    Information Technology (IT) entered the world of education with authority and with general assumption that it would enhance students’ learning. It is used in the educational environment for many uses, with class delivery as one of the most important purposes. The aim of the study was to investigate the preferences in the delivery methods by students and compare with those favoured by the instructors. Additionally, the study assessed the use of IT in preparation (by instructors) and access (by students) of material related to learning. A separate issue addressed was classroom cheating by students and IT application for that purpose. The study indicated a clear preference by both students and instructors for blended learning of traditional face to face lecturing with additional on-line material. The study also confirmed the use of IT as a tool for class cheating. Although reluctantly, up to 73% of students confessed to cheating using one or other method.

    Information Technology (IT) is a major part of modern society and is already well embedded in everyday life. IT is believed to be a perfect tool to enhance learning, also at tertiary level. However, it is uncertain whether students use the IT for educational purposes and if that usage is at higher than basic level. The aim of the study was to investigate the use of IT by engineering students and especially their use of technology in the learning process. The study proves that the students are surrounded by common type of IT, such as smartphones and computers, and use them almost constantly. However, its use is not directed towards learning process and especially towards learning engineering applications. The knowledge and skills of programming and specialized engineering software declared by students is astonishingly low for students of engineering faculty. It appears that students’ IT ownership, access, and some, although limited, competencies have not translated into use for educational purposes.

    W artykule poruszony został problem kształcenia studentów w zakresie zakładania własnej działalności gospodarczej. Zaprezentowano wyniki badań dotyczących związku pomiędzy intencjami przedsiębiorczymi studentów a nauczaniem przedsiębiorczości. W opracowaniu omówione zostały również oceny stopnia uzyskania kompetencji związanych z podejmowaniem działalności gospodarczej przeprowadzone przez studentów.
    The article discussed problem of education of students in the field of setting up their own business. It presents results of studies on the relationship between entrepreneurial intentions of students and the teaching of entrepreneurship. The article discusses the assessment of the level of obtaining the competences for setting up new businesses, carried out by students.

    Prezentujemy zalety okulografii oraz metody eye-trackingu w badaniach edukacyjnych. W przeprowadzonym eksperymencie rejestrowaliśmy aktywność oczu studentów w trakcie rozwiązywania testu wyboru dotyczącego problemów przyrodniczych oraz podczas reakcji na zdania dotyczące ich zainteresowania fizyką, ich opinią o przydatności fizyki dla społeczeństwa oraz ich zamiarem zostania przyrodnikami. Zaprezentowano korelację pomiędzy chęcią zostania przyrodnikiem a zainteresowaniem fizyką. Na podstawie analizy aktywności oczu (mapy koncentracji uwagi) sprawdzaliśmy różne strategie rozwiązywania problemów przez dobrze i słabo przygotowanych uczniów. Odkryto niespodziewanie wysoką korelację pomiędzy średnimi czasami fiksacji podczas rozwiązywania różnych zadań przez tę samą osobę. Eksperyment został przeprowadzony w grupie 35 uczniów szkoły średniej
    We present advantages of oculography and eye-tracking method in educational research. In the experiment presented here we have recorded student’s eye activity during solving science choice tests as well as responses to statements concerning their interest in physics, their opinion on usefulness of physics for society and their intention to become scientist. The correlation between the intention to become a scientist and interest in physics has been presented. By analyzing the area of eye activity (heat maps) we have studied different problem solving strategies taken by well and bad prepared students. We have discovered unexpectedly high correlation of average fixation times during solving different tasks for each individual. The experiment was performed on a sample of 35 secondary school students

    Štúdia prezentuje zámery a ciele národného projektu „Dielne“ a vybrané výsledky empirického výskumu, ktorý bol v rámci uvedeného projektu realizovaný v nedávnom období. Čiastkové výsledky zistení analyzuje v súvislosti s grantovým projektom KEGA, ktorý je zameraný na vytvorenie metodiky aplikácie interaktívnej tabule pre prípravu učiteľov nižšieho stupňa stredného vzdelávania (technika, fyzika a matematika) na vysokých školách.
    This paper presents the aims and objectives of the “Workshop” national project and gives empirical research results of the research which was conducted as part of this project recently. Partial research results are analyzed in relation to the KEGA grant project which aims to create an instruction for use of a whiteboard serving to train pre-service teachers of the basic school (technology, physics and mathematics) at the universities.

    The authors present the results of research carried out in 2017/2018 academic year and compare them with the results obtained in 1999/2000 academic year. The aim of the study was to find out the changes in students’ motivation for learning English as a second language in general and changes in hierarchy of motives which have a strong positive effect on learning English as a second language from diachronic point of view. The methods of mathematical statistics and computer data processing as well as discursive reflection for making conclusions were used in the research. 97 Law, Economics and Agro-ecology students of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine completed a questionnaire for collecting data and evaluating motives. The results of the research have shed light on motives and motivation of present-day Law, Economics and Agro- -ecology students who learn English as a second language at higher educational institution.

    Opis:
    Nauczyciele przedszkoli, szkół i ośrodków specjalnych dla dzieci i młodzieży z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną w stopniu umiarkowanym lub znacznym wykorzystują w swojej pracy metody, które można nazwać edukacyjno-terapeutycznymi. Specyfika tych metod pozwala realizować nauczycielom zarówno cele edukacyjne, jak i terapeutyczne, a więc te, które wynikają z podstawowych zadań kształcenia specjalnego i rehabilitacji (rewalidacji) uczniów z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną w stopniu głębszym. Edukacja i rehabilitacja tej grupy uczniów stanowi nierozerwalny układ, tzn. procesy te wzajemnie się przenikają i uzupełniają. W artykule wskazano metody stosowane w placówkach specjalnych, omówiono także zasady i warunki, jakimi powinien kierować się nauczyciel, decydując się na ich zastosowanie. W związku z tym, iż niektóre z metod wykorzystuje się także w pracy z uczniami z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną w stopniu głębokim, zawarte tu refleksje i sugestie odnoszą się również do tej grupy osób.
    The teachers who work at kindergartens, schools and special centres for children and the youth with moderate or severe intellectual disability employ methods that can be called educational and therapeutic. The specificity of these methods allows teachers to pursue both educational and therapeutic goals, that is those that stem from the basic objectives of special education and rehabilitation (special therapy) of students with profound intellectual disabilities. Education and rehabilitation of this group of students constitute an inseparable system, i.e. these processes intertwine and complement each other. This paper indicates the methods used in special institutions; the terms and conditions that should be observed by the teachers who have decided to employ such methods are also discussed here. Due to the fact that some of the methods are also used while working with students with profound intellectual disabilities, the reflections and suggestions presented here apply also to this group of people.

    The article presents the results of own research, the aim of which was to get to know opinionson gender-based equal opportunities for academic employees of the oldest pedagogical universityin Poland among these employees and among the students. The results demonstrated the occurrence of gender discrimination at the university.
