Opis:: According to the EU policy, knowledge-based clusters of interlinked innovative enterprises and excellent research institutes could be among the main levers to foster EU competitiveness in the knowledge-based economy. This policy of the EU assumes a financial support of clusters as a main factor of poorer regions competitiveness rising. This article shows examples of the EU- funds that helped tourism clusters with creating, development and succesfull activity on local and regional markets.

Opis:: The aim of the article is to show how to use European funds as a factor of tourism sector development. Tourism is one of the most prosperous branch of economy that becames an important stimulant of an economic growth in many european regions. The EU- cohesion policy exists in funding domestic, regional and transborder programms of tourism development stimulation in the EU regions. Beneficjaries of these programms are usually territorial goverments, trade organisations, associations, foundations, universities and enterpreneurs. An effective use of european funds make a chance of economic activation of tourism reception areas. Therefore, in all programms co-financing by the EU- funds, that are coverage in Poland, there are included projects of tourism sector development support

Opis:: The aim of this paper is to identify the role of the European Union’s funds in combating unemployment in the Radom district. An active policy on the labour market includes different actions that aim to ameliorate the situation on the labour market. It concerns, amongst others, the programmes that contribute to diminishing the unemployment. In the paper the efficiency of the programmes that focus on combating unemployment in the Radom district between 2005 and 2009 was evaluated. The programmes taken into consideration were financed from both domestic and European Union’s resources. The reemployment rate was utilised. Out of the data analysis it can be derived that the efficiency of these programmes varies to a large extent. This is caused by the legal and administrative conditions as well as from the situation on the local labour market.

Opis:: The goal of this article is to present perspective of using European funds in Ukrainian research institutions. Effective cooperation of Ukraine with the European Union in the direction of research will foster the intensification of political and economic relations, the use of new mechanisms to stimulate research and development of public awareness of the importance of science for the development of society. Coordination of joint research interest is added by the integration of Ukraine (by creating a single space science and technology) with the European Union. Of particular importance is the fact that the mutual benefits of the research programs.
