    Artykuł omawia postulowany przez papieża Franciszka dialog w życiu i misji Kościoła. Przedstawia analizy wypowiedzi papieża Franciszka oraz jego poprzedników i dokumentów Soboru Watykańskiego II. Prezentuje papieskie rozumienie dialogu oraz jego  antropologiczne i teologiczne podstawy. Uzasadnia dialogiczny wymiar przepowiadania kościelnego i postuluje stosowanie w nim metod inkulturacji i akomodacji oraz wspólnotowego rozeznawania znaków czasów. Wskazuje, że dialog jest metodą duszpasterską, która pozwala urzeczywistniać soborową wizję Kościoła jako wspólnoty. Omawia zaproponowaną przez papieża Franciszka  synodalność jako styl życia Kościoła w dialogu wewnątrzkościelnym. Podkreśla potrzebę formacji do dialogu duchownych i świeckich oraz pogłębienie eklezjologii Soboru Watykańskiego II przez katechezę. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań wskazują, że dialog jest właściwym narzędziem przeobrażenia misyjnego Kościoła, do którego wzywa papież Franciszek.
    This article discusses dialogue in the life and mission of the Church as postulated by Pope Francis. It presents an analysis of the statements of Pope Francis and his predecessors as well as documents of the Second Vatican Council. It presents the papal understanding of dialogue and its anthropological and theological foundations. It justifies the dialogical dimension of ecclesial preaching and advocates the use of inculturation and accommodation methods, as well as communal discernment of the signs of the times. It points out that dialogue is a pastoral method that makes it possible to implement the Conciliar vision of the Church as a community. It discusses the synodality proposed by Pope Francis as a style of life for the Church in intra-ecclesial dialogue. It emphasizes the need for formation of dialogue between clergy and laity and for deepening the ecclesiology of the Second Vatican Council through catechesis. The results of the study indicate that dialogue is an appropriate tool for the missionary transformation of the Church called for by Pope Francis.

    “Particular Churches, in which and from which, the one and only Catholic Church exists, are principally dioceses. Unless the contrary is clear, the following are equivalent to a diocese: a territorial prelature, a territorial abbacy, a vicariate apostolic, a prefecture apostolic and a permanently established apostolic administration” (canon 368 of the Code of Canon Law). In December 2016, the Bishop of Tarnów convened the 5th Synod of the Diocese of Tarnów. The main purpose of a Synod – in the opinion of the Bishop of Tarnów – was to demonstrate the spiritual, pastoral and material heritage of the Christ’s Church in the Diocese of Tarnów; to revive faith, hope and love in the personal and community relationship with Christ in the Church; and to indicate new pastoral ways in the changeability of the world towards the unchangeability of Christ. Taking this into consideration the article analyzes the following issues: the definition of a synod; the purpose of a synod; convocation of and presiding over a diocesan synod; the preparation of a synod; Pope Francis about synodality, and finally “The Church is our neighbour” – a synod as an expression of love for the Church.

    Artykuł podejmuje najnowszą historię zabiegów Kościoła o poprawę jakości homilii. Materiałem źródłowym są teksty zawarte w dokumentach z różnych synodów w XXI wieku podejmujących kwestię homilii oraz dokumenty z różnych etapów synodu o synodalności, a także opublikowane owoce badań przeprowadzonych przez teologów w Polsce nad realnie wygłoszonymi homiliami. Przeprowadzone analizy pozwoliły stwierdzić, że uczestnicy Mszy Świętej bardzo sobie cenią słuchanie homilii i oczekują ich, nawet w dni powszednie. Krytyczna ocena jakości homilii dotyczy ubóstwa treści doktrynalnych, słabego osadzenia w celebrowanym misterium, braku spójności wskazań moralnych z proklamowanym orędziem. W krótkim podsumowaniu zaproponowana jest propozycja poprawy jakości homilii.
    This article deals with the newest history of the Church’s efforts to improve the quality of homilies. The source material is the texts contained in documents from various synods in the 21st century dealing with the issue of homilies and documents from various stages of the synod on synodality, as well as the published results of research conducted by theologians in Poland on some given homilies. The conducted analyzes allows for the conclusion that the participants of the Holy Mass greatly appreciate listening to homilies and expect them, even on weekdays. A critical assessment of the quality of the homily concerns the poverty of doctrinal content, poor grounding in the celebrated mystery, and the lack of coherence of moral indications with the proclaimed message. In a short summary, some suggestions to improve the quality of homilies are proposed.

    Among the proposals for the implementation of the motu proprio Spiritus Domini and Antiquum Ministerium of Pope Francis (2021), opening the instituted ministries also to women and to lay people not on the way to ordination, the Note of the Italian Bishops’ Conference of June 2022, is certainly one of the most relevant with respect to the discernment, formation and conditions of access of candidates. By receiving a sacramental from the bishop in a community liturgy, for a perennial ministry at the service of the Word of God, the care of the body of Christ in the Eucharist and in the sick, as well as for Christian initiation and small base communities, the instituted ministers can contribute to the synodal revitalization of the ecclesial communion. Decreed ad experimentum for three years, the Italian document can inspire other Bishops’ Conferences around the world.

    Celem artykułu było ukazanie sposobu postępowania wspólnoty pierwotnego Kościoła wobec problemu przyjęcia do wspólnoty zbawienia wykluczonych wcześniej pogan. Kwestia ta stanowiła wielkie wyzwanie teologiczne, pastoralne i normatywnodyscyplinarne dla chrześcijaństwa początków. Zagadnienie przedstawione zostało w trzech punktach. Z uwagi na fakt, iż przedmiotem rozważań był eklezjalny proces decyzyjny dotyczący norm postępowania, w punkcie pierwszym zdefiniowane zostało pojęcie decyzji moralnej w jej trójwymiarowości czasowej. Stwierdziliśmy, że rozpoznanie prawdy moralnej jest owocem spotkania między przeznaczeniem (ἔσχατος), zbawczym działaniem Chrystusa (κριτήριον) oraz rzeczywistością wymagającą przemiany (καιρός). W centralnym, drugim punkcie ukazano paradygmat procesu eklezjalnej decyzji, którego owocem było pełne włączenie do wspólnoty Kościoła wykluczonych etnochrześcijan. Kościół czasu soboru w Jerozolimie na „sposób synodalny” podjął problem wykluczonych i rozwiązał go w wyważonym połączeniu prawdy, wolności i miłości, stając się pod tym względem koniecznym punktem odniesienia dla procesu rozeznawania wspólnoty chrześcijan każdego czasu. Przypomniano o tym w trzecim punkcie artykułu, który dedykowany został aktualnym wskazaniom na temat rozeznawania wspólnotowego zawartym w dokumencie Biblia a moralność. Wskazano w nim, iż Pismo Święte, niezbędne źródło inspiracji dla procesu rozeznawania eklezjalnego, nadal stanowić powinno konieczny punkt odniesienia dla rozwiązywania przez Kościół nowych, aktualnych problemów etycznych. Celem najważniejszym, który udało się osiągnąć, było zaproponowanie synodalności, starożytnej kościelnej metody rozeznawania, chrześcijańskiej „kultury dialogu i spotkania” jako skutecznej metody przezwyciężania degradującej współczesną cywilizację „kultury wykluczenia”.
    The aim of the article is to examine the way, in which the community of the Church acted in confrontation with a huge theological, pastoral, normative, and disciplinary challenge set in front of the early Christianity by an ethical issue of accepting into the community of salvation those, who were excluded so far, i.e. pagans. The issue has been approached in three points. As the issue in question deals with the ecclesiastical process of taking decisions around norms of behavior, the first point brings a definition of a moral decision in its three-dimensional time structure. In the second, the central point of the paper, a paradigm for an ecclesiastical decision making process has been presented. The reflection has been based on the narrative from Acts 15, 1–35 concerning Jerusalem Council, a process that brought excluded ethno-Christians to the community of the Church. The third, final point of the analysis has been dedicated to the present issues of a communitarian discernment, as they are presented in a document of the Pontifical Biblical Commission The Bible and Morality. The document presents the Holy Bible as an indispensable source for the ecclesiastical discernment process, and as a necessary point of reference for the new ethical issues.

    Od pierwszych dni pontyfikatu papieża Franciszka katolicy na całym świecie usiłują zrozumieć intencje, które przyświecają następcy Piotra, kiedy zabiera głos w istotnych dla nauczania Kościoła kwestiach. U wielu katolików niektóre elementy nauczania Franciszka rodzą niepokój, u innych zdziwienie, a jeszcze inni entuzjastycznie je aprobują. Tekst jest próbą analizy niektórych elementów nauczania Franciszka i genetycznego pochodzenia głoszonych treści, które implikują niewierność przyjętemu nauczaniu Magisterium. Wśród analizowanych tematów są podejmowane przez papieża zagadnienia: rozumienie Kościoła, prymat Piotra, małżeństwo katolickie, dialog międzyreligijny, ekologia. Autor poszukuje odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy papież odczytuje znaki czasu i dostosowuje nauczanie Kościoła do mentalności i realiów życia współczesnego człowieka, czy też dokonuje przewrotu, który może przynieść trudne do przewidzenia konsekwencje.
    From the first days of Pope Francis’ pontificate, Catholics around the world have been trying to understand the intentions of the Successor of Peter when he speaks on issues important to the teaching of the Church. For many Catholics, some elements of Francis’ teaching are disturbing, others are surprised, and still others enthusiastically endorse them. This text is an attempt to analyze some elements of Francis’ teaching and the genetic origin of the proclaimed content, which imply an infidelity to the accepted teaching of the Magisterium. The topics analyzed include the following issues raised by the Pope: understanding of the Church and the primacy of Peter, Catholic marriage, interreligious dialogue, and ecology. The author is looking for an answer to the question of whether the Pope reads the signs of the times and adjusts the teaching of the Church to the mentality and realities of modern life, or whether he is staging a coup that may bring consequences that are difficult to predict.
