    This article is about hypertext as a phenomenon directly imbedded in globalization. The dynamie development of various nonlinear processes has led to the active development ofnon-linearity in language. This is most evident in the linguistic unit of the hypertext. In particular, the electronic hypertext reveals features that have never before existed in language, making the classification and regulation of these features at th s stage o f language leaming impossible, as the traditional definition o f standards is based on a linear languagelevel, and hypertext, a complicated non-hnear formation, with the signs o f other semiotic systems, in other languages, etc.

    By dissolving the linear reception of texts, the recipient becomes a co-author intervening in the textual process (cf., Hess-Lüttich 1997: 134), who creates intertextual links, according to his or her reading strategy. This is how hypertexts and text networks arecreated, which still represent a linguistically under-researched area. What seems to be interesting here is the question of the differences between the two phenomena. The new trends can be particularly observed in business communication. For this reason, the present paper focuses on business-related texts to better illustrate the new linguistic phenomenon of text networking. The analysis is based on the Internet career pages of selected Polish and German public companies. The author attempts to find an answer to the question of the linguistic status of these websites, whether they should be defined as hypertexts or as components of larger networks of texts (textual genres). Furthermore, the aim of the paper is to point out relevant cultural and industryrelateddifferences based on the analysis of the frequency and specificity of text linking in the context of employee recruitment in Polish and German professional contexts.

    Współczesne badania w zakresie stanowienia prawa w formie elektronicznej potwierdzają tezę, że teksty prawne udostępniane za pomocą różnego rodzaju systemów informacji prawnej tworzą strukturę hipertekstu. Z kolei badania nad hipertekstami wykazują, że zastosowanie tej technologii podważa strukturalistyczne teorie tekstu, które leżą u podstaw tradycyjnych zasad techniki legislacyjnej oraz dyrektyw wykładni prawa. W związku z tym w artykule omówiono sposób, w jaki hipertekst można wykorzystać dodostarczenia informacji prawnych. W szczególności poniższe rozważania koncentrują się na analizie zastosowania hipertekstu do przetwarzania dokumentów prawnych (w tym cyfrowej reprezentacji tekstów prawnych) oraz możliwościach, które pojawiają się w tym obszarze w związku z opracowaniem tzw. hipertekstów adaptacyjnych. Na tej podstawie podjęta została próba odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jakim zakresie i w jaki sposób można zastosować hipertekst adaptacyjny do prezentacji i analizy tekstów prawnych oraz czy zastosowanie tego rozwiązania może wpłynąć na tradycyjne praktyki prawne związane z opracowywaniemi interpretacją tekstów prawnych.
    Modern research on lawmaking in electronic format confirms the thesis that legal texts made available by means of various types of legal information systems form a hypertext structure. Furthermore, research on hypertexts confirms that the use of this technology undermines the structuralist theories of text that underlie traditional methods of legislation and interpretation of law. In this article, an attempt is made to show how a hypertext can be used to provide legal information and how it can affect traditional legal practices connected with drafting and interpreting legal texts. In particular, the considerations will focus on the analysis of the use of hypertext for the processing of legal documents (including digital representation of legal texts) and the possibilities that arise in this area in connection with the development of the so-called adaptive hypertexts. On this ground the question is analyzed whether and, if so, to what extent and in what way an adaptive hypertext can be used for the presentation and analysis of legal texts.
