopolítica moderna, uma ordem internacional caracterizada por conflitos e disputas entre diferentes atores internacionais e domésticos pelos principais recursos naturais estratégicos do planeta, diante de um cenário de escassez, degradação ambiental, de expansão da economia capitalista e de disputas hegemônicas. Para tanto, foi realizada uma revisão da literatura sobre o tema, com destaque para os principais eventos históricos e ações econômicas e geopolíticas dos EUA associadas ao conceito de guerras por recursos. O trabalho conclui que (i) os EUA sempre atuaram em relação ao petróleo a partir de uma lógica de disputas e conflitos, tanto no campo econômico quanto no campo geopolítico, com o objetivo de fazer valer sua supremacia e de suas empresas nacionais; e (ii) a reação geopolítica dos EUA à mudança de patamar do Brasil no que se refere ao volume de reservas, capacidade produtiva e marco legal do modelo de partilha no governo Dilma Rousseff, definindo a Petrobras como operadora exclusiva, colocou o Brasil no horizonte da guerra por recursos do petróleo.
    This article aims to investigate the strategies, actions, disputes and conflicts of the USA in search of oil, especially after the Second World War, configuring its geopolitics, and its effects for the recent evolution of the oil industry in Brazil. In this sense, it starts from the concept of the geopolitical economy of resource wars, a fundamental characteristic of modern geopolitics, an international order marked by conflicts and disputes between different international and domestic actors searching for the main strategic natural resources on the planet, facing a scenario of scarcity, environmental degradation, expansion of the capitalist economy and hegemonic disputes. Thus, a literature review on this subject was carried out, highlighting the main historical events and economic and geopolitical actions in the USA associated with the concept of resource wars. The work concludes that (i) USA has always played a role in relation to the oil industry based on a logic of disputes and conflicts, both in the economic and in the geopolitical fields, with the objective of asserting its supremacy and that of its national companies; and (ii) the geopolitical reaction of the USA to the change in Brazil's level of the volume of reserves, productive capacity and legal framework (sharing model in the Dilma Rousseff government, defining Petrobras as the exclusive operator), put Brazil on the horizon of oil resource war.

    Suponiendo que en 2050 las ciudades se concentrarán más del 70% de la población mundial, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar el concepto de “Smart Cities” según lo definido por IBM y ya implementado en algunas de las principales ciudades de todo el mundo. El objetivo principal de estos proyectos es lograr una mayor eficiencia y sostenibilidad en la gestión de las ciudades, tratándolos como un sistema complejo. Discutir el concepto de eficiencia y sos¬tenibilidad, las principales conclusiones son que a pesar de que es posible aumentar el nivel de gestión eficiente y sistemas de control, en términos de sostenibilidad, “Smart Cities” puede ser solamente una manera para prolongar la supervivencia de este modelo de sociedad
    Assuming that by 2050 cities will concentrate more than 70% of the world population, this paper aims to analyse the concept of “Smart Cities” as defined by IBM and already implemented in some major cities all over the world. The main goal of these projects is to achieve more efficiency and sustainability in managing the cities, treating them as a complex system. Discussing the concept of efficiency and sustainability, the main conclusions are that although it is possible to increase the level of efficient management and systems of control, in terms of sustainability, considering the thesis of Gilding, this may be a way only to prolong the survival of this model of society

    Rússia e Brasil são países com grande potencial econômico que desenvolvem sua participação no sistema internacional de comércio de maneira crescente. O artigo analisa comparativamente a evolução recente do comércio destes países, além das medidas atuais de política comercial adotada. Observa-se que os países registram características distintas nos dois níveis de análise, mas apresentam importantes pontos de convergência potencial para a formação de futuros acordos estratégicos
    Russia and Brazil are countries with great economic potential and fast development in their participation in the international trading system. This article aims to present a comparative analysis of the recent development of trade in these countries, in addition to current trade policy mechanisms adopted. It is observed that the two countries have different characteristics in the two levels of analysis, but present significant points of potential convergence for the formation of future strategic alliances
