    Opis:
    The aim of the article is to look closely at the Internet actions of activists from the perspective of glocalization. It also aims at answering the question whether the Internet, as the basic tool of activists actions and internal and external communication, can be an independent and effective medium; in other words, can attention of wide public be won only thanks to the Web itself, without the use of mainstream media. Another question is, how is the flow of information, ideas or strategies directed: does the polycentric Web favour horizontal communication (between local units) or does it rather foster the vertical, but two-way path of communication, from the local to the global, and from the global to the local?

    Artykuł omawia intersekcjonalne przejawy/przedstawienia tożsamości aktywistycznej w internecie. Śledząc działania Evelyn (Eve) C., artykuł rozważa pozycję tak zwanych nowych ekspertów wśród peer-supporterek i blogerek w społecznościach internetowych skupionych na perinatalnym zdrowiu psychicznym i karmieniu piersią. Celem artykułu jest zbadanie wzmacniających możliwości indywidualnych przedstawień złożonych tożsamości aktywistów, mogących prowadzić do zwiększenia poparcia dla kolektywnych celów aktywistek zainteresowanych zagadnieniami związanymi ze zdrowiem.
    The article looks at the intersectional performances of activist identity online. By tracing the work of Evelyn C., the article considers the position of emergent experts among the peer supporters and bloggers in online communities centred on perinatal mental health and breastfeeding. Through this, it seeks to explore the augmenting possibilities embodied in individual performances of complex activist identities for collective advancement of identity-based health-concerned activist groups.

    Opis:
    From the very beginning, performance art has been anti-institutional and counter-cultural. Because of that performance artists tended to look for other channels to achieve visibility, often intentionally avoiding it. Since the late 1960s performance art has been exhibited in independent art spaces, at festivals organised by other artists, as well as in public space as guerrilla actions. This paper discusses a subjective selection of the most interesting socially or politically-engaged performances, which at present have taken the form of perfoactivism, functioning outside the art market and popularly understood art institutions. This article is also a review of criticism around artivism, focused on writers such as Gregory Sholette, Boris Groys, Grant Kester, and Claire Bishop.

    The article focuses on an artist and activist collective Guerrilla Girls, created in 1985 in order to fight discrimination in the art field. It presents the group’s strategies, using selected actions as examples. The article is also a critical analysis of the collective’s achievements in the context of feminist theories, especially one concerning the relations between feminism and issues of race and ethnicity. The author is also interested in the connections between members of the group and the art system, as well as questions on sexism in the contemporary art field, after 30 years of Guerrilla Girls’ existence.

    The paper concerns the ideological profile of urban movements in Poland. In the first part, the author definesthe concept of urban movement based on the related literature and outlines the history of the urban matterin Poland. Then, attempts are made to reconstruct the ideological profile of urban activism. This is done onthe basis of an analysis that includes the main ideas to which urban activists refer (right to the city, idea ofparticular narratives, city-view) as well as the urban theses that include the postulations developed by theCongress of Urban Movements being the effect of consolidation activities in the Polish urban movements’environment. In conclusion, the key groups of postulations formulated by activists in Polish cities are analysedthrough the perspective of the views contained in the main contemporary political doctrines.

    The paper presents the experience and results of an Alliance between academia and activism, concerning equality/antidisriminatory education, through the example of informal Lodz Gender group. It describes academic background of activists and trainers, such as training winter school organized for them by the Lodz University. It also describes, in detail, educational program conducted by informal Lodz Gender group. Moreover, it points out background of such alliance and its advantages.
